The Google menu prices aren’t accurate. Showed up expecting to pay about $45 after taxes. Ended up paying $60 for 2 pizzas because “they’ve been meaning to update the prices” is what the lady told me. What a joke. For a $30 “deep dish” pizza, the toppings were super sparse, the crust was flat and tough, the “deep dish” was as deep as a Jacks frozen pizza (see picture), yet they have a hidden upcharge for $5 for ordering “deep dish”. The owners are making a hell of a profit with their scam - I hope the extra money you made off of me is worth the one star and an angry customer. Dominos “2 for $14” pizzas deal is the better choice.

Best pizza in town!! Staff is always friendly and food is always yummy, yummy, yummy. GREAT UPDATES to the bar area. Never disappoints.

Great service. Wonderful atmosphere. Angelo's makes you feel at home. Great starts to what will be a journey of great flavours. Best pizza hands down in Wausau!

We have been going to Angelo’s for 15 years, we have always thought this was a real Italian Pizza. The only thing that is the same is the sauce. The sausage tasted like ground pork with no seasoning, not like real Italian sausage like we loved, the cheese wasn’t like it used to be, really rubbery. The crust tasted really old or they changed that also., please go back to the original recipe or will not be returning! Think about it, what made Angelo’s great was your Grandpa’s recipe, don’t change a great thing , please

This place was by far the best!! Not no more. I've definitely had better pizzas at a local bar. So 😔 not a homemade crust or the lack of sauce. I'm posting this only in concern that this is not close to the staple pizzas you provided to all of us in the past. Please change your ways back to what you where known of! I'm sooo sorry to say that you will never succeed with what you offer.. Really miss the best pizza.

Meh. Pizza was mediocre at best. Both the thin crust and the deep dish pizza were underdone, and in my opinion the actual crust of the deep dish pizza was inedible. The customizability was nice, however at the $15-20/pizza price point there are better places to visit. I appreciated the local family restaurant feel, however the service was lacking. I understand it is difficult to find enough staff, but there were not very many people dining in when we came and the bartender/waitress seemed like she was rushing around and occasionally seemed annoyed to be serving us. She was very friendly most of the time, and brought us our food accurately and timely. On a more positive note, the "pizza fries" cheese sticks were delicious. I would consider ordering takeout or delivery from this establishment in the future.

My order was a takeout. The pizza was great. The garlic cheese bread was a joke. I've never seen garlic cheese bread so small. I didn't look at my receipt but I'd be willing to bet the price was not small...?

Only 2 staff members to run the entire place for table service and take out. The wait time was ridiculous. When the pizza finally came, the top looked great but crust underneath was nearly raw it was so limp and doughy. Pizza was sent back, came back 10 minutes later, and top was crispy and brown, crust underneath still raw. They need to figure out their oven temps.

I'm so glad to have you back in business! We ate dinner at the restaurant on 4/17/23, and everything was delicious, and the service was awesome. The pizza here reminds me of my Chicago pizzas I ate as a kid! The best pizza in Wausau and the surrounding area! Keep up the great job!

Tonight I ordered pick up. When I arrived home I realized there was an error made in my order. I called Angelo's and they went above and beyond to make things right including delivery of a new pizza with the correct toppings to an address outside of their normal delivery area. Mistakes happen and what really matters is how you recover and Angelo's went above and beyond tonight. Thank you for excellent service!

Ordered a couple pizzas to go. First time having pizza from here. It was phenomenal. Will definitely order again if I have a craving for home ade pizza 🍕

Most expensive pizza in town. $26 for a small 10 deep dish 1 topping. The deep dish had a super thin crust. Not deep dish worthy. Not returning.

Extremely excited they have opened the is r doors again . Still have the same great pizza and other food/drinks. Eat in or take out!! Staple pizza location in Wausau to absolutely go have a few slices and a side of garlic cheese bread.

The pizza was amazing. I highly recommend the all meat pizza. We got a meduim and if was enough pizza for 2 people

The pizza being decent was the only redeeming quality. I ordered carry out, I went to pick it up and approached the front desk, I stood in front of the front desk for 3-5 min with an employee standing directly in front of me. I said hello multiple times, I even picked something up off the ground for them that I had saw had fallen. Completely ignored my existence. So I sat down on the bench next to the front desk assuming they were busy and would get to me when they had time (I was now one of two people on the benches waiting). The employee then brought out some pizza boxes and spoke to the other person waiting. It wasn't for them, so I said my name again and asked if it was for me? Completely ignored again... At this point I don't know what to do, I don't want to make a scene. Then another person enters the building and goes up to the front desk, for some reason the employee speaks to this person. At this point I have been waiting for at least 15 minutes, so I interject because this person being helped before me when I have been waiting as patiently as possible considering I am being ignored whenever I speak. Then the employee gets me my pizza, which I can only assume has been ready this whole time because I arrived when they indicated it would be ready. In all honesty I got back in the car and cried, I don't think I have been treated like that before. I will never be going back to Angelo's.

Our last visit there before that close for good. This place has been a Wausau staple for decades (established in 1968). I remember coming here as a teenager and all the birthday party's we had there. The pizza was always one of the best in town. I also loved their calzones. Thr staff were always so friendly. We are going to miss this iconic restaurant. Salute!

I don't want to say I'm biased, but in 1995 I move from Arizona to Wisconsin and this is my first summer job. And I fell in love with the pizza!!!! It's just amazing then as it is now!! I LOVE ANGELO'S!!! BEST PIZZA IN WAUSAU!!!!

Favorite place for over 40 years for me. Sadly they're closing their restaurant and only thing going to sell frozen pizzas through local grocery stores. I'm sure though it is still going to be worth the purchase

I get to Wausau 2-3 times a month for work....and I make sure that on each occasion..I treat myself to at least one dinner at Angelo's. Great pizza.....the way pizza was meant to be made. Keep up the great tradition.

Grabbed pizzas and cheesy garlic bread while staying at the Rib Mountain Inn. Very good! Delivered the pizzas in almost 30 minutes less than they quoted me on a Friday night! Tons of toppings, perfectly crispy crust (not too thin, not too thick) and super tasty! A great value :)

This is an iconic pizza place in Wausau, WI. The main dining area is closed for dine in service due to COVID-19, but when it's open, it's family fun-time. They have arcade games and claw machines to entertain the kids while you schmooze in peace. The bar is open for drinks and dine in service. We went twice during our 5-day stay in Wausau, but some in the family would've been ecstatic to go every night. The pizza is served with a thin crust cut into small rectangles (not quite cracker thin, but close to it). Sauce is mildly sweet, and the cheese to meat ratio is perfect. But the star of the pizza is the seasoning they put on top as a finisher. Really delicious 😋 The garlic bread with cheese recipe had changed over the decades, and we liked the older recipe more. HOWEVER, if you never had it as it was before, you'd probably enjoy it now. Lots of cheese melted onto what looked like a French bread style loaf. Not heavy on the garlic, but still flavorful. The bartender was attentive and kind. She seemed to really know and enjoy her customers. Angelos is a great locals spot. Glad they have stayed in business all these decades.
