Visiting from GA and read the good reviews, so we stopped by. The food was delicious! Caribbean Jerk Chicken, Stir Fry Jerk Chicken, Oxtails, Rib Tips, Jerk Wings, and Cabbage. Customer Service was GREAT! Ms. Jackie kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. We will be back when we're back in Louisville.

Steak had nice flavor shrimp was very good with that oh yea sauce! Very delicious a lil pricey but worth it..

Dinner was wonderful! We shared the Jerk Wings, Steak and shrimp and extra wings and took food home for leftovers. Very nice and polite people. Will definitely be back. Thank you for taking us back to the Caribbean with this experience!

Ms. Jackie was running the front and was able to take our flavor profile and match it to their menu. Very polite and knowledgeable. Ended up with jerk wings and the hibachi style skinless chicken meal. That fed my wife and I for lunch and dinner! Tons of food. Now the best part, the flavor in this food is second to none! Have had Caribbean food in DC area and NY that is no where near the flavor coming out of this kitchen. Will def be back to try a couple other dishes.

The food was great. The staff was friendly and helpful.I like spicy food but the spaghetti was super spicy, it made my nose run. Everything tasted amazing. It did not disappoint. I had the jerk chicken spaghetti and the shrimp and jerk wings combos. The portions were huge. I had enough food for me and my bf for at least two meals.

This food was amazing we came at the last minute and they where still able to squeeze us in and give aid in amazing meal and time worth our money the chef/cook ermest and miss Jacky on the cashier and server was amazing please don’t listen to the negative review this food and restaurant was amazing please stop by an get a real taste of what real Caribbean food tastes and smells like

First impression, authentic!! Very good customer service, very and helpful with ordering, place smelled amazing, can’t wait to get home and try EVERYTHING!! Edited to add, they have huge portions I ordered 3 combos: jerk wings, curry wings and rib tips, the Rasta pasta, a side of cabbage, and an entire bottle of the sauce!! Food was AMAZING! Chicken wings cooked to perfection! Rasta pasta is a must! Can’t wait to go back and try more!

I ordered the jerk chicken, rib tips/shrimp, and rib tips dinner. Spicy, great tasting food. I have have to try more options on the menu. Thanks for the Caribbean experience, we’ll be back. I returned a week later. People this is a must eat place to eat in Louisville, customer service is always good, I’ll be back!

Was Greeted immediately after walking in! Had the Wed special she called Rasta Pasta and when I say this was good I mean it! Chicken shrimp and sausage loaded to the top very good flavor and a good spice to it. Will definitely return and glad decided to check this place out

Great food and friendly service. When he found out it was my first time offered me a sample of the jerk chicken and rice. It was so good that's what I ordered. Just happened to see it on the map as I was out running errands and I'm so glad I did. The chicken falls off the bones and the sauce they put on the rice is super delicious. Just the right amount of spice for me; a good kick and a little burn without making me sweat.

My boyfriend tried the jerk chicken tacos on Friday, and after hearing about how amazing they are for no less than 23.5 hours straight… we went back for dinner on Saturday. The tacos are worth raving about! One serving is a box of 3 HUGE tacos! I tried the jerk chicken spaghetti which they were out of but the chef was great and made it happen for me and my unprepared taste buds. Jackie, the hilarious front of house, makes you feel welcome in a laid back dine in experience , gives great insight on the menu, and will keep you cackling during your meal. If your taste buds can only handle basic spice level don’t let it deter you, the chef was more than happy to tone down the spaghetti for me and it was fantastic! The spaghetti serving is also enough for a small army or a couple of teenage boys .Hate to say the boyfriend was right, but it’s very likely we will be back for round three of tacos within the week! Highly recommend!

Me and my wife wanted to try this place out, and was finally able to tonight. We got the jerk spaghetti, the chicken hibachi rice, plantains, and the ox tail dinner. Everything was amazing and Ms.Jacki gives you an experience you want forget. Definitely need to give them a try!

The smell when you walk in is amazing! They play good music while you wait for your food, and the customer service is welcoming ❤️ The food was also very good and would highly recommend the Veggie Hibachi!

I visited this restaurant several weeks ago with a friend for lunch. I was indecisive and asked the person taking our order a lot of questions. While trying to decide what I wanted to order she brought out some wings and they were fall of the bone tender and absolutely delicious. I am not a bone-in wing person but these were so good I have been converted. My friend and I both ordered the jerk wing dinner but before I ordered mine I asked about the rice as I tried to decide which side items to get. The person taking our order brought out a sample and it was sooooo good. There was a sauce over the rice that was literally finger licking good, so much so that I asked if they sell the sauce( which they do). So I got the rice as one of my sides and it came with a medley of mixed vegetables. Everything was flavorful and seasoned really well. The food was just so good I wanted to savor every bite. The portion size was good and I had leftovers for later and it tasted just as good later. My friend who ordered the same thing enjoyed her food as well. The restaurant is modest and small not fussy or prententious, comfortable with very simple decor. The person taking our order was very helpful and we definitely appreciated the opportunity to sample some items. That was definitely a perk! I will definitely go back. I want to try the jerk shrimp. I have never had oxtails but would be willing to try them at this restaurant since everything I had was so good!!!

Absolutely amazing food prepared with love! Soon as you walk in you can smell the aroma. I highly recommend open Caribbean. The food is authentic, and beautifully prepared. Get you some!

Love Open Caribbean Kitchen!! The staff is always friendly and offering new dishes to try. Every dish I’ve had has been full of authentic Caribbean flavor!

The food was not an authentic Jamaican taste at all the oxtails taste like they are mixed with other beef meat. And the oxtail was made like a Louisiana oxtail boil/ like a seafood boil except with oxtails. They don’t serve your normal Jamaican fixings. It’s not Jamaican!!! And the plate was was way too expensive $35 dollars for a plate of oxtail! The flavor was spicy like curry as well not browning!

Food was great!! The smells when you walk in makes your stomach talk. Ate so fast I forgot to take a pic of my delicious meal. Ox tails on point! Jerk wings got that kick you looking for. Definitely coming back!

Food was amazing!!! I had the Chicken hibachi and my bf got the jerk chicken wings. Both were flavorful and definitely spicy (I love spicy) lol but very delicious nonetheless. Will definitely be coming back for more.

It never disappoints. The food is always consistently delicious. Don't worry about the price. I can eat 2-3 times out of my plate, no matter what I order. I would suggest ordering ahead because there can be a little wait sometimes, but it's worth it.
