Only stayed one night but Steve, Chris and the team were great and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was superb...well done. Everything was clean and the pub full of character.

Staying locally and this is the best pub in the area by miles. 6 real ales on hand pump, some local and a few further afield. Lovely ambience with loads of old brewery memorabilia and pump clips. I recommend the beef and mushroom pie with proper shortcrust pastry. A real gem of a pub that you don’t see much of these days.

Lovely food and not too expensive. Definitely value for money. Good choice of beers. Highly recommended after my first ever visit on 23/09/23

The entrance door didn't close properly which made me nervous all night. Out room backed onto all of the on the roof fans so had white noise all night. Breakfast wasn't served until 8.30am. I had to get to work and my daughter was swimming all day and had to leave without any breakfast.

Lovely family pub. Had a great 3 night stay to see some nearby family. The room was comfortable, clean and homely. Staff were all brilliant, the food was great and brilliant selection of beer & wine. Will be back!

We had very good food: salad with haloumi cheese, parsnip soup ( amazing) and sauteed shrimp. Cold beer and great waitress. Thank you all for the good time

Called in for a pint following walk on old railway line. Excellent choice of ales. Friendly staff. Beware of man in duck suit selling raffle tickets. Lovely old fashioned pub with wonky floors.

Recently attended the British Motor Show for 5 days as a trader, staying at a another local pub in Bramley, which did not do food in the evening. We tried the Jolly Farmer and ate hear for three of our four nights. It would have been four, but they could not fit us in on one night! Fabulous food, good beers and excellent service. A lovely country pub which we would highly recommend.

Great drinking free house for beer from all regions of the UK. Staff are fantastic. Food is great. Fires in the winter. No signal when there (perfect!)

Sausage baguette with mustard mayo + potatoe and leek soup was really tasty, all for less than a tenner which was great value. Huge choice of beers too and friendly quick service - will definitely be back!

Had a quick overnight stay here. Staff super friendly, helpful and professional on arrival. Room was very clean, comfortable bed and well appointed overall. Wi-Fi worked well too. Didn't get a chance to sample drinks/food from the pub but the bar/restaurant area looked clean, well laid out and a nice atmosphere when I went through.

We had a good bowl of soup here. The inside is interesting and quirky. The outside is warm, sunny and functional. There is off street parking.

What a jolly pub! The work that has gone into this place, the love and the look, all say what a great atmosphere. We visited when there was a carvery. Superb. Everyone felt a part of the team and the food and choice of ales was amazing. I'd give it more than 5 stars. Go see for yourself. By the way, there is a small car park to the rear of the pub, but there's plenty of parking options nearby as well.

Stopped here for 2 nights and ate there too. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Room was fine and clean. No grumbles there. Breakfast was storming. Great quality and lots of it. Evening meals are well executed and tasty. Menu is a bit limited but it is homemade. This place is worth travelling to. Bags of character too.

We've just had the most fabulous meal. The burgers were excellent, especially the Mexican one. Ham, (duck) egg and chips was the best pub version I think we've ever had. Lovely welcoming staff and a history packed environment. Great quality food, good portion size and good value. Will definitely go back for more of the menu.

A lovely little pub with a cracking Burger menu!! These guys do good beers, they always have something interesting and new to try on their taps, we regularly come here on Bike rides around the Surrey hills. It’s a good last stop for us before heading back to Godalming. I have had their burgers here twice before I did these reviews and the first time was unbelievable, the second wasn’t as good, but you can only really taste the amazingness once and then your always comparing, and when I say amazing, this was one of the best burgers I’d ever had, I got it with Mushroom sauce and the meat was cooked to perfection. Defo looking forward to eating here again.

Limited menu as no chef but I just need to say how absolutely delicious my ham, double egg and chips was. The ham was sooo tender and juicy ! You just can’t beat a meal here 🙂 and a mention for Archie too - a personable, keen young man who is so incredibly polite ! Thank you everyone!

First time visit with family to celebrate my Mum's 60th birthday and it did not disappoint! Tasty carvery with a great choice of meats and sides, an amazing welcoming atmosphere and all of the staff were so friendly and really helpful as soon as we walked through the door! Everyone went above and beyond to make my Mum feel special! Definitely recommend and would go again no hesitation! Only thing I would say for anyone planning to visit is the car park behind the pub fills up fast, especially on a Sunday, so be prepared to park elsewhere if needed! Thanks again Jolly Farmer! 😊

Had the BEST Sunday roast today ! Often let down by soggy frozen veg and watery gravy but this was not that ! Meat was locally sourced and cooked to perfection, fresh and delicious veggies , gravy superb !!! I can’t recommend it enough . From the chef at the carving table to the lady that served us they where very friendly and attentive , would seriously consider driving from Bristol to come again next Sunday ! Well done guys you’ve got something really special !
