Worst McDonald's service experience EVER!!! So it's Sunday, 10 April 2022 at about 16:00. We had promised our kids a Happy meal. We are at the ordering window and the very rude lady assumed we would pick the cheese burgers for the kids. I then said, no they want chicken. She said she had already picked the cheese burgers. So I said, please cancel that and make it chicken. First she mumble something in on of the African languages. Then she refused to change it. We drove off... she must have canceled the entire order after we left, because that was probably less effort than giving your customers what they ask for. . If you don't understand costomer service, please quit your job.

I went to the Macdonald's drive through and I swiped for my order but I was told that the card declined, yet the money deducted from my bank account. The lady assisting me told me that it would bounce back within the night and I once again swiped for the order but this time, using my wife's card. I went back to the restaurant the following day, as my money didn't bounce back. I requested to speak to the manager, who was not helpful at all with the issue. She in fact blew me off as if it was a waste of her time and told me that the money would bounce back during the week. I then proceeded to call customer care on Monday 28 March. I later received an sms from them stating that they logged a call for me and I also got a reference number. To this day I haven't received my money back and no one has called me with an update as to what is happening. I have sent customer care two emails already and still nothing! Absolutely pathetic service!!!

This McDonald's has speedy service. The staff is very friendly and also very helpful. The food is nice and fresh! I always enjoy eating here. It is situated at the ideal location. Keep it up MC-D!

This McDonald's has great and speedy service. The food is always tasty and I always know exactly what to expect when I eat here. I've tried the new McDonald's-App as well, the staff assisted me with a smile - no issues whatsoever! My personal favorite is the BigMac meal with a Sprite! I almost always have one of these. The milkshakes are also great tasting and creamy. The in-house dining area is always clean and tidy. I would recommend this take-away anytime of the day!

The food is mediocre when compared to other McDonald's in South Africa. The staff are slow and don't speak English well. Also goldfields security and McDonald's need to do more about the beggars who annoy the hell out of me and interrupt me while I try ordering through the drive through.

10minutes from entrance to order. 10 minutes from order to payment window. 20 min from payment window to collection. That is 40min for drive through ??? Is this what you call a drive through. It defeats the description of drive through.Faster and cheaper at other outlets. Wont make this mistake again

The staff is really rude. The lady that was assisting me made a mistake with my order and blamed it entirely on me. I understood that I might not have been very clear with order but if there was anything she didn't understand she should have asked me.

I did not enjoy my experience here. At all! The staff member who served me was rude and impatient. She had the nerve to tell me that she wants to knock off and that I'm wasting her time because I didn't make my order at the speed that she desired. I wanted to try out the burger that was on special and instead of her answering my question about the new burger she snapped and let me know that she wanted to leave. I understand that she might have had a long day at work. But what she could have done was ask someone else to take over the order instead of snapping at me.

Don't even deserve a star at all. Pathetic service each and every single time. Management doesn't worry about solving any issues, staff just doesn't want to help you. Another day another excuse. I give it 6 Months then they will close down for pathetic service. DO NOT GO AND WASTE YOUR TIME BY THIS MCDONALDS you have been warned. Staff rude as can be...

We had a very unpleasant interaction with one of the staff. We were not able to communication clearly as she could not understand what we wanted to order whereupon she said to come to the next window. When we arrived at the next window we once again had to give our order to her (we ordered two items, by the way), and had to carefully communicate what it is we wanted (ice coffee). Thereafter, she walked away and shouted our order in her tribal language and further mocked us in her language clearly mimicking us. She didn't even care to ask if we wanted anything else, and I had to shout that we also wouls like some fries- her body language at this point closed off towards us. We've had some good experiences here, but my coffee was bland and tasted like milk. Yhe general disregard shown towards us made me decide to never order here again.

The staff is extremely rude. Asked to change the order and was condescendingly spoken to. The manager was just as complicit and didn't try to de-escalate the situation or treat us as patrons of the business. As the other reviews have stated, the staff is rude. Please do something about this.

At some McDonald outlets they have a coffee and doughnut special it's even advertised on TV. One lady from Welkom won a competition on OFM radio station with the same special but when you ask for it it's not available the response is the management does not allow that special. It's misleading you may NOT mislead the customers.

Please check your slips, they charge for items that is included in the meal and when I tried to take it up with the lady she barely spoke to me and spoke to her colleague in Sotho!! The colleague gave several excuses for example that if i orderd the same items separately I would have paid much more, and then it was the system that charges more and then she told me that I have never checked my receipts is the past and that is why I did not know that the advertised price is not the price we normally pay...... Wonder what they are doing with the items we pay for that is already included in the price. Horrible service. Will not support this place again!! Greet all of the other customers but even though I smiled and greeted I did not get the same courtesy back and this was when I placed my order. I get the feeling that I'm not a valued customer because I'm not belonging to the majority customers they are serving. Will spend my money somewhere else in the future.....

The service at Macdonalds was quite good at the drive through, staff were friendly but the thing that makes me not want to go back is their lack of security. There are plenty of people standing I'm the drive through asking for money and disturbing people who want to be left alone and they refuse to take no for an answer. I would suggest something gets done about this before they lose clients

Went to get my grandchildren a treat for this holiday visit at 12h30. Drive thru guys were placing black hard plastic razor Chalmers so you can't pass. Had no decency of advising all of us in the queue why. Went inside to check but staff so unfriendly and not customer focus. Just told all of us blame Eskom as the power is off. Come back at 2pm. Cos I promised my grandchildren went back and was second in the drive thru. Never opened even until 2.40pm. Call were unanswered for some time. Eventually on the 5th try they answered and said not sure what time the power will come on. Although the rest in the complex had power. The worst Mac Donalds ever. Staff didn't even come to the door where customers were banging the door for service. Perhaps staff were having a relaxing day instead of keeping their customers abreast of the status.

Verry poor experience! After waiting 15min for someone to help over the drive thru speaker we were met by a dready and tardy person claming they cant take a item off rhe order... How does that work? Then waiting for an extended time in the drive thru while staff is screaming inside the restaurant! Reading these reveiws it seems that this is just a poor experience overall....

I used enjoy visiting this establishment as McDonald's is one of my favorite fast food restaurants. Unfortunately, I will not be visiting this establishment any time soon. As soon as you get into the queue for the drive-through you get constantly harassed by beggars, making the whole experience uncomfortable. I hope you will be able to address the situation in the interest and safety of your customers.

The food is fine like any other McDonald's but the main issue is their service. There are days where they are understaffed which would subsequently make their service slow and you would wait for a long time ( there are days where I waited for an hour and half) for your food. I will add that the experience that I had with the staff has always been a friendly one.

I waited for my order for almost an hour.. 2 other clients got there orders before me that order after me and the best part was it was the same order... cleanliness is not even a talking point and times like these they should be even more on point. Hi I was at mcDonald's welkom before yesterday around 9pm,I was treated very bad by the cashier,that lady was very rude to me,I ordered and asked for a rest room I didn't even take 5minute the lady came to the door she was screaming come out we want to close,I mean she couldn't wait for me to finish that's very bad

The staff are a bit aloof, one expects McD to be fast but that one isnt and they dont even bother to say something like "your food will take a bit of t7ne due to...." even if they take long and you tell them uve bn waiting for long they just give you ur food and on to the next one.

A very unpleasant experience this afternoon..... Firstly, the drive through took extremely long, and a while after ordering and waiting to get to the window to pay, we are informed that the gas for the sodas was finished so we had to choose something else and pay the difference.
