Our visit was OK today. I had the macaroni bites to start, which were good.. my mum had the soup of the day, was told it was carrot and coriander, but it turned out to be tomato and it was cold/luke warm, but she was hungry, so didn't want to make a fuss. Our mains were OK, I had the mixed grill and was asked how I wanted my steak, to which I asked for rare.. it wasn't rare, but it seemed to be getting busier, so again didnt say anything. We were asked if we wanted sauces with our main meals, which we did.. but this got forgotten, so we had to go and remind them. There didn't seem to be many staff working. Have had better visits here.. I can't say we will be rushing back

Our visit was lovely , we had to stop for a quick lunch , the place was very nice, food quality was good. My husband was having an online meeting and the girls were accommodating , found a nice quiet table , nice with the little one gave some activity sheets to entertain. We tried the new tramissu flat white was lovely tasted like Irish latte in a sense . The pri pri chicken was lovely , juicy, good for money. Kids meal is super saver , 3 courses for £5 ! The brownie in kids menu tasted superb and they kindly put in a takeaway case . Will definitely try again 😊

A few people have mentioned to me that this place is a good place to take the kids. Staff were quick to seat us and very welcoming. Kids eat three courses for £5 and to be fair the portion seizes on the mains and puddings were pretty good. The place was clean and tidy and although it started to get busy in this bank holiday in school holidays the staff were on it and quick to serve and clean tables. Only one thing was that the lock on the males toilet door didn’t work l, but the toilets themselves were well maintained. Overall, for a family of 5 with drinks, the price was £50 so pretty spot on. A good place to take the kids for a quick bite

Atmosphere OK. Service a bit slow. Burger returned as was still pink inside. Rest of food OK. Staff not happy with me raising this and chef asked staff to tell me it was cooked. Fish and chips good sized portion and triple pies very nice

We had a lovely meal as always, the service is always very good and the waiter that never writes anything down is awesome! Really enjoyed the Trio of Pies on this visit.

We booked a table for 7 (4 adults, 3 children) online the day before our Sunday breakfast. Unlimited breakfast was £9.99 and "kids eat free", which we found to be the best offer compared to other similar restaurants. We were swiftly seated but we wanted a window table so we could see our car in the car park as the dog was in the car with the windows open. We asked and the staff were very accommodating in moving us to a suitable spot and even offered water for our dog. The continental breakfast was really well stocked with cereal, fruit, jams, bread, juice and pastries etc. There was even plenty of mugs for the hot drinks (seems odd but other restaurants we've experienced have a lack of mugs). The staff were very quick at taking our cooked breakfast order and when this arrived it was warm and very tasty. We all cleared our plates including the usually fussy children. Whilst there, I witnessed the staff being very attentive, keeping the tables clear after people left and cleaning up the restaurant quickly. I also witnessed how quickly and how lovely they were to a child that had been poorly in the restaurant. Not only clearing up quickly after her but being amazing at cheering her up. I've never come across such a friendly and attentive team of staff who work so efficiently to provide a top service to customers. The restaurant and toilet facilities were lovely and clean and had a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely eat here again when visiting Eastbourne.

It was Good Friday and my wife woke up saying she fancied a full English breakfast. I had heard of the Treacle Mine doing good food but had never been. My step-daughter suggested we booked and I'm glad we did as it was very busy. There was a wait for a parking space outside and you need to validate your car once in the restaurant. You are given 3 hours and can always request longer if needed. We ended up only needing about an hour as service was so prompt. We walked in and were immediately shown our table, despite being early. Once at our table we could help ourselves to the continental selection, which was vast. Alpro soya milk was available, so I had cereal and toast. My wife had fresh fruit and my 2-year-old enjoyed some grapes. The vegan cooked breakfast includes This Isn't Bacon, sausages, beans, hash browns, mushrooms and tomatoes (which were missed from ours). All were well cooked and hot. I put my hash browns, sausages and bacon into a sourdough muffin - it was delicious! We had all of this, as well as unlimited fruit juices, tea and coffee for £9.99 each and children eat free. You just pay at the bar afterwards when you're ready. It was such good value, especially as we could have had more but we're so full that we didn't need any lunch. Things that could be improved are the car parking. I was unsure if we could park at the hotel. Also, we didn't spot any baby changing facilities - but again, this might have been missed on our part. We ended up changing our son on the floor.

Staff are very welcoming and lovely. Rosie was amazing, she managed to remember our very complicated food order and the food was delicious and served promptly. Martin was also really friendly and made the most delicious white wine spritzers. The staff here are a credit to your company, they made our holiday!

Great service with a smile despite being very busy. Varied enough menu. Scampi and chips were fine. For a chain pub I would recommend it. Clean loos!

Looked nice on the outside, however as my family were already in the place we proceeded to walk to the table that I had seen them from a distance, only to be shouted at by a woman behind the bar saying 'oi what are you doing' . A making a hand gesture for me to move back. Not really a great impression after being in the building for 30 seconds. Our waiter was a good guy we recognise him from a previous place that we had been too. Apart from that nit really a lasting impression that would make me go back. As far as the welcome I think it's dam disgusting to be spoke to like that as a paying customer and will stay with me .
