I'm very happy to express my opinions on Hemas Hospital. They are effectively managing a large number of patients. very experienced and well qualified Doctors are on call here 24 hours a day, and the staff behavior is really impressive. The maternity ward staff in particular is so kind and takes care of all the formalities on their own. In any other hospital, I've never encountered employees as accommodating. I'm grateful for their promptness and assistance, which enabled a timely discharge with minimum follow-up.

What you do here is just disgusting. My grandfather was admitted for a week and was kept in the ICU for almost 5 days with fake reports of him being very sick. He was in better condition when he was at home. Just a day before we decided to discharge him, he was given powerful medications (obviously the hospital wanted to keep him longer cuz ICU charges and his treatment charges were very expensive). Sadly my grandfather passed away the same day we were gonna take him home. Later when we asked for the reports and showed them to a different doctor, it was proven that whatever the reason the doctor and the nurses told to keep my grandpa in the ICU was all a lie. Very disgusted by this place. I will give 0 stars if possible.

If you want an accurate and speedy PCR test done DO NOT use Hemas. It's been 3 days and I still haven't got my results and all they do is send you from one department to another. Incapable hospital to say the least - if you do not have the capability or the resources to handle such a high influx of tests (which you should have been prepared for) don't do it.

Not very clean. Washrooms were too old and not maintained properly. Healthcare is acceptable. But not recommend to admit there for a serious illness or a operation. They took nearly 4 hours to prepare the final bill and the people in the billing section were very bad at their customer service. They dont even know how to talk to the people. Health staff is very friendly. AC in the room was great. They provide amenity kit at admission. Food were also good and tasty. They get feedback daily and correct the issues in a quick manner. That is appreciated.

We pay Rs.2050 just for an appointment with a doctor and still wait for more than one hour. Nobody is bothered to inform if the doctor is late. What is the point of taking an “appointment” if the Doctors are never on that time? Please kindly take an action nobody comes to pay here for waiting? As a hospital always know that your customers are patients and needs immediate attention not waste their precious time just for waiting hours and hours even after taking the appointment.

As of 24th January 2024 Great customer service, clean and nice hospital. Nurses and other staff were friendly, and they took good care of the patient. Cleaning, kitchen & maintenance staff is also very quick friendly & helpful. It's even easy for bystanders as well. Large free parking available. Restaurant by remarko is available for dine in. A separate menu is also available for bystanders. One ATM is available.

The hospital provided excellent service and care. The staff was very friendly. Specially Nelum ward nurses & doctors provided extremely high-quality service with love & care. Foods were the best quality and delicious. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Highly appreciate the all staff members, nurses & doctor's efforts to keep the quality. No words to express the excellent impression. We wish you all the very best & thanks once again Team ♥️

Cant complain about the service from medical staff.bill preparation is bit slow.they told us they will contact us after the bill preparation but never did and this happened to me both times when i was there.some staff members (not medical staff) discussing there personal matters loudly with the presence of patients and thats really unprofessional.quality of the attached bathrooms are way below my expectations.

My kids have been admitted several times here. Friendly helpful staff. After several years again had to get a room but all were occupied, so admitted to a 4 beds ward. Luckily only we were in it. Seems hospital needs a renovation now. Charges are very high, hope it's due to inflation. But too much in my opinion. Meal plans for patients are better than our previous stays.

This has been a practice with Hemas to keep the patients wait for hours. If there is a delay in doctor coming it has be informed as it is the due to responsibility of the hospital. As we do not have direct touch with doctors. Everyone has there own appointments and schedules for a day. This is just beyond ridiculous. As I was initially called and informed that my appointment time is rescheduled to an hour late. Then after coming to the rescheduled time the doctor is not available despite another hour passed. Discipline is very important and plays a major role here as this is a hospital serving patients. This thing needs to be addressed by the management.

Doctors are very rude. They make plenty of money why can't they be happy and do there job right. They don't bother to explain, they treat patients as if they are doing a doing it for free. There are very good doctors, but Hemas, please get rid of the bad ones.Poor patients will appreciate it very much.

Zero rating and never visit this hospital for any reason. Make people to get hospitalized and charge unfairly. They informed us that patient is in a critical situation wherein all the doctors were visiting the patient every two days. Just to hike the bills they made us to do many unnecessary tests and suggested to do a surgery. When we visited another hospital with the reports they said all the reports are normal. In a situation like pandemic, can't even imagine how people are so money minded. I guess they don't want repeated and loyal customers. Pathetic!

