Overall a surprising visit. Was passing through and decided to stop to break up a long drive. Stopped for a pint and nearly didn’t have any food, glad I did. Great pub food (burger), good value and nice venue. Will definitely stop again.

The white horse has had a great facelift in recent times making it a really nice place to go for a good meal and a beer. The food is at the good end of pub fayre and the hand pull beer has been excellent of late both in choice and the way it is served. The staff are great and the landlord particularly attentive. It can get busy at times and the focus is now on food; there has been a slight loss of its pub character as a result but the decor is very pleasant and the ambiance is great. Beer is monstrously expensive however and wine more so - expect at least £5.50-£7.00 a pint.

Fantastic pub food after a long time. Selection of beers could've been a little better though. Accommodated 8 together on a single table without notice. Waiter asked of everything was okay around times, that's how much they care. Would love to go again. A bit pricey, but portions were big. £80 for a family of 4 with a main dish each, 2 starters and 2 Pepsi.

Very clean and tidy, we had a lovely dinner (best pie I’ve had in years) , we also enjoyed a very nice Prosecco near the fireplace that warmed us up in a such a cold afternoon. Needless to say we will be back soon!

Nestled within a cozy atmosphere, this pub offers a delightful blend of comfort, tasteful decor, and spotless cleanliness. The food served was delicious, with a wide range of options for various tastes that won't break the bank. It's the perfect spot for a satisfying meal in a welcoming setting.

I recently had my 50th birthday party at The White Horse which was an absolute success. The staff were amazing and so attentive to all the guests throughout the whole evening. The food from the kitchen was delicious (again served by the staff) - I should have ordered more! Further to the renovations last year, the pub looks so smart and was the perfect venue for my party. Thank you to Jackie, Nico and her team for a truly memorable night.

UPDATE ALL REMAINS THE SAME, HOWEVER...It is in very poor taste when a 'customer' reviews the pub from the outlook of a staff feud...TOTALLY IRRELEVANT, IF said customer wishes to disrespect staff take it to HR not Google where people look for reviews linked to food quality etc. Unprofessional. The WH is a very good pub with fab staff and food. Everything is good. As always. Fab staff, food and good atmosphere

Following a funeral, there was a wake here. The food was very good with numerous selections and plenty to eat. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Whilst the ordered was very good two other dishes (cauliflower and chilli chicken) were definitely not. Despite drawing this to our servers attention, no apology was forthcoming and absolutely no attempt to remove even one item from the bill was made. I had even left almost all of the chicken as it was practically inedible and had to remove all the batter from the cauliflower as it was like wallpaper paste. Had this been handled differently I would not have left this review

Been here a few times and always 5 star with very good food but last Saturday very disappointing service and food. Portions have become very small and calamari was rubbery and overcooked. We ordered at the bar and immediately asked to upgrade one item we’d ordered whilst still at the tip and were told no it’s impossible. It’s put us off going back.

We had a wonderful party for my wife's 50th here. Staff were excellent and the space is great for a big party. Would highly recommend. Food is great on normal days as well and a nice atmosphere in a great location

I found a restaurant serving proper sausage and mash with fancy mash and gravy. It's proving very hard. I made a special visit. The food was delicious. Truly excellent quality sausages. Excellent mash, gravy was really nice and the fried onions were a surprise as so good. Desert was a brownie. It was deep chocolate and excellent ice cream. Service was polite and efficient In really liked the mix of customers in the evening, mostly locals. Haslemere is very nice hamlet. Highly recommended pub. Parking at rear of pub. Dog friendly. And fantastic Indian restaurant next door.

Lovely pub but avoid it on Sunday! We had to wait 45’ to start eating something… we had to remind them to bring the drinks … nut roast not recommended… chicken roast tasteless… burgers were nice. Management apologised for the delay but It was disappointing.

We thought this was a really nice pub. The ambience was between a local village pub and a bistro. The staff were friendly, down to earth (i.e. not pretentious !) and hard-working. And probably the most important thing the food was delicious and good value for money.

Food was fantastic, staff really attentive and lovely, could not have been better. First time having Christmas dinner out and you have set an incredibly high bar. Thank you so much.
