Saw this place on maps so I dropped in. Definitely not a dine-in restaurant although you can eat here. It's more of an order for pick-up place. I had the shrimp lo-mein and dumplings. Both were very good. Worth the stop if you want Chinese for lunch or dinner.

When I try a new a Chinese restaurant, I judge them on how good they make crab Rangoon, steamed dumplings and chicken-on;a-sick. My expectations weren't high since so many have failed the appetizer test, but Oriental Star far far exceeded my expectations! This is my new favorite restaurant! The chicken was tasty and not hard (still juicy), the dumplings were firm and not soggy and the Rangoon were fat and tasty, I'd give it 6 stars if I could . . .

Worst Chinese food I have ever had im from Chicago on a work trip this is the worst crab Rangoon’s we’re good but the food just terrible just awful

Food is poor quality and not made fresh. I tried to order something with only white meat chicken and the lady taking my order told me that they can’t do any substitutions or modifications because the food is already cooked. Yes, already cooked. And no this is not a buffet. They just heat up pre-made food and serve it to you. And The egg rolls are just cabbage inside, no meat.

I CANNOT recommend the pork egg foo young lunch special. It is loaded with salt 🧂, and my blood pressure sky rocketed to an immediate headache and a salty taste in my mouth. I stopped here to place a to-go order in between appointments. This is my first and last visit. I went online to look for ways to decrease salt intake. I immediately went to Walmart for a banana and apple cider vinegar 😐 to go with my water.

I've been eating here for over 15 years. The owners are kind and work hard to make sure you are getting well-cooked food.

So, I wanted some Chinese food and so i googled location and I found this hole in the wall place. Taste is on point. Quick because I'm on my lunch break. For a small restaurant they met my expectations. So glad they are close to my house. Today Oriental Star gets my ⭐

The crab Rangoon is the best BUT the chinese dishes I have tried here are very flavorless and bland. Sad.

Got General Tso's Chicken. It was just ok. Not much spice to it at all. Also wanted Crab Randgoon, but when they said it does not come with Sweet and Sour sauce, I canceled that. I do not understand any Chinese restaurant not serving Sweet and Sour with the Crab Rangoon. Definitely won't come back.

The best Chinese you can get in Town period. Big portions Rangoon is delicious egg rolls are the best and they are nice and polite. Highly recommended

The only good thing i can say is that the food was hot. Other than that, the worst orinetal food i have ever tasted! The rice tasted like it was cooked in bleach water, chicken was hard chewy and brown. The egg roll could have been used as a club it was so hard. If i wasn't on my lunch break to go get the food, i would have taken the food back and asked them if they would eat it. And im sure they wouldn't. I don't know where all these good reviews are coming from. Maybe my standards are too high.

We enjoyed the food very much. The orange beef had orange peel slices in it. The steamed rice and egg rolls were tasty. I recommend this place for good oriental food and good helpings.

Hands down the best Crab Rangoon in the Ville. The Bourbon Chicken and Orange Chicken are also top notch. Fair prices for the quantity and QUALITY of food. 10 out of 5 stars.

Last minute order, food prepared very quick and exactly to my liking. 3* on atmosphere since it was take away. Will def be back to try more

Absolutely worst food I’ve ever had! I was an Executive Chef for 42 years and never like to harm restaurant owners but this is just bad food made with cheap ingredients. Don’t waste your money!

Discovered this little gem while in town for some training classes. Tasty food at great prices! Hot and sour soup is my fav and it didn’t disappoint 😋Fast friendly service! This restaurant is take out or delivery at the moment.

Order online a general tso’s and end up with a COLD chicken Lo mein😡😡 call the place and told me i was wrong that they gave me general tso’s

This is my favorite chinese restaurant in Louisville. They have the best lo mein, crab ragoon, and Gen Tau Chicken.

Went for carry out on Christmas Eve. At the time I was the only customer. How sad! The Asian food was wonderful! Everything was piping hot when we brought it home. The egg roll was crisp and perfectly fried. The Hot and Sour soup was both. The Egg Foo Young was filled with fresh vegetables, likewise the Fried Rice. We will return and this restaurant deserves your patronage. You will not be disappointed.