Very unhappy with the delay arrivals of doctors. We faced this problem all the time we visit. please pay your attention on this. And also your live track app is very poor. When the 1,2,3 numbers are absent, you take in number 4. If Im number 5 I will check the app and come quickly. But during that time 1,2,3 number has come. So I have to wait until 1,2,3 finish their one. So please update the absent number list with the ongoing number. No medicines in the pharmacy which doctors are reccomend. The best option and only one good service we can get from hemas is..... we can see our Sugar, lipid etc.. reports through website...😁

Me and others who came to do PCR (covid) tests had to wait for about 7 hours to finish the tests. Please expand the outdoor test area and assign more staff to do the tests. Dont tire out the staff either. This is one of the worst private hospital experiences. I hope the management will consider this. Edit : The website to view the report and the app is not working either

I came here 3 times due to a knee injury. No priority parking for those who can’t injured and with physical impairment. Poor customer service. Wheel chair assist only available in front and they leave you in different places and leaves. Does not care about patients what’s so ever. Very poor service. Do not recommend at all.

First of all I would like to thank the staff of the hospital for providing a very friendly and efficient service. From admission to discharge, required information were provided in an organized manner and we were fully guided through the whole procedure by a skilled staff. The food and beverages we received during the period was very good. Maintains cleanliness and hygiene of the entire hospital including rooms and bathroom at its top level. Other facilities such as hot & cool drinking water, tv, car parking, easy accessibility should be appreciated. (Room no 205, admitted date 2022/04/15)

Hospital staff was super friendly and nice and was there when needed. We were in a semi luxury room and it was fine for the price. However, the billing process took more than 3 hours to finish and adding the processing time on insurance company’s end, it took close to 4 hours. If you are looking for an attentive staff with good care, this is great, but expect disappointment at the end.

Worse private hospital experience i have ever had. Consulted a doctor for fever, paid 2350LKR for channeling and doctor asked us to go for a Covid Antigen test which cost me 2000LKR and Doc said he will be there in the antigen test area which is back side of the hospital. I was waiting for almost 15 mins for Lab staffs to come and do the test. Doc came and asked for antigen report but lab staffs failed to done it before doc required. Doctor peacefully prescribed some medicines for fever and left telling us come back tomorrow if the report is positive because doc did not wanted to wait for another 10 min for the report which i have already paid for. Should i spend my time and fuel again in next day for same reason ?. Even after 4 days patient was not recovering i just call the hospital and ask whether i should channel the doc again or have a visit with the previous channeling. Hospital confirmed we are ok to come and see the doc if the channeling is with in 7 days. But after waited 15 numbers in the queue Doc said since he has prescribed medicines only for 4 days we have to pay for another appointment which Cost me 2350LKR. For the god sake are these doctors or money eating bats?. I would rather call this as a gambling spot not a hospital. Customer service is worst. Girls on the front desk thinks they are sitting on rolls royce but they provide a Maruti 800 service. They always talking to phone like they just woke up. Hemas had a good brand name and we got your service multiple times previously but seems now time for you guys to learn what is customer service

I went to Hemas Hospital to have my son's vaccination. No busy and no crowded at the time I went there, around 11:00 am. Having enough space in the car park, hospital inside having a lot seating capacity and saw several reception counters for different appointments. Have to consult the doctor before vaccination and it is of fee Rs.440/-. And have to buy the injection separate. Then have to go to vaccination room and there is very kind master there, and he did it very kindly, no hurry for him, took his time and did it carefully, my son didn't cry much and he said it was not painful. So, I'm happy, Have good toilets, and on the first floor there is a canteen. And there is a kids play area, but nothing to play. Anyway the paintings are nicer and attractive.

The Hospital Management, Do we have to pay for long waiting and for loitering. It's our valuable time and hard earned money. Fertility channelling is always late and we pay for waiting. I paid lot for fertility channelling and at the end of it paid 12400 for IUI. as I have heard IUI has to be completed within 36 hrs of last injection. But, I have already passed two hrs of it and still waiting. That is as I have heard and not with my medical knowledge. Hospital staff said it should be within 36hrs. So, I can't understand what blunder I'm doing by paid and waiting. Make me aware of this situation and as I don't know after how many hours IUI to be completed after last injection. If my dough is correct don't do same to your innocent customers. Please make me aware. Thank you.

