Been coming here for years ! Best Gyro in town ! Got a gyro meal with a pizza puff , on point ! Everything was perfect. Great local spot

I don't get here as often as I should but I definitely haven't forgotten about this place. Even though it's only a 12-13 minute drive south of my house in Beach Park, I'm a foodie so I eat all over the Chicago area. To me it's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall and it's been a Waukegan favorite for quite a few years now. Its busiest times are usually during the week during lunch hours. IMHO Waukegan Gyros is the best gyros for the buck. Venue is an old building but it seems to be kept relatively clean and always good service. Food is decent quality but it's the gyros that keep me coming back. This is a rare find to where the pita is toasted on the grill as well so when you're gyros are ready, everything is served hot & fresh. They also have burgers, hot dogs, pizza puffs, tacos and other familiar eats. There are tables for dining in but this place is most notable as a carry out. If you love gyros and have never been here, I recommend Waukegan Gyros!👍

While everybody else are raising their prices astronomically for s*** food this guy keeps his awesome food at a decent price for everyone can eat. Please support.. I'd hate to See this place go out of business

Horrible The guy that took my order was playing games. I asked for extra tzatziki sauce and He did not understand what I was asking for? He asked me to order more food? Dude I order 2 gyros combos if I wanted anything else I would have asked. I don’t know if He was playing or not but don’t play with me. Got home opened the box and the fries were old and dark like them had been fried 2/3 times and the gyros meat was chopped the hell up like it’s imitation meat. I’m making this review because paying for something I’m not satisfied with is my biggest pet peeve. I had not been in this place for over 10/15 years. I guess I’ll stick to Poppy’s and George’s gyro. #reallynothappy

Small shop but pretty good food. Large variety of meals and combos but menu board can be updated and cleaned up so they don't have to hang up sheets of paper with specials all over the place. I won't put up a pic because I'm not blasting the just some constructive criticism. The food is great! 👍

Food is always fresh, and fries are made with each order. Good selection of food.

It's unfortunate they display No Returns, No Refunds, No Exceptions. But when I make it to my destination without the complete order. Why call and talk about the 2 cups of cheese I ordered. But a least I have ketchup. Feels like I just got robbed.

Absolutely perfect gyros! Brought me back to my childhood eating gyros as a boy at my favorite gyros stand. Delicious tzatziki sauce exceptional gyro meat and they toasted the pita! Top notch food!

The cashier was nice and welcoming. They sell 2 Jr. Gyros for only 5.00 perfect for the kids. The Chicago style hotdog is only 2.65 mostly sell it already for 4.00. Food is fresh and tastes good. Recommend for a fast lunch, and its the perfect place to dine in. Inside dine in is also available! and wheelchair accessible.

This is a great little place on Golf road in Waukegan. The food is good and the prices are much better than most similar restaurants like this in town. I mean I can still get lunch for less than $10 sometimes Even cheaper. And you get large portions. For example you can get an Italian beef a large portion of french fries and a drink for under $8. That's not too bad. Check around, you'll see the prices at Waukegan Gyros are pretty reasonable. And the variety and food quality is quite good also.

I've been coming hear for years and never a disappointment. Recently I had a strong want for a juicy cheeseburger and cheese fries.... this visit however... the "juicy" part was missing. The cheeseburger was extremely well done... I should have stressed "juicy, medium rare". I will NEXT time.

Good value. Had a gyro combo and my partner had a veggie combo. Food came Out quickly and was mostly hot, but the fries were a disappointment. This is a locally owned shop and we were happy to buy lunch there.

Very good food and great priced compared to everyone else in the area. Fast and good service compared to Shirls who has a crew of 7 ppl yet you still wait over 20 minutes for your order. Definitely a must go to fast food.

Gyros are little smaller compered with gyros in other towns, but they are yummy and fresh!!! I really liked them. The service was really good too! I recommend this place 👍😁
