My
partner
and
I
recently
stayed
in
one
of
the
cottages,
which
was
pretty
nice.
I
wouldn't
expect
any
less
given
the
room
rates.
We
kept
the
air
handler
running
constantly
to
drone
out
the
nearby
highway,
which
you
can
see
is
quite
close
on
any
map.
If
I
had
to
guess,
the
noise
probably
isn't
as
bothersome
in
the
summer,
when
the
trees'
branches
are
adorned
by
heavy
with
green,
sound-dampening
leaves.
The
cottage
had
an
exceptionally
soft
king
sized
bed
and
2
firm
queen
beds.
Sounds
great
if
you
want
to
bring
family
along,
assuming
everyone
is
10
or
over
(smaller
kids
are
forbidden)
and
that
you
pay
extra
each
person
beyond
2
people.
According
to
the
website,
a
lot
extra,
considering
the
pricey
base
rate.
The
reason
for
my
mediocre
review
is
the
food,
which
I
wouldn't
recommend,
and
the
staff,
who
don't
listen
well
and
aren't
accommodating
at
all.
The
dinner
menu
is
to
be
avoided.
Want
to
ask
for
changes
in
the
courses?
Only
very
minor
changes
are
accepted.
There
was
a
crab
cake
course,
which
I
couldn't
eat
due
to
a
shellfish
sensitivity.
Their
solution?
For
the
same
price,
they
would
give
me
the
paltry
veggies
that
the
crab
cake
would
usually
sit
on,
sans
crab
cake.
What
a
great
solution
-
for
them.
In
advance
of
our
stay,
I
asked
for
a
certain
dinner
time,
which
they
said
was
available
but
later
I
found
out
that
they
never
booked
the
time
we
agreed
on.
Oops?
A
week
in
advance,
I
also
asked
for
a
birthday
cake
with
chocolate
frosting
and
yellow
cake,
which
deviated
from
their
standard
options
of
white
frosting
on
yellow
cake
or
chocolate
on
chocolate.
They
agreed
to
make
the
cake
the
way
I
requested,
but
then
failed
to
do
so.
A
tiny
$40
cake
that
wasn't
right
was
a
minor
detail
but
seemed
ridiculous.