Its been freaking 9 days since one of my relatives did a PCR test for Covid-19 at this hospital and until now (210pm, 31st Aug 2021) they have failed to send us the test result. They called after two and half days to inform that the patient was positive but never really bothered to send the report to the given email address nor they uploaded same in their link sent via a SMS. I have made numerous calls to inquire same but each time they said there's something wrong with the provided link and the matter has been escalated to the next level but never provided a solution. It is the right of the patient to obtain the report after making the payment and the management of Hemas hospital, Wattala royally failed in delivering their promises. I personally never step in to this place ever since they handed over a wrong blood report for me some years ago but went this time due to the request made by my relative. Check the comments made by other people regarding long delays of PCR test reports at this place. One star was given since I couldn't post this without it but honestly they don't deserve it at all. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL TO DO YOUR PCR OR ANY OTHER REPORTS!!!#hemashospitalwattala#worsthospitalinsrilanka#whyyoushouldavoidhemas#maximumcustomerdissatisfaction

Excellent medical treatment! Got service of the best specialists in Sri Lanka! However, admin service was pathetic and witnessed unbelievable delays and malpractices in the billing department. early in morning got discharged by the doctor. However, spend additional 4-5 hours until billing is finalized. Perhaps billing department is also a victim of a bad system, as customers, we experience it from them. So I don't direct my finger only towards them, I see a good medical facility is trapped in a bad system. They really need to an upgrade

Hemas Hospital is a good private hospital in Sri Lanka, got a Laser Varicose surgery done for my family member, very friendly staff , nurses are always willing to help, OPD doctor was also very good. Dr Aruna Weerasoriya was the surgeon and he also allowed me to join the surgery as well upon my request. Hospital rooms are also good, washroom was clean, food was good and new view out from room. I do have some suggestions too which I will directly communicate to the hospital.

Probably the worst place you will be to, the waiting time to the way the staff responds utterly slow in time. Nothing happens on time very slow service and the support staff is at times very arrogant. Adding to that there's not enough chairs for the patients to be accommodated. Most the patients end up standing and waiting for hours.

Went to hemas wattala for small injury in chin of my 2 year old baby they made scared us and they put two stitches and charged for 5300rs. Then asked me to come again in two days for a dressing and just applied bethadine with and surgical spirit and charged another 500rs. And four days later went to remove stitches of my baby and have to wait for half and hour to get into emergency treatment unit. And while removing so called nurse they do not know to how to hold a baby without moving and she told that she cant find the not and she searching the not with a small blade which made my baby more painful and bleed. And again charged another 700rs for that wonderful service and again they want us to come in two days after checking the wound by us itself. Such an irresponsible staff and moneyminded hospital i have ever seen. Leesons ragama is 1000 times better hospital than this.

we have had many uncomfortable moments since some of the staff are not friendly and can be very rude in providing information. I specifically focus this complaint to the people working at the blood bank, day treatment unit, and customer service hotline. Also the security at the Thalawatugoda entrance. I've experienced better service quality at another competitor of Hemas Hospital and I recommend the management to rectify the issues in order to offer a better service to the potential clients.

After that came to ward for the test. Now time is 6.07 pm. Still doctor did not come. Furthermore other staff attitudes are very ugly and no body gives acceptable Answers for the delay. To whom we should complain. No body. Government must see these things. This is the first and last visit for hemas Wattala.

Poorly organized hospital. I visited to consult a Specialized VOG after open the country back due to the Covid pandemic. Usually we are consult a Doctor in private hospital, because we want to talk with Doctor in more details. I visited my wife, because she is pregnant. But the management allows enter only the patient. As a husband and wife we both need to talk to the Doctor. Even I have explained the situation, they didn't let me in and. They do this to prevent spreading Corona. Even this is not a good solution to prevent social gathering, I had to obey. But could see there is no such social distance maintaining out side the door. They have only 4 hand operated taps out side and lot of people stick together at that point to wash their hands. This is a kind of a joke, without letting husband and wife to discuss with the doctor and giving poor facilities to their customers against the government request. I have visited other private hospitals also for some medical treatment purposes during the pandemic, and they are not behaving like this. Disgusting place. Don't consult doctors hear.

