Very pleasant. Nice size car park with parking close to the entrance. I stayed here and used the restaurant but not the spa. The room was lovely and clean and welcoming. Super soft bed and lots of room in a great size room. The restaurant isn’t by any means the cheapest and I spent £65 on a 3 course meal and 2 drinks but I must say it was delicious! Everything was presented perfectly and tasted amazing!! Also the service was exceptionally polite and attentive.

Stayed here after my reception in a junior loft suite, highly recommended the spa and health club services only downside is the timings, which it stayed open a little later so we could’ve made the most of it. Excellent customer service throughout, from the reception staff to staff in restaurant as well housekeeping. Special mention to Gill for going above and beyond to make our visit extra special and being so helpful.

Check - in/out was smooth. Staff very attentive & helpful. Well stocked bar with good selection of beer, larger, spirits & cocktails. Good restaurant & breakfast menus. Rooms were large with air conditioning, fridge, iron/board, hairdryer, toiletries. Complimentary tea, coffee, water & biscuits. Location is on the outskirts of Aldridge, nothing within walking distance so a car would be needed, although there is a bus stop close by. I feel that if you're paying to stay in a quality hotel then the use of the pool/ outside garden sun terrace should be included, naturally a charge for additional treatments would be expected. I've never had to pay additionally to use a swimming pool at a hotel before. (£15 for a 2 hour bookable slot) An enjoyable stay overall.

The rooms are very comfortable and the beds are great. The food in the restaurant is pricey but very very nice so we'll worth the money in my opinion. I haven't tried the spa, but it is always full when I stay here.

Currently on a two night stay - paid £470 and put in a bedroom directly above music blaring till midnight both nights. Absolutely unacceptable and frustrating. Not what we signed up for in a country hotel on a Sunday night. The staff’s response was unhelpful and unprofessional. Exceptionally disappointed in what should have been a lovely break away. Update- on checkout Emily on reception was wonderful and professional and has promised if we return won’t be above the music. Her conduct has encouraged us to stay again in the future.

We had our wedding at the Fairlawns this week. It was perfect! From the initial enquiry, to checking out the morning after the big day, we were made to feel special. The staff are a credit to hospitality, nothing is too much trouble and they made our experience so enjoyable. The venue is amazing, the rooms are amazing too. We had so many guests compliment on the whole day but especially the food. It was delicious. Thanks for the best few days.

Amazing time had last weekend. The spa area is at an extra cost but well worth it with a variety of hot tubs , saunas salt room and steam rooms. Staff were very welcoming upon arrival upgrading the room to the penthouse and let us split our 3 hours spa time over the 2 days very accommodating. Highly recommend

When calling to ask about the spa and other facilities after booking I spoke to a really friendly gentleman on the phone and was excited for my upcoming stay. However upon arrival the 2 women on the front desk weren’t the most hospitable, I actually felt like an inconvenience when I asked if they could double check if I had a quiet room. I went down back down to reception around 15 minutes after checking in to ask about adding on a breakfast as well as finding out about the gym and other services because none of this was explained when checking in, again made to feel like an inconvenience by 2 unfriendly receptionists. Rooms are dated and the wooden floor in them makes them feel cheap, we also had frosted windows as we’re looking over a flat roof. Bed isn’t great, lumpy mattress with no anti roll. Also, no black out blind or curtains which isn’t ideal when staying in the summer. Hotel is noisy too, we were woken up around 6.30 with a lot of banging etc thin walls and ceilings/floors. Breakfast was nice but nothing special, the waitresses were lovely though. I also booked myself in for a facial, which was lovely but I really wish the room was soundproofed! Hearing people outside the room, lorries reversing outside, glasses and plates clattering doesn’t give the best ambiance. Frustratingly an all round disappointing visit.

My sister and I went there for a girly overnight stay. We booked same day after speaking to Alex over the phone who ensured we'd have a good sized bed because I was expecting at the time. When we arrived we were given the biggest and warmest welcome by Emma and she made sure we had everything we needed on our room including plates for our food as we got there a bit late we ordered Indian. Our room was the junior suite and it felt more like an apartment as it had 2 floors. It was perfect in size we had a place to sit and chat and bathroom is lovely and clean. Loved that the bath was downstairs. Very quirky. We really didn't want to leave! We then met Alex in the morning and she showed us around and gave us more info about venue spaces too! We will be back! Thank you Alex and Emma and amazing bar staff!

