A really nice place to stay along the coastline of Weligama, with lovely spacious and clean rooms. The Queen-sized bed was really comfy, the air con kept us cool, and the bathroom was nice, airy and clean. The balcony gave us a nice view of the ocean too. Also if you're up for doing a bit of work there is a nice big desk with power points in the room. The pool looked nice although I didn't get the chance to try it out

Outpost was a great place to work remotely for 2 weeks. Wi-Fi was top quality and the view of the beach was amazing. Pasan made our stay very comfortable. He is a great host. His English is amazing. He helped me organise an amazing surprise for my girlfriends birthday. He was always available to answer questions and gave us a nice greeting. He helped recommend many good things to do. The team were also great when my girlfriend was sick and really helped her get the treatment she needed Many good restaurants near by.

Loved my 2 week stay at Outpost! The place is located in a quiet area, right on the beach and just a short walk from the main surf beach break in Weligama. Staff is incredibly accommodating 🙌 Pool is well maintained and cafe has a great selection of food and drinks. Unfortunately the rooftop was closed during the low season. Rooms are comfortable, clean and equipped with a working desk and spacious bathroom. AC works like a charm and wifi is surprisingly stable and fast. If you need a separate place to work, outpost has 2 rooms dedicated to co-working with ergonomic chairs. Only for heads down working however since there are no call booths. In terms of community, during low season there are limited to no events. So be prepared to take your own initiative to meet people. Overall, great experience and will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Outpost. The staff was very friendly and guest satisfaction is valued extremely high. I was even allowed to leave my suitcase with the staff for a week prior to our check-in date. Especially Pasan went out of his way to create a unique experience for us. One night he stayed 2 hours beyond his working hours to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday with cake and a birthday card. Only negative is the price for the stay, given that there is no kitchen and having to buy all meals at the restaurant adds quite a bit to the overall costs.

Worked here for 2 months in March/April. Great service, great food, great wifi. Their team is always on hand to help with anything you might need. Super attentive and great customer service. Having use of the pool for a mid-day dip is a huge bonus too. Highly recommend

A wonderful hotel! I was especially pleased with the equipped place for work, as well as the kitchen, as the food is really very tasty. The staff was extremely polite and friendly. They were always ready to help with any question. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and clean. A variety of events held by the Outpost administration will not let any guest get bored. Stayed for a week, the sea view rooms are specious and nice. Very friendly staff, always happy to assist. If you're there for surfing and not a beginner, the main Weligama peak is about 10 minute walk on the beach. Free wifi is good compared to other places I've stayed in in the past.

Great place to stay at! We immediately felt comfortable and welcome. The friendly staff is very attentive and offers a great service. They arranged an absolutely amazing birthday surprise at the rooftop terrace on short notice. The pool area was my favorite spot, amazing to relax at. The hotel is always neat and clean.

We had a lovely stay at Outpost Weligama. The staff were absolutely amazing. The food was great. The location was perfect (on a less crowded part of the beach). The internet was super fast. And the price was more than reasonable. Their concept of coworking/coliving ensured there were lots of like-minded people in the building at all times. And the Outpost team really went out of their way to make sure everyone felt welcomed and appreciated. Highly recommended!

Great Co-living place! The rooms are super comfortable, the staff is just amazing, the food a dream and they have really good coffe. I enjoyed my stay and jumping in the pool between my zoom calls. Even when my laptop broke the manager helped me out, went with me to a computer repair store and borrowed me his laptop in the mean time. I felt really taken care about. Thank you 🫶

One of the best coworking space and also coliving in Weligama Sri-Lanka. All the places are very clean, a lot of space, good internet speed for video calls and also a power source generator in case of power cuts. All the staff are amazing, and it will help you with anything you ask, specially Janith, Bhasu, Manoj and Sahan, which will treat will like friends, the whole staff is very kind and prestative. The restaurant has a really good coffee and a lot of delicious meals, and you can also chill in the swimming pool. The rooftop bar just opened, which makes perfect to watch the sunset, have some drinks and dinner. I stayed at the coliving for some weeks, its more expensive than other places, but it's very convenient, you have big and clean bedrooms with private bathroom, and just in front of the beach, less than 1 minute walking to the beach. If you are staying in the coliving its has also included the coworking and internet, which justify the higher price than the other locations which dont have this, so its the perfect choice for digital nomads, you have a place to stay and work. Finally expect some good events to integrate in the outpost community, such as lunchs, dinners, beach cleanups and others.

I can not say enough good things about Outpost Weligama. To start, the location is perfect, it is right off the main road in Weligama and you’re directly in front of the beach. The open spaces, co-working space, and rooms were all impeccably clean, and the whole property had great natural light, making it a great place to work all day. The attention to detail from the staff was like one you would experience at a five star resort . Every member of the staff was so attentive, and always ready to help. The staff went out of their way for us several times to ensure we had what we needed. Everything from printing important documents, to helping us get a driver at a good price, they did not hesitate to make it happen. I want to say thank you to all of the staff for being awesome! You made our experience that much better. And a special thank you to Janith and Chanil for being extra attentive with everything and for helping me get into the building after I was locked out late one night. I would highly recommend Outpost to anyone visiting Sri Lanka! I will definitely be back!

