First time here since the pandemic began and I was impressed with the sanitary measures Mandarin took. The cutlery was given in a wrapped bag which was nice. The food was just the way I remembered it was a couple years ago. My buffet experience felt safe and the food was plenty flavourful. I was very happy about my dining experience and can't wait to come again.

This is one of the best all-you-can-eat Canadian Chinese restaurant to experience. We came here for lunch and the buffet had quite a good selection to choose from. You're sure to find something to eat. There were numerous stations such as salad bar, sushi bar, dessert, soup and hot food like noodles, lemon chicken, stir fry, ribs, mussel and many more. They were quick to replenish any empty dishes and the service was great as well. I had forgot to mention that you can eat for free during your birthday week. You just need to sign up and attend with 3 other paying adults. That is a great treat!

I love Mandarin, lots of options even if you are a picky eater, there’s something for you. Tons of parking spots, lovely and friendly staff especially Fonny and Mike in Room F and oh yes love their BOT 🤖 Mandy. Linda in Room B took good care of us too. Also Ashley is such a nice waitress very friendly and caring. She’s an asset Great place you need to visit

Racist, discourteous staff- especially the hostess. We are just an average nice family of mixed races. We love dining and find the Mandarin Buffet very tasty. I had an appalling experience at Mandarin at 1508 Upper James in Hamilton on Saturday night. 1) We have one family member in a wheelchair, another in her eighties. Despite this, the hostess was disrespectful and had us wait half an hour later than our reservation for 18 people.. It was the birthday of family twins and one staff member didn’t want to give us their meals, as a courtesy. I had to address this. I arrived at the restaurant half an hour early, to ensure that we were seated on time. Two of our family have health and mobility restrictions. 2) We were not assigned a waiter for half an hour after we sat, and had to again request water and drinks- we were completely ignored. People around us were receiving great service. 3) We are a mixed race family and we’re treated very poorly ,despite paying $472. For our group- I never received an itemized account of our bill, and was treated brusquely and rudely.

Was invited here by a friend. The buffet offered a decent variety of food for someone who only eats fish and seafood (so no other meat). It's also nice that each dish contains the symbol of the meat (animal) that's used in it which makes it easier to know which dishes I can enjoy eating. The desserts weren't the best, but some were very delicious, especially the butter tart. I would love to see more variety. Overall service and experience were amazing and staff seemed very welcoming.

We returned for the first time since the pandemic, and we were quite impressed with the overall experience. The hostess was welcoming and accommodating. The entire restaurant was very clean and organized. All staff wore masks and were extremely pleasant. A special thanks to our waiter June who made jokes and made it an enjoyable evening.

It was a great meal. We were seated right away and our server saw to our needs for drinks etc. Very attentive and friendly staff!

One of the cleanest place .. Serve Linda knew her job well, she was so nice to us .. Will be returning back soon ..

I have always been a fan of Mandarin and it's many locations in Toronto reminding me of those amazing Las Vegas buffet you find in all 5 stars hotels and could not resist in checking this Hamilton location. This place is similar to all the other Mandarin restaurants with amazing food variety and although I am not a big eater, I always like trying all kind of sweets. The staff, just like at the other restaurants, varies from being nice to being simply abrupt, with limited English in the style I got used to encounter by now, because they were not educated here and simply came for a better paid job, with limited efforts. I always return for the food variety, trying to put behind me the bad human experiences: from food point of view they always get 5 stars.

Wonderful first experience. The service by Jenny was great. She provided one of the best experiences we had at a restaurant. Celebrated a birthday, We got a picture magnet as a souvenir and 1 free meal. The Bellini and mango mango cocktails were 5 stars. There is a large variety of food types, including soups, vegetarian options, sushi, pizza, BBQ , seafood, pork, beef and chicken. 2 dessert tables plus an ice cream bar.

We come every year on our Anniversary, and no matter what we always enjoy every moment here. We were served by one of the kindest servers named Linda who was there throughout the night and always made sure we had everything we needed. Food was amazing, hot, and fresh. Had a great lunch with some friends here, the perfect atmosphere for a nice lunch! The service was amazing, Daniel and Vivian were very attentive and so nice! the food was great!! Would come again!

