Crow Island Beach Park is a family-friendly recreational beach park situated in Colombo 15. The park was opened to the public on April 2016 and borders the mouth of the Kelani River. The parks boasts of mangroves, marshes and coastal vegetation. It is a great place to relax, have a walk and enjoy with many restaurants, walking tracks and cycling tracks. Although the Crow Island Beach Park is open all day long it is ideal to visit it between 06:00 am and 05:00 pm. Visitors spend an average of 1 hour at the beach park although some stay on to enjoy the time in the park much longer than that. Apart from the features of a regular beach park, Crow Island Beach Park also has a variety of other features such as a playground, children’s play area, shops and restaurants selling toys, snacks, beverages, food, etc., a timber deck over the sea, mangrove, fresh water lake, walking tracks, bicycle tracks, etc. Visitors can also get a glimpse of the Colombo Harbour from this location.

To be frank, I won't list this as an amazing or must-visit beach park, but it is a nice place to get relaxed and have a walk. The park spread over a large area. You will find many things there, such as, play ground, children's play area, number of shops and restaurants (toys, snacks, beverages, food, etc.), timber deck over sea, mangrove, fresh water lake, walking tracks, bicycle tracks, etc. Another interesting thing is, Colombo harbour can be seen from their partially. Ships can be clearly seen coming in and going out. If you are nearby, this is a good place to spend an evening. Parking spaces are available more than enough here

We went there for a beach clean up project. There were so many trash on the beach. Not good for swim there. Totally trash the beach. Don't pollute the beach again. It's our right to protect them. However the park next to the beach is good for going to be relax and there's a group to play also.

One of the worst beaches in Colombo. I would in fact not call this as a beach. Full of garbages, waste and what not. The water is also very dirty and brown colored. There is a small children park nearby where you may relax. I am very much surprised that people have given 5 ratings to this location and called this a very good spot to spend time. I must say they need to understand what a beach means and how it looks.

The worst Beach ever! Its a part of the island where garbage is dumped and the sea water is black in color! I just cant believe my eyes people take their kids to bath in the beach around just 50 feet away from the garbage dumping area.!!! Nice calm and quiet place to visit with 6 and friends. There are enough chairs to be seated. You can have a chat with your friends while feeling the breeze of the sea. If you bring a football you can play. There is a jogging track to do your jogging. Also, a separate cycle lane is available. There are some stalls with different food. But not up to standard.