Perfect, perfect, perfect. The internet and coworking areas are ideal. In my opinion, the location can’t be beat- you’re not in the thick of it in Weligama but you’re close enough to walk there. The people that work at Outpost are so sweet and helpful and made mine and my husbands stay amazing. The food - especially the breakfast- is some of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka! Could not recommend more!

I had such an amazing experience with Outpost and their team. The people working here went all the extra miles and I can be honest that I will really miss working here. I spent 2 weeks in Weligama and worked here frequently as well as spent 1 night here. The staff was super friendly and they also help me arrange transport etc to my next destination. Outpost in weligama is a wonderful place for working people. There are two big office rooms with air conditioning, water, every working place is equipped with electrical outlets. There is also a huge area with a coffee/food bar. Also equipped with electrical outlets and fans. The most relaxing place in outpost is a beautiful clean swimming pool (See the picture). The wifi internet is available everywhere. There is also a rooftop bar with a amazing sunset view, delicious food and drinks. Outpost stuff are super friendly, thoughtful guys, ready to help with everything. I had my birthday party in outpost. They organized everything sooo great 😀 there was a lot of yummy food, cake, drinks, decorations! They did so cool and taught us Sri Lanka birthday’s traditions. (See the picture)

We stayed here for 2 months, working full time remote jobs, so if you're wondering whether that's possible, is definitely is. The coworking space has a quiet area and your room also has a desk to work on if you prefer. Outpost is located just outside weligama, you can walk on the beach for 10 minutes to get there or just get a tuktuk, there's always some waiting out front. Food is amazing both at the cafe as well as in the rooftop bar. While you should get as much of the amazing Sri Lankan food as possible while you're there, it's nice to have good food options right where you work. Most importantly the staff is absolutely amazing. Not just Bhasu and Manoj who will help you with whatever you need, but also the cafe & kitchen staff, facilities personal and manager. It's very much not just your regular hotel experience, but we felt quite at home. You might have heard about the great hospitality of the Sri Lankan people and this is where you find it.

Stayed here for a month in April, loved the room, the outstanding staff members(i can't say this enough), the location, the pool is really nice. During the power cut they always have their generator on, so work has not been effected at all, WiFi is fast, secure. I love the lemon pie on their cafe, would also recommend the brownie, smoothie bowls and granola bowl, and beef sandwich, two sisters(drink). At the roof top restaurant, I recommend the lamb skewers, sunset chicken, and the ceviche.

Stayed there for few night because I needed reliable internet connection. That was the only place that I stayed in Sri Lanka that had constant internet and power supply. Food was really good. Staff SUPER helpful and caring. Definitely recommend if you need a place for work. I was working in the room witch was nice. Common are was crowded.

Amazing coworking space, amazing staff: always here to help and support you. Internet is always stable and fast (70Mo), they have a generator so no electricity cut. I worked there everyday for 2 months. I highly recommend if you are working and you need a solid place to work. There is also a pool for members and outpost even provide the towels. I’ll come back

Amazing place, with beautiful rooftop, perfect to enjoy the sunset. The staff is very kind and friendly, always ready to help. The internet connection works amazingly and the café offers a great variety of vegetarian and even vegan meals. Very good coffee as well. I just love this place!

Stayed here on 3rd October 2020. Excellent hotel with a fascinating location. Unlike the other nearby beaches with a lot of noise from cafes, restaurants, crowds, and traffic, AURA hotel, having been located in the Weligama bay, has a really calm environment where you can hear only the sea breeze. The rooms are spacious and clean. The room we stayed in had a nice balcony with the sea view. You can have the accessibility to the rooftop and the swimming pool. When it comes to the service it was next level. The managers, Mr. Anuradha and Mr. Arjuna were so helpful, welcoming, and super friendly. These two humble gentlemen are ready to give their very best in anything you ask for. Thanks to them we had a great time. We will definitely visit there again and recommend this place 100%.

Absolutely absolutely the best ever in Matara, Weligama out of all the hotels available. The hospitality given by Arjuna and Anuradha is next level from the time they welcomed us. We asked for anything in addition they come up with more than what we asked for the same price. They customize your needs and wants where other hotels lack to do so. But these guys are the best as I have ever seen. Splendid location, full of greenery. You can surf in the beach front. Beach not too deep. Perfect spot to surf. There's a pool which glows in the night, with extra lightings, perfect for the price given. Besides, the hospitality by Arjuna and Anuradha makes you feel absolutely sensational. I would recommend this place to anyone with all my heart and a big thank you for taking care of us like none other guys. Cheers to the entire Aura weligama Bay hotel

100% worth recommemdation ! We aimed to stay only one night but Deicide for 3 and then całe back for another one :) The manager - Arjur is a great Man ! Truly helpful and ready to help in Anthing you Ask for :) Definitely take a stop if you ever come around !