Have parking space and separate emergency & OPD services area. And they're following COVID-19 precautions as much better. I came to here with my sister, but they only allow patient to go inside. Sometimes it's makes us disappointed but have to follow Covid 19 precautions. But I have place appointment for at 1.30pm they've informed us around 1pm doctor will be late at 2.45pm. And I came on 2.45pm doctor doesn't come at on time . I have waited for long time , that mean earlier appointment booking is useless in this Covid 19 situation.

Service needs improvements. I did a few tests today @ wattala branch and received a text message to access the reports. It didn’t list the correct reports and I waited for another 1.5 hrs before checking again to ensure enough time is given. As it was still not available I had to call the hotline number provided in text message. Call kept transferring to around 5 people ( not a problem) and I kept explaining my issue 5 times. Last person asked for my phone number and ended the call. Now 4 hours after receiving the text the reports are not there and no other communication from them. During a pandemic like this it would be helpful if I can avoid another trip to collect reports. But they didn’t even attend to my complaint and looks like I spent my time for a useless call

This hospital needs to improve its service! Has some good doctors coming on weekends, but hospital needs to address the quality of the interactions between some of the weekday doctors and paying patients. One of the doctors were absurdly rude and the nurse was too scared to do anything. Have informed in writing (with zero response so far) and will be avoiding far as possible.

My dad got treated at this hospital for an infection and kidney issue. He recovered well. The staff were friendly and helpful. I generally visit this hospital first for most of my medical needs since then. That said, even though the hospital used to be very efficient, in recent years, there has been a gradual decline in that efficiency. 2020-2021, it is understandable because of the pandemic as health care staff are over burdened but even before it was in a gradual decline. However I think if they increase the number of staff, this can be easily addressed... so that front desk and pharmacy areas are better equipped to reduce delays and long queues during busy hours. Their home care system is not functioning well at the moment as requests for home care for an elderly patient did not receive efficient response. Their lab testing is very good - my reports were available on the same day via their website. Also, they've implemented a very good system when channeling doctors - that is very helpful. When you channel a doctor, now you get a sms with a link that leads to the patient profile and appointment details. The appointment details are live and up to date - so we can refer to this link to get an update when the doctor actually arrives and even to see which appointment number is currently taken in (which is a relief because some doctors consistently get very late for their appointments). Overall, I think there is room for improvement but they are trustworthy for most general medical needs.

Did my PCR yesterday with the anticipation of getting the report via e-mail before 11.00 am, but even at 1.40 PM it's not available. Trying since 11.30 am to call Hemas wattala for the report, but up to now, unable to contact, despite even trying the emergency number. I have to CANCEL MY TRIP NOW as I can't proceed without the report. I WILL NEVER SIGHT THIS PLACE AGAIN IN MY LIFE! Pathetic telephone PABX /contact system. "All agents are busy right now" is the response from all extensions including Emergency Service. If you are in an emergency situation and wanted to contact Hemas, call Jayarathna or Raymond's Funeral Directors instead.

Was there for a PCR test for my return flight to Germany. No appointment required. I went in at 10am and was a bit lost because there are so many counters. A lady then asked me and led me to registration and to the back of the hospital where the tests take place. You will need your passport and 6,500 rupees, cash only. You will be given a number, there are two "zones" - one for PCR and one for rapid tests. So I only waited about 45 minutes when she was already calling my number and I asked the nurse to email me the results which was no problem at all. Officially they say it takes around 24-36 hours to get the results. But I had mine the next day at 9am, less than 20 hours later. Everything was friendly and professional.