We’ve eaten in the restaurant and the bar a few times and the service is excellent. The food is delicious and when I was pregnant they were amazing with helping with the things I wasn’t allowed to eat. We last came in December and I hope to come back soon. We’ve also been for afternoon tea and that’s delicious too.

Loved it! I had a fabulous massage from a lady called Fran. She was friendly yet professional. And she was very good at her job. After that we had tea and beautiful, freshly made, cake and sandwiches. It was a perfect Saturday afternoon. 🥰

Thank you, Josh and your colleagues, for making our day absolutely fantastic. You took the pressure off setting the room as we were at church. After 6 months of planning with your selves, it just couldn't have been a better day. From the drinks on arrival (which we arrived 10 minutes early) and the team were already waiting for us. Lunch was, of course, outstanding as usual (we had we happy guests), and most of all, the 2 staff members who were making sure everything went smoothly did such that. Also our family were so happy with their stay and their delicious breakfast. So we would like to thank you all so much. We would definitely recommend this venue.

Stayed over night for a Christmas party, we were greeted by a lovely young man called Elliot, he was really helpful and so polite. Elliot was a credit to the hotel! Fantastic service, lovely meal, beautiful room. Can’t fault it

Rooms are OK, although the "double bed" is made up of two single beds. Not very comfy and too soft. Room had a bathtub, but disappointed with the limited toiletries and the lack of bubble bath/bath oil which I would expect from a spa hotel. TV is small and not up to modern standards. Dinner was lovely and staff very attentive. Cleaning staff very loud and chatty in the morning which you can hear through the walls, so no need to set an alarm. Breakfast is overpriced with only one rasher of bacon, one sausage etc. Bar closes at 9pm which seems very early for a place with no alternative entertainment apart from going back to your room. My spa day was great! However the pool area seems more like a gym swimming pool - water is cold, and there's no 'spa vibe'. The other spa facilities are nice. Staff very friendly and helpful! My massage by Tia was fantastic and one of the better massages I've had. Being a therapist myself I'm very picky! The facial I received ( I can't remember therapist's name) wasn't all that good, but all in all a relaxing experience. Don't bother with the Aqua massage, it's just something that's added to the itinerary and doesn't actually give much benefit. Very long review, and if it seems negative- don't let it put you off. I would return! :)

We attended a wedding on Good Friday and it was beautiful. The venue is beautiful, the staff are helpful and polite and the food was amazing. As a vegan it can be hit and miss at events like this but I could not fault it. The toilets were so clean and this is an area where venues often fall down. The gardens are also stunning. It's a beautiful location for a wedding and it has a nice balance of being close enough to civilisation that you can get to shops if needed but far enough away that you feel like you're in the countryside in the middle of nowhere. If we were looking to renew our vows, I'd definitely consider this hotel. At the very least, I will be back to try out the spa.

Just back from a 2 night stay and spa . Lovely room, outstanding food, wonderful spa and beautiful gardens. The icing on the cake the friendly staff, everyone smiling and so pleasant - Thank you Julian in particular for looking after us so well in your bar and restaurant. Worth every penny !!

Just come back from a 3 night stay at this hotel, we didn't have any meals there. On the Saturday afternoon a mains water pipe burst and the water to the hotel was cut off as were another 20,000 homes in the area. Emily the reception manager phoned us and gave us the option to leave with a full refund but we didn't have anywhere else to go so we stayed. The hotel staff worked really hard to give the best service they could and put about 10 litres of water in bottles in our room. We couldn't fault anything with the hotel it was very clean and our room was very comfortable, all the hotel staff were really friendly. We went into the Spa on Saturday afternoon which was very nice and relaxing. They have a bank of EV chargers which was very handy to charge our car. We would certainly stay here again.

Stayed 14th October for our sons wedding. We had a fantastic day, from the moment we arrived. Staff are brilliant nothing is to much trouble for them. The wedding was amazing, food superb, couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank you Fairlawns for making the day so special for the 2 grooms and the wedding party. A day enjoyed by all

Went for a mid week meal, "just because". We had never been before. It is in a little bit of a time warp. I think because it is so well maintained, the owners have taken the view of "If it ain't broke don't fix it". So you can see 80s, 90s, 2000s and even recent decor all in one place. Saying that it is charming in its own way. Service is almost perfect (I can see that they are trying for almost silver service levels, but are not quite getting there). The food is beautifully presented and technically proficient, although certain dished were lacking in the correct level of flavours. I'm being really picky here I know, but we will definitely be going back.

