(Stayed Jan 2020) Pros: - The room was very spacious - Two wardrobes - Two single beds pushed together - Large table - Two chairs - TV (Never used it) - Large mirror in bedroom - Very large bathtub - Private bathroom/toilet - 10 min walk to railway station (At my speed) Cons: - WiFi didn't work and hardly connected. - Un-informed of a daily morning cleaner - One of the plug sockets didn't work - Metal floor grips are sharp - No view - Guest house is located away from the reception - Bed is very low to the ground and squeaky I would stay here again. Not everything was perfect but honestly that's to be expected. I'm not giving it a low score because it was bad. It was fine but a few minor issues.

Great location and friendly staff, I stayed 2 nights to visit Phansialand and ate at the restaurant both night, room was great with a central location, 2 mins walk from the restaurant, food was good, pizza average but overall a great experience. Was nervous after booking and reading reviews but all was positive, would stay here again

The staff are wonderful, the location is ridiculously convenient. With cafes, restaurants, a shopping mall and access to the Phantasialand shuttle service very near by. You get what you pay for with the rooms, they are affordable and contain the basic essentials. The only concern I came to realise was that certain rooms are can be opened with the same key. Which raises concerns of saftey and security, especially when a placard in each room mentions that the hotel takes no responsibility for loses due to theft or otherwise. If not for this fact, this would be a 5 star review. As it offers value for money, location, and a wonderful staff team.

Amazing staff, I had ran into issues on my commute into Bruhl and got stuck on the other side of the Rhine River. Staff was helpful in making sure I had a place to stay and were extremely accommodating. Grateful for them as otherwise I might have had to sleep on the streets. 10/10 will stay here again. Great value for money.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff. Everything about the hotel was good. It was clean, roomy with good service. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. Bathroom is big with bathtub & separate glass-door shower. 1) first draw back is that there were no lift in the hotel so we had to carry the luggage’s to 4th floor ! 2) no free parking (cost 10€) 3) reception is one location and hotel rooms are different location (not too far but nearby) 4) they should hand over wi-fi passwords during checkin.

Went with my little family to Phantasialand and booked a 2-night stay at Balthasar Neumann for the proximity to the park. Unexpectedly, the hotel is not only a short drive to Phantasialand but it is also right next to the shopping district in Brühl. Lots of nice shops and cafes within walking distance! That was a pleasant surprise. We paid for breakfast for the 2 days we were there, and immensely enjoyed the meals. Fresh baked bread, fresh brewed coffee, and a calm ambience. I did not catch his name, but the eldery gentleman that served us both mornings was very nice and attentive, provided great service! The room was a great size and clean when we got there. We got the suite-ensuite, 2 kings and a double bed (3 bedrooms). We got fresh towels and a cleaning each day, which we appreciated. No excessive noise, no complaints about the room. Just bring your own toiletries, like shampoo and toothpaste (or buy from the store on the corner). Its confusing to find parking so i paid for parking with the hotel as they have their own parking area (10€/day). Its about a 2 block walk away from the hotel but that isnt far, and better than searching for parking in my opinion because we also have a large US truck. My family and I all enjoyed our stay here! Highly recommend for anyone!

We booked a room for 2 nights, with breakfast. Our room was on the 3th floor. It is a different place, than the restaurant/reception, but only 1-2 minutes on foot. The bed was extra comfortable, the room is quiet, looks good and clean. We get nice breakfast, what was tasty and enought. Thank You very much! :)

Not impressed by the standard of the rooms (from 3 occasions, 1 was good, but 2 others were bad), but the location is good.

Worst experience ever, be careful if you are booking a room here. They have this "policy" that says reception closes at 10pm. My flight from London was delayed, and I informed them that. Without any empathy, they did not even contacted me and cancelled my booking. Saying it was a "no show". And yes, they took my money anyway. Absolutely disgusting. Still fighting for my refund, but I am being ignored.

We rented one of their apartments, and can absolutely recommend that to others. Fair sized apartment with two big bedrooms with a double bed in each. Good bathroom with bathtub, nice kitchen with fridge but perhaps a little short on cooking equipment. But who cooks gourmet dinners on vacation anyway? There even is an elevator! :D Walking distance to shopping mall with grocery store (Rewe/Aldi) and to the railway station with shuttle bus to Phantasialand. Nice restaurants in the area. :)

Not a bad value for buck. We had a couple of hiccups during our stay but the overall experience was still memorable. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try the sauna. First the bad: Room was not ready when we came here, we had to wait. Not a problem but I don’t need to see my room before it’s ready. We ordered our dishes without pork meat (we even asked if that was possible weeks before we came, in our inquiry email) and the first time the fish dish came with pork pieces all over it. Ok, no problem, mistakes happen. Now comes the shock of my day: they bring me the same dish with the pig pieces removed. Not cool. The good: The waiter is so hearty! The food quality is quite good to be honest (despite me not eating the rest of after tasting the pork) The beds are actually really comfortable!

Comfortable, clean rooms with SUPER friendly personnel and AMAZING cuisine! The "hotel" is actually several houses (spread in a small radius around the center of Brühl) which have been renovated and nicely outfitted for overnight stays. In my opinion, the best place to stay in the area around southern Köln...the hotel and restaurant is located in Brühl's pedestrian area. I stay there every week for a night on work and can highly recommend it!