This is regarding a blood test result for which the sample was given to Hemas sample collecting place at Panadura, opposite the base hospital panadura. The sample for test was given along with samples for 2 other tests, on the 6 th February 2022. At the time of payment, it was informed that all the 3 reports will be ready within 5 days, and that a message to the mobile would be sent once the reports are ready. A week passed, no messages were received and there was no response for any of the calls taken to the test lab moratuwa or the panadura sample collecting place. Once we called the hemas hotline number and inquired about the reports we were informed that all the 3 reports were ready. On 12 th when we went to hemas panadura, only 2 of the reports were available. Once checked for the remaining report we were informed that it was not ready. The woman there got the email address from us and said that the report will be ready by the following day which was 13 th February and that an email would be sent before that. However no such email was received even now. Once given telephone calls to the numbers, none of the numbers were of a response. On poya day, 16 th February, when we try to go to that place, it was closed, all the other sample collecting places at Panadura were open, only this was closed. When called to the number on 17th, the woman answered and said the reports was ready. When inquiried about the email, she said that it has to be requested from Moratuwa, how pathetic. There was not even a message received that the report was ready. She said she d check about the email, but no response until now. Is this the attitude of the people working at Hemas? Or is this how they have been instructed to treat customers? To everyone we know, we will definitely say, never to go to hemas for anything.

A machine is not functioning at the Ultra Sound Department , Hemas Hospital does only the possible scan and ignored the one they cannot do. I then found this when I received the report and asked them if they had done the scan properly , they said they have done only what they could do , which is childish answer from such a reputed hospital . I then contacted the CRM manager and explained the situation to him , to which he agreed for another re-scan , for which I did't agree and asked for the full refund . They accepted it and refunded it fully. Fact is hospital sees the patient as a way of making money and not curing the patient. The patient who went for the scan had being staying for over 6 hrs of fasting and the hospital does a scan and says such a answer. Hence please ask in future if they could do exactly what the doctor has requested.

I delivered 2 babies at this hospital in 2020 and 2022. So the staff always care me and babies, advice well and treat well. Give medicine at correct time. So it is easy for me always and happy about this hospital facilities and staff care, attention support and attitudes. I always came to this hospital in every health problem in my family. I wish to be a best hospital in SriLanka within this year.

There's plenty of room for improvement: from their IT infrastructure to proper coordination among the staff (and more). However, for those of us in Wattala, this is perhaps the most convenient hospital to visit (if the matter is urgent). Moreover, another thing I've noticed most of the time I visited is that: most of the medicines the doctors prescribe aren't actually available in the hospital's pharmacy - which means you'd need to get some medicines from another pharmacy - which is pretty inconvenient.

Health staff and customer service is good. Friendly and attentive nurses and other health staff members. Foods are average, but given same food for both patient and the support person. Rooms are good with all the facilities and spacious but cleaning is not very good, Clean the rooms only once a day. And sometimes they come in the next day's morning to collect last day's dinner dishes. Last time I was with my mother for her illness, and we were given a single room after 5 hours later when we were told that we will have one. And a health staff member were too sasarcastic about our request for a single room as we were in a shared room. Laughed us saying why we can't get a luxury room not just a single room! It's our choice to select either shared or single room, and they don't have to selet is for us. Other things like pharmacy, front desk and billing sections are acceptable.

As they have mentioned on their website, The hospital is trying to keep their world class standard. From the Doctors to minor cleaning staff is trying their level best to maintain those highly level standards. They really provide the high-quality service and patient care. My son was admitted in the middle of the night since then they took good care of him. Foods were very healthy and delicious. Yes, Hemas Hospital is always BY OUR SIDE. THAT'S TRUE....

Superb service and excellent customer service from hospital staff except the freaking guy in your chariot restaurant. He wont allow to take food given from your hospital for a patient visited for a full body checkup. Better management take a decision on such thing because it was not outside food. Cashier in that restaurant don't know how to talk to customers. Other than that everything was superb. Security persons in the car park also very supportive and doing their best even in hot day.

Admitted to LSCS (Cesarean Section) delivery under Dr. Sunil Fernando to the Nelum ward. What to say. It was exceptional support from the ward and the theatre staff from the delivery to the discharge. They were always so helpful, attention to the patient and especially the newborn child in a setting where the new experience is a bit overwhelming to the new parents, they all get together and help us. Establishement of breastfeeding, bathing of the kid, and mobilisation of a post surgical patient, they seemed to know how to handle each and every aspect. The room was so spacious. The only issue was not having a separate bed for the bystander, but compared to the great service they provided, that's totally negligible. I'd highly recommend this hospital. You did a great job. Keep it up 👍👍

While overall satisfied with the service, there is potential for improvement in customer service, especially for international residents like myself. Enhanced training in English communication for staff members would greatly enhance the overall experience.
