Its feels like home there will feel like a part a member of family more than a anything The price : is sooo good for this location and this facilities The cleaning : the place is really clean they take care about that thing and its has a washing machine also 👍 The location : a bit far from the beach of Unawatuna 10 minutes walk maybe but it close to the main road and the Unawatuna train station My advise you should go there guys and support the owner he is 23 years old and he is studying on his weekend I know that we as low budget travelers cant afford him help with money but we can make the place the best by any ideas or souvenirs Wish you all the best have a great year in that day

Very well kept and beautiful furnished. The food was tasty and classy. They were abel to server a wide variety of food as in a five star hotel. Ceylon Hostel is excellent place in Down South Sri Lanka.

Super place for staying and enjoying in relax calm and quite place.nice cosy place for every one.you can use fully equiped kitchen and all facilities in that hostel

This was a great location with all facilities.I recommend this place for anyone who is looking for accommodations while they are travelling.

We booked a double room but when we arrived we just saw the mattress full of stains , the share bathroom was really dirty and smelly. We just left the hostel and asked them to not charge us but they refused. The prices are reasonable and maybe the atmosphere is nice but this is not for us.

Regarding the location is in a village next to the train station but far from the beach (about 1.5 km) so I had to take a tuk tuk each . The sheets were with a big stain and no mosquito net. The room is very hot in the day and in the night too but you have a small fan that is not makeing any difference. I also did't like: 1. the location into a local village FAR away from the main beach to 1.5 km of Unawatuna and 3 km from Jungle beach. A taxi refused to come to the narrow street so only Tuk Tuk that over charge. 2. The water pressure is close to 0 and cold 3. The wifi you can connect but no internet 4. No mosquito net in my room and in the night when I got home it were at least 10-15 mosquitos (without exaggerate ). 5. Very poor breakfast 6. The room that I had it is very worm in the night and very hot in the day. I had a very small fan at my head. 7. dirty bed sheets (I will attach 1 foto). I liked the owner that it was very nice but I had to wait for him over 1 hour to came to the hostel to check in. I know that the owner has been very nice and I give him 5***** for hospitality but I had to mention the truth about the hostel it self. I hope it will improve it with A/C, mosquito net in all the rooms and working wifi.

Great place. Fully equipped kitchen and very nice and friendly worker that can help you and drive to near places with his scooter.