We would like to commend Ashley who has been accommodating, helpful and kind during our entire dinner celebration. She always checks on us and made us feel comfortable. We will surely comeback. The entire Mandarin Hamilton team so warm and welcoming.

First visit 2022- takeout PHOTO 1-Maple cheesecake is delicious. Not too sweet just right amount of sweetness. PHOTO 2- COMBO B Delish! Second visit 2022-dine in The best Thanksgiving lunch ever!. Variety of foods are fresh, savory and delicious. Staff were very attentive, kind courteous. Restaurant very clean. Fairly priced. Looking forward to visiting again in the future. They honor seniors by giving them 20% discount. Remember to call for reservations since the place gets booked very fast!

This was yummy! This is my second time here and I would totally come again. The dessert stall had the BEST sweets! My waiter today was Jenny and she was extremely nice and came to check on us often. If you’re looking for somewhere to spend your wallet on, this is the place, NOT genshin impact.

Everything was so good! We came during the moon festival event, and I am so happy with the service, the food, the atmosphere. Good place to come to for families and just a nice evening out with your friends ☺️

It’s been awhile since we've been to the Mandarin, but it was good to be back. The food was delicious. The desserts seemed improved from when we were there last. The chocolate mousse cake melted in your mouth-mmm! Their service was great too. Helen was bubbly and kind. We were near an outside door so I was a bit cold, but the our server warmed up the room with her cheerful disposition. An enjoyable way to spend a cold and snowy eve.

I came here with family for my birthday and it was an awesome time from start to finish! Alex was our server, and he was timely, kind, and always checked in! Vivian joined in our service since we were a larger group & she was so friendly and informative. She educated us on some Chinese tradition, language, and so much more! I got a free birthday picture that was printed, I ate for free with a birthday coupon, and she sang me happy birthday and gave me a cupcake lol. It was awesome! Definitely recommend & don't leave without trying the mango pudding, rice pudding, crème brûlée, and the waffles lol! Ps. Thanks for my fortune cookie, it was a nice way to end my birthday festivities 🤗🎉🎂

5/5 for a Mandarin Buffet, hadn't been to one in years but had a great experience. Lots of great options classics like BBQ ribs and chicken wings but they also had chicken dumplings, salmon belly, Salmon sashimi, California rolls fried shrimps, mussels, and since it was close to Thanksgiving they offered huge rib eye steaks, turkey and gravy when I came around in October. Food was great overall for the quantities and prices.

First time in this location. Lots of table, fast service. Young was our server and she did great. She was prompt and took great care of us. Food was nice, good quality and way more options than other Mandarins. The live BBQ section was great. Will come again.

Linda was the best server we ever had she was so sweet and helpful we will definitely be back and hope we have her as our waitress again!!

Tingman and Noel were great servers. The food was appetizing and flavourful to satisfy multiple palettes. Awesome atmosphere. Will definitely go back again.

Excellent service and good ambiance as usual, and I was pleasantly surprised to see disposable gloves available for guests (which I used to used to get my food), as well as bottles of sanitizer around, but some disappointments. We went for thanksgiving dinner and I was looking forward to some turkey. When I asked for some turkey, the server used tongs to put some on my plate. When I got back to the table I saw it was mostly fat and some dried up meat. It was just a mess of this and that. Second, the salmon, which I usually love, was not good today (I even went twice to give it a second chance). There are some good dishes there, and that that will let you down (like the lemon chicken-can hardly taste lemon and inside is just dried up chicken). Finally, the chocolate fudge cake, which looked delicious, was so stale and dry. I told the server and she said it is because they are frozen. Also, if they read this-their sign says cherry cheesecake (and has said that for years) but it's strawberry cheesecake! On a positive note, little ones enjoyed noodles, pizza and ice cream. They missed the cotton candy though. It is pricey, so we can't go often, but we'll go back in time.

All five starts, amazing experience especially for my first time! Jenny our server was great!! So nice.