We stayed as part of a wedding. The rooms were good. Baby's cot was provided which was very useful. For the wedding the wedding coordinator, Chris, was very friendly and patient, even when the wedding party were running slightly behind! Food provided for the wedding was great, as were the rest of the staff. Bar service was very quick. Great place for a wedding!

Went for a mud spa and afternoon tea. The spa reception is lovely with a warm welcome from staff. When you get the mud spa you only have access to mud room so we did not see the rest of the facilities. There were some old disposable knickers when we got into mud room so we were a little worried about the cleanliness of the place. However, we carried on with our DIY mud treatment which was quite nice. The afternoon tea was the best with a wide selection & you can takeaway leftovers, although service was very slow & it took ages for us to get more tea. All being said, I would return for afternoon tea & maybe to see the rest of the facilities. Hopefully, they have more attention to the cleanliness of the rest of it.

We had an a amazing time in the spa, and an overnight stay to celebrate our anniversary! It was such a lovely hotel. The staff are so attentive, and accommodating. The food was delicious! And the spa was so relaxing. Highly recommend!!

Came here for a wedding party, absolutely stunning hotel. Rooms are very modernly decorated and furnished. Staff are friendly. I didn’t see any of the bedrooms as didn’t stay but was lovely evening

After looking at the website, I was expecting a bit more from the hotel. The room was small but suitable for one night. You have to pay an extra £25 per person to use the spa facilities, so we didn't bother, as most hotels offer this as part of your stay. It felt very generic as hotels go. Plenty of car parking and the room was clean. It was a good location for us, but I wouldn't choose to stay again.

My husband Tim & I wanted to thank Joanne and all the Team for the excellent service provided at my Mom’s funeral reception on 11th July. Also for the kindness shown by upgrading us to a Deluxe Room for our 2 night stay. Room 50 was spotless, very comfortable and well equipped. Everything went extremely smoothly on 11th. The food for the buffet was excellent with great attention to detail. We had added a few extra requests but had no need to remind the Team about anything. We were really impressed. Fairlawn’s hosted my Dad’s funeral reception back in 2018 and my Mom always said that she would like us to use the same venue. Joanne and the Team certainly did her proud. Thank you!!

Went for a Spa day and have to say both my wife and I were really impressed. So many different places to relax, so many different saunas spa areas to try. We had a lovely lunch too. Definitely recommend going. Special mention to Millie who did my back massage, she was amazing. Looking forward to going again.

Had a wonderful reception when arriving. Went for lunch as we arrived early for our room. On returning to reception they presented us with an upgrade on the booked room. This was a special gift for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and a thank you for choosing the Fairlawns having had our wedding reception here 20 years ago. On entering the room we couldn’t believe the Anniversary card, chocolate and balloon, heart shaped. My wife and I thank the staff and management for their kind gift 💝. My wife is now enjoying her Spa treatment, with beauty treatments tomorrow. We will certainly be making the most of our weekend here and it will be a special year of memory. Thank you so much Fairlawns 💝

THE HAPPIEST HOTEL EVER... Everyone is so happy at the Fairlawns. It really shows that the staff love working there, which reflects in the amazing customer service. Fabulous rooms and food too. Next time I'll check out the spa facilities.

We went for a spa afternoon for two. This included use of the facilities and a back massage and facial treatment. I had my massage/facial completed by Alison, I have to say it was very relaxing! She was friendly and professional. The facilities are great and we would happily return!

I recently had my wedding at this hotel and was so impressed I felt I had to write this review. The hotel itself was beautiful, the rooms were immaculate, the facilities were great, but what sets this hotel up on a bar above the rest is the hotel staff. I've never ever been to a hotel where all the staff are smiling, friendly and all couldn't do enough for you. The hotel provides you with your very own Master of Ceremonies, who ensures everything runs smoothly on the day. You know when you have chosen the right place for your wedding ceremony when lots of the staff have also had their own weddings there. All my guests complimented on how nice the hotel was. Thanks to the team for helping us have one of the best days in our Lives!

