What you get for $75.71 Pork intestines are so hard to find in Toronto, and very challenging to cook at home. It was easy to chew and insides were full - pretty delicious! On the other hand, the beef was very dry and had bit of blood smell.. Makgulli is completely not my taste. The ones I usually have taste more like sprite but this one is super sour. Ordered over the phone - she was okay but didn't ask if I want delivery or not, felt very rushed It was okay for one time order

This is my favourite restaurant when I’m craving some Korean home cooking. Even though we live half an hour away, we’re always happy to make the trip. I highly recommend the kkanpunggi (fried chicken), japchae, bulgogi and kimchi pancakes, although you can’t go wrong with their Korean BBQ offerings. (Side note: The owners must have upgraded their ventilation system, as my hair and clothes don’t smell after leaving.😄) Service is friendly and efficient, and I’m always happy to support this family restaurant. I hope they stick around for the long haul!

Came here with my family and ordered the pork bone hotpot, tteokbokki, and fried chicken. The food came with sides dishes that were unlimited refills. Everything tasted great here. The fried chicken was more like the Chinese dish crispy sweet and sour pork. The meal came out to be a little over $100 but for 4 people, we were stuffed.

I ordered takeout from the restaurant and the food was nicely packaged and was ready quickly! The portions were large and the appetizers were tasty. The inside of the store was clean and they even checked my temperature for contact tracing - very thorough and responsible.

I came here on a Tuesday evening with my family. It wasn't too busy when we arrived so we were seated fairly quickly. Cho Won is a super friendly family owned business which is hidden from the main street of Yonge St. The entrance is off to a smaller street on Drewry Ave and it has free parking in front of the restaurant. We ordered the Mandoo Jungol which is a dumpling soup with vegetables in hot pot. As with a typical Korean hot pot, it is loaded with a variety of ingredients such as tofu, mushrooms and green vegetables. The dumplings was very filling and filled with deliciousness. There were no spiciness added to this jungol which are perfect for those individuals who are non-spicy lovers. We ended up ordering an extra noodle because there wasn't enough but the portion size is good for two people. Unfortunately, it doesn't include rice. There are other Korean hot pot places that do include rice. It comes with side dishes (banchan) that include tofu, spicy cucumber salad, kimchi, bean sprouts, soy braised peanuts and braised potatoes. These 6 side dishes can be refillable so feel free to eat as much as your heart's content. Our family loved the dumpling hot pot more because it was easier on our weight (after the fact) and tasted healthier. For the price it was listed at ($38.99), I would say it was worth it and would recommend giving this a try 👍. Overall, the service was friendly and they had a button to call the server over. I definitely would come again to try out their Korean BBQ experience.

We came pretty late near closing time and they still served us. Been coming here for years, and must say that the service and food is always amazing. The kampongi chicken is so good you need to try it

If it weren't for the other Korean restaurants being closed on Tuesdays, I might not have stumbled across this establishment. On the outside, it just seems like your typical Korean restaurant but wow, their menu is HUGE. The staff here aren't very fluent in English, which is a quiet confirmation that this place is going to be good (lol). Anyhow, a lot of their dishes for sharing are huge, we had to request for something small that would be suitable for 2 people. Some tables are set up for kbbq, but we only wanted something simple. I've never had the Al Tang (spicy pollock roe stew), so when the waitress recommended it, I was like ....woah lol. They packed it with tons of roe and personally, I don't think everyone will like it (for the rough and funny texture), definitely something new for me. The portions for all their dishes are pretty large, and at $25/person, we were definitely well fed. We even packed some food home for lunch. I wasn't as impressed by the side dishes, where are my favourite sweet potatoes and seaweed? Their service was pretty good, just remember to press the bell behind you to get their attention. This place deserves a solid 3.5 stars, but giving them that extra push for having good customer service and large portions :)

We got here to order beef intestine. To get sitting at the BBQ table (the one with the grill), you have to order minimum 2 portions, so it costs at least $40 if you want to eat the intestine :( But it did come with a soybean soup, several side dishes, no rice though. Over all, the food was okay. But the lady who served us were so nice, she asked if we knew how to enjoy Korean BBQ and taught us, super friendly! I’ll recommend this place if you want to truly enjoy a good customer service. P.s: I don’t know if it’s just us but we drank tons of water at night after that meal.

My friends and I just decided to go in here because we were around the area. It was so empty but went in anyways. I got the tofu stew (soondoboo) and it tasted sour and tofu was very rubbery… I thought it was just me so I asked my friends to try it as well but they all agreed. idk how they would charge $20 for something and make it this tasteless. I initially felt bad that they had no customers but I understood why. There are so many other Korean restaurants that taste much better in north York. Pay for something that you’ll enjoy folks.

I use to LOVE coming here before the renovations. The prices were reasonable and food was delicious but after the renovations (this was way before the recent inflation) the prices on everything went so high especially on my most favourite dish chicken kanpoongi!! Its soo expensive to buy that dish now! Not fair. Id love to come back but the high price turns me away.

My friend and I visited this restaurant around a week ago in an afternoon. We were hungry and craving delicious and authentic Korean food, so we decided to visit this restaurant. My friend told me she loves this restaurant and often goes here for a good meal. That being said, this was my first time trying this restaurant. However, unfortunately, the food is not that great. Plus we didn't even finish our food yet, but the server came up to our table and handed us the bill and the card machine. And we looked around the restaurant, there was only one table (except us) occupied, and no wait line in/outside of the restaurant. I genuinely would like to know why this happened. Maybe the kitchen is busy? Or was it about to close before the stated close time? I honestly have no idea. It was such a disappointing experience. I always love visiting Korean restaurants because of their welcoming service and, of course, the food. But this one, I just feel confused and disappointed 😞 ...

The bibimbap was delicious and satisfying. I found it to be the perfect amount for me... The presentation was also great. Unfortunately, I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic. It was the perfect dinner on a chilly night. We ordered from Uber eats without an issue. I didn't try it but my daughter said the pork bone soup was also great! 🙌

Had a wonderful lunch in this restaurant. We ordered 육개장 (Yook Kae Jang) and Fried Chicken. The food was really delicious and homey. Felt comforted after eating their food. The flavors were amazing, and the service was excellent. We'll definitely be returning for more delicious meals. Highly recommended! 🍽️👌😊

Found this place really comforting. The atmosphere and the vibes. Plus older people and families eating here says a lot about how authentic the food is. 육개장 (Yook Kae Jang) and the fried chicken, it was so good!! And the portions!! A Hearty meal. Especially in this weather ❤️ The staff are friendly and helpful as well. Definitely will be back to try other dishes.

A little pricey, but food is good. I wouldn’t recommend the sweet and sour chicken. The pork seems to be more meaty

Amazing Korean restaurant, if you want to try Korean food, this is the place 🙂 I was really happy with the excellent service provided by the staff. Table has call button that's really great!

Long time customer here. We loved their dishes as well as BBQ. Unfortunately, when I had their BBQ last time, they changed their policy that only 1 lettuce wrap was included. it became chargeable 2+ wrap. Such practice is not common in Toronto Korean restaurants. I am sadly to say goodbye to their BBQ. Please let me know if they revert this practice.

I'll be honest, I only order one item from this place: kkanpunggi, spicy garlic fried chicken. It's not cheap, but the portion is generous for family meal. Even an hour after takeout, the chicken was still tasty and not soggy (imagine how it would have been if I ate it in the restaurant right away). This food should be their primary offering, and everyone should get a taste.
