Food very tasty. Typical German menu. Delicious jaeger schnitzel with noodles (szpetzle) in mushroom sauce. Delicious salads. The fish are fresh from their own pond. Very nice owners. The restaurant is only open 3 weekends a month. A picturesque village located "at the end of the world".

The food was very tasty and you could immediately tell that they work with quality ingredients. Everything we ate there tasted great. The hosts and staff were incredibly nice. We can only recommend the Fenkenmühle. Unfortunately, you don't find such great service and delicious food that often anymore! 10 out of 10 points!

We like to come and eat trout with the family. Upon request, the cook will debone the fish so that it is not visible and the fish itself is still whole. On the homepage you can read where the food is sourced from - everything is regional or from our own farm. The cook always responds to all special requests.

Insider tip for everyone who loves excellent fried (giant) chicken, freshly caught trout from our own farm or crisp salad freshly harvested in the garden. In addition, a rustic, friendly, attentive service at all times and the finest delicious cider with an idyllic beer garden under old chestnut trees. The schnitzel menu will be put into work for the next visit! Unconditional thumbs up on the second visit! We'll definitely be back!

The bad reviews cannot be understood. Last night, once again, both meals, fried chicken and trout, including starter salad, were delicious and obviously freshly prepared. In particular, the better half's chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. All of this at reasonable prices and in a completely acceptable “processing time”. I've never had hair in my food, whether from dogs or humans. The dining room is bright and clean.

We were there as a group of 10 people. Since I'm neither a fan of chicken or trout, I was only partially satisfied with the food. But most people enjoyed the chicken and trout But what didn't work well was the service. The food arrived at a large interval so that the first ones were already finished by the time the last ones arrived.

It's not possible... once and never again! We only got there after 2 hours!!! Got our food. Even though we had small children with us. We had to wait almost half an hour just to be able to order the drinks. The service was hopelessly overwhelmed and only the boss alone could take orders for all tables (inside and outside). To make matters worse, a main course of 3 was also sold out. When we finally had our food, expectations were high, but honestly, this meal wasn't worth the wait. The side salad was good, but the schnitzel was dry and the fries were hard and lukewarm. I think they could have been a little more accommodating here when you realize that the guests had to wait forever. A schnapps or a dessert on the house might have lifted our bad mood. In addition, quad bikes and a soft ice cream truck would be advertised in the newspaper. But the soft ice cream truck wasn't even there. It's a shame if you've already promised your children that. We definitely won't eat here again.

I would like to give a big compliment to the innkeepers Schnetz. A review is being submitted here today by guests who would have liked to have been able to express their opinions and concerns on site, which I, also a guest, cannot leave alone. After a long period of pandemic, the Fenkenmühle is open again. Anyone who knows the Fenkenmühle knows that everything is freshly prepared, except of course the fries, which are frozen. Unfortunately, the pandemic has also led to many restaurateurs having a staff shortage. Now to the criticism: For the schnitzel, which are freshly breaded and are not already breaded at the lecture and then end up soggy in the pan, that just takes time! The fact that the ice cream seller canceled at the last minute is out of the hands of the innkeepers. In order to get an apology, a schnapps or dessert when you already notice that there is a lot going on and you have to wait, an honest and open criticism from the guest would also help a host more than complaining afterwards. We enjoyed it, everything was fresh, huge portions, fair price and we will definitely come back!