Beautiful hotel and spa. I have been to Fairlawns twice with my friends for our birthday celebrations and would highly recommend the Blissful Spa Experience and Afternoon Tea. The spa is amazing and it is so difficult to say which facilities I enjoyed the most but if I had to choose I would have to say the jacuzzi and salt room. My friend has been to Fairlawns three times now, she found the Couture Body Massage to be particularly relaxing and enjoyed the spa so much she decided to treat her mum and sister to a spa experience too. My other friend prefers a much ‘warmer’ climate hence enjoyed unwinding in the Sauna Suite. The Afternoon Tea was one of the best that we have been to, there was plenty of choice, the sandwiches and cakes were so fresh and delicious and the presentation was delightful. Thank you to all at Fairlawns for making our special occasions so memorable and unforgettable.

Me & my wife got married at Fairlawns exactly one year ago today (October 9th 2021), a date long in the making. So in many respects this review is long overdue. Despite two cancellations of our wedding, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team Fairlawns remained professional & informative. Communication was always clear and timely. Special thanks go to Joanne for always being there throughout the planning process, and to Josh for managing our special day with a friendly and attentive attitude. I called John (Owner) the following Monday morning, to express our gratitude & to phrase Joanne, Josh & the team for their professionalism & care throughout the process. We even returned to celebrate our first anniversary. We enjoyed a lovely meal in a wonderful setting. The staff even had a card waiting for us on our table when we arrived. Just exceptional, a really lovely personal touch. I would have no hesitation in recommending the wedding & dining experience at Fairlawns Hotel & Spa to anyone. Truly amongst the very best that the West Midlands has to offer. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Went to fairlawns for a wedding and stayed overnight with the family. Rooms were lovely, the space used for the wedding was Brill and the staff were fantastic. Lovely and accommodating, even with my children. Food was simple but good, fair selection of drinks.

It's my favourite hotel to visit. Staff are always friendly and attentive, and the service is unmatched. My room was immaculate, and their spa facilities are great. Their Prosecco Afternoon Tea was amazing with lots of options. Their breakfast was also enjoyanle and peaceful. Can't wait to go back!

Excellent. Stopped here for my daughters wedding and had room also. The young lady who helped through the day (I think her name was rebecca) was absolutely brilliant, professional and very courteous. What an absolute credit to the fairlawns. I think I heard she's leaving for somewhere else soon so she will be hard to replace and no doubt missed. Anyway, the place is clean, lots of people are friendly and rooms clean. Ideal for a wedding which we had, and the food they put on was very nice also. Recommend this place if you need a venue

Arrived for a wedding after a long day at work, greeted by Alysha in reception. Fantastic customer service, nothing was too much to ask for. Thank you for making the whole process easy, from arranging room amenities to spa! You were fab and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great spa or just to relax! If your attending a wedding then 💯 make the most of your day and turn it into a stay, like I have 👌🏻

Always an enjoyable time here. The food and drink are to a high standard but are slightly overpriced for the area. staff are attentive and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The spa facilities are wonderful and I would recommend receiving a treatment. While it is very nice the bar area since being redecorated within the last few years still feels dated and some of the clientele act like they’re at The Ritz and should be treated like royalty but the latter is not the establishments fault. Overall, would recommend a visit if passing by or if there is an offer on.

Absolutely amazing 🤩 January 2023 I took my partner here for her birthday. I was not disappointed !!! From the moment we got there to the moment we left we were very looked after by all members of staff across the hotel and spar . Our room was immaculate!! And was so lovely we stayed in the four poster bed room. The coffee machine in the room was very high quality 👌the spar facilities where amazing . I also booked my partner 3 treatments and she said they where all amazing . The food at the restaurant 178 is amazing and staff are on point 👌 Can’t wait to go back in the spring , would highly recommend to anyone. It is well worth every penny I spent which was also very reasonable! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I love everything about Fairlawns, the spa, the gym, the trainers, the outstanding food in both the restaurant and the bar. The staff are so attentive and have excellent customer service skills. The best in the West Midlands. I don’t know anywhere else with out door hot tubs and spa facilities like Fairlawns. The pool is relaxing and the accommodation is luxurious, you can have a room with two floors. If you have kids there is a play and picnic area. Great for couples and lots of space in the grounds for quiet time too.

Had booked a weekend stay and dine package for my wife’s birthday. And what can i say everything was perfect from the room the spa and the food. There was also plenty of vegan/vegetarian options and they had upgraded our room from a deluxe to a junior suite because of the occasion and they had left a happy birthday card with some chocolates in room. Honestly I couldn’t have asked for anything extra. All the staff are so polite and helpful so I just like to say a BIG thank you to all for making our stay a special and memorable one. Keep up the great work. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.😊
