Really nice and quiet place. Beautiful decor and great service. Loved the breakfast. We had to make a booking for a work colleague on really short notice and they really went out of their way for us. Would go back anytime

What an amazing Guest house!!! And the owners really went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. The room we stayed in was so beautiful and the whole Guest house decor was really remarkable. Every year we come through to Welkom for my daughter's SA dance competition and we really finish late every evening and what was really standing out for us was that these owners waited up for me and my daughter and helped with our things to our room and made sure we had everything we needed. This was really for us going out of their way to assist us. Would also like to say thank you to Jackie that assisted us with every thing we needed as we came in and was rushing to get my daughter ready for the competition. 51 on Church is our 2nd Home and will be from now in every year when we come through for my daughter's SAComp.

We came to check-in from a long drive. The company had already booked and we just needed instructions on how the toilet works. They asked us: “what is the problem? “Do you not know how a toilet works?”. The final straw was when he said: “I don’t want you here”. And banged the door. And that’s the end. Would never even drive on the same street.

The host is very patient and very welcoming. The place is very beautiful and have a "homey" feeling. The beds are very comfortable and clean. The network for the WIFI is very strong. A very quite place, very peaceful. Not far from the shops to get essentials. Highly recommended.

This looks like an olden goldies museum. They have amazing antiques from furniture to utensils and anything vintage you can think about. It is a bit clattered but a great experience.

Had a booking for 8 nights last week. Checked in on Friday. Was not very happy with set up but decided to make the best of it. Final straw was when I saw a mouse in my room on Saturday afternoon. I notified the owners. They came and put a mouse trap in my room. I left. I asked for a refund. No. Agent said they insisted on cash payment upfront. Now I know why.

Sometimes in your life, you meet people on your journey who , for no particular reason, makes you feel good. That was what happened at 51 on Church. We felt welcome from the first moment. They have a positive vibe and a "home away from home" approach to their guests. They accommodate us on short notice and made us feel home. We traveled with our dog, and even their own dogs were hospitable to our dog. Nothing was too much effort. Their place is remarkable. Thank you for a lovely stay. If you are lucky enough to find this place available for your stay, book it! Don't think twice. The best thing, other than the fabulous decor, lovely hosts, beautiful little garden, pet friendly attitude, fully equipped kitchen and cozy furnishings, is the fact that the owners have done what few other guest house owners have done. They have taken the time and expense to Eskom-proof the place. I barely even notice the loadshedding, the lights stay on, the water works, you're barely aware that the power is off here. That, to me, is worth 10 times what they charge to stay here. Especially traveling for work with two dogs, this place is like a little slice of normality for us. 100% worth every cent.

Did a stop over from Jozi and place was quiet Nd comfortable. Had everything needed in da room.

Loved staying at 51 on Church. People are so friendly and the service was great. Clean rooms. With everything you could need. The owners were so accomodating. Would definitely recommend this guesthouse.

We stayed in the Duck egg Blue flatlet and it was beautifully furnished, I personally loved the antiques furnishings as well as how beautiful the garden was. The nightly rate was also affordable and I would definitely go back.

Absolute rubbish service, I called and Booked a room with them over the phone, called again to confirm price and everything was booked we just needed to arrive and pay. Once we arrived we called to have them open the gate and we were told they were fully booked so essentially our booking was given away cause they are greedy for money. Disgusting.

Absolutely beautiful! This guesthouse is super unique and colorful with the most amazing decor. Truly feels like I am on holiday as opposed to work. There is an abundance of bird life in the morning as you sit outside and drink your coffee. The units are quaint, neat and staff on point.

Electric blankets & extra blankets were available. Rooms were clean and neat. Stuff ladies were always nice and greeted you with a smile. Wifi is available for free. Place felt secure.
