Dangerous Scam : Tourist trap to be avoided. Prices are way too high. Really weird setup, felt uncomfortable and pressured to buy. Would never go back. We bought a bottle of cinnamon, ad we felt we had to buy something. We opened it at home, smelled and tasted it. I think it's sawdust with a hint of cinnamon! Compared to some expensive cinnamon bought at high end grocery stores and this was awful. I don't know what's really in it?? Do not consume and apply any products you buy from here.

Cheaters! Tuk tuk driver brought me there and said that all tourists visit this place. Suppose, nobody come by their wish. Nothing to see in this garden, man who told me all "miracles" of his plants always tried to sell something and at the end of excursion asked for money for support this garden. I paid 500 r.s extra to tuk tuk driver for this place and simply wasted my time for nothing. By coincidence I didn't have internet that time to check reviews about this garden, otherwise would never come here.

Scam for tourists. They can easily charge from you more than 100 dollars, for couple “natural” products. Be aware and don’t buy anything, also don’t trust the tuktuk drivers.

Tuktuk driver takes you and you have no time to look at reviews. Do not go to this place it feels like a sect and it’s a total tourist trap. It should be reported somewhere! 5000 lkr lighter and feeling disappointed in people which is a big shame cause we came across some amazing Sri Lankan folk.

TOURIST TRAP. Dont go here!!! Theyre conmen truly. Very disheartening experience. Give you the most scripted tour of a few plants and then tried to charge me 300$ for some creams n cinnamon. On top of it all, the “doctor” working there asked for a tip after. I’ve never felt so cheated before.

We went with a tuktuk to this “garden”/ saleshop by recomandation from the hotel staff. The alerts should have been awake already at the entry baøecause it was free to go into the garden. The garden seemed to be very small and the guide very focused on telling and showing with different creams and oils how great everything worked. All of a sudden we should have massage, and actially it was good. Afterwards we were afsked to pay donations as they were students. Very quick we were lead to a shop with lots of herbal creams, oils and pills. Wupti and then we have bought 2 times sandalwood Oil and outstanding herbal cream, and red Oil. The Price they wanted was so high but we ended up paying 26.500 sri lanka rupees which was Way to much! The sandaloil is so Thick and makes my skin stings and burning and my eyes cry! The plastic bottles doesnt have a declaration how to use or whats inside of the bottles, so we felt very cheated. The guide ended up asking for a donation because the entry was free. So be aware of these turist tricks !!!!!!

OK. It took me 2 weeks until I write this review and trying to be as objective as possible. I spent way TOO MUCH in the spice garden. Is it overpriced – hell yes, like 10x more than it's original price. We bought red oil, 2x santal wood oil + outstanding cream and 3x guggulu pills + 1x eczema cream with oil = total price like 50000 LKR. Insane, I know. HOWEVER. The products are working!!! My boyfriend after 5 days of using santal wood oil has a new skin. His pigmentation and wrinkles magically disappeared, he is like 5 yrs younger lol. Finally my biggest problem I went there with is my eczema skin issue. Doctor gave me some natural pills and I can tell you, after years of fighting and cannot find a solution it starts going away. Magic. Take is as you pay for a medical consultation. The guys are overcharging but they know what they are doing. :)

As with all these places they really are trying to sell you something even though they say no hard sell. The walk/talk through the garden was interesting though

Tourist trap. Tuk tuk driver takes you there And Its already a bit shady. No tourguide book would ever recommend such place. Say no to the tuk tuks WHO Forces you to go there. There Are 10 men around. One explains you things about herbs, then they give you a "free"massage And then lead you straight to the shop with overpriced products eg 5000 rupies for a "Miraculous" cream. If you want Real ayurvedic products,go to legal ayurvedic pharmacy. I Ended up not buying anything from these manipulative scammers And left. There was a really strange atmosphere when I Saíd I didnt want anything. Avoid this place.

I bought one cream to remove hair. They sold it to me as it would reduce the quantity, like a laser procedure. I doubted but bought to see the result. It dissolve the hair, but nothing else. And it irritate a bit my skin.

Well.. The tuk-tuk driver brought us here on our way to another place. Typical "touristic" shop that tells you a story about magic plans and oils and forces to buy some. Sure prices are x3 compared to normal. Some demo potions are working, hairs on my arm dissapeared :)

The tour is ok, I guess, but it’s only to tell you about how Mickey Mouse is real. Even got people speaking your language trying to convince you of whatever treatment fits your ailment. In the shop, the grand finale of the tour, you will be coerced to buy overpriced products, including weird pills. DON’T GO THERE, AND STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS PLACE.

👎 The garden itself was nice, not a big place but tour was informative if quick! I had a brief shoulder head neck massage - I have concerns about the cleanliness of the treatment room and my massage “therapist” was friendly but obviously untrained- even told me he was studying massage. Then the shop- I felt pressured and deceived. They were evasive about prices and then charged more than agreed upon. I don’t mind paying a little bit more as a tourist but I don’t like to feel violated!! I couldn’t get away from there quickly enough. They also offered boat tours but I wasn’t going to be there any longer. Don’t go. Just happened upon this place as I toured around. Wish I’d seen the reviews and would have continued past! Wish there was a way to give less than one star!! 👎

Found it very difficult for my husband, who uses a wheelchair, it took 7 of the staff to physically carry him up the steps to the bathroom. Although we were told it was very flat we found it very difficult to manoeuvre the wheelchair around and had to constantly wait for help

It's all about money and selling something to you. All you tuktuk drives wil take you here even if you are not willing. There is a man explaining all the herbs AND at the end, you will be nicely taken to a herbal shop. Which is really a super costly.
