It's a quite if not small shopping center. Quite a few women's shops for clothing, sadly not that great for men's clothing. Leads out to the banking area and small market place Infront of the church. There are a few stalls inside the center selling handbags and trinkets along with huge fruit & veg stall. Parking is free and the large bank of toilets are clean with cleaning lady generally on site. Greggs and Don Miller's face each other and myriad of chemist & toiletry shops including Boots & Superdrug. Nice places to sit with younger children with small play areas to keep them occupied.

I like this shopping centre, It’s always lovely and clean and has all the basic shops you need for household goods and little cheap stuff to keep the kids happy. Love having a costa in the centre and people watching. My biggest gripe with this centre is it’s always freezing in the winter, They never seem to put the heating on. Also don’t like how many drunks they just allow to sit on the benches outside the centre, I know they probably don’t have many powers over moving them along but it is off putting and my final gripe is people smoking in the entrance. Good centre though for basic needs.

Inside of Swansgate is lovely. A great verity of shops to visit, and is very festive at Christmas time! However, outside around Swansgate, can be VERY uncomfortable. There has been a number of people around who don't look friendly at all and sometimes in groups. This ain't the first time I've seen these sort of people, and cameras and police on patrol around and near the area would make Swansgate feel more safer.

Single most depressing part of wellingborough. Shame really because what was once a brilliantly social, healty business filled, budding place to go. Is now dead. Maybe 4 shops open in the entire centre. You have boots. CeX ,Wilkinsons & home bargains. The rest are 3rd party mobile phone accessory shops & mobile phone network shops. Everything is closing down. It's dirty. Decor is stuck in the 90s & the staff. Especially the security, they make 0 effort to 'Secure' the place & spend the days either huddled in groups of 5+ (to which why the hell do you need that much security for 4 shops) or attempting to gawk & chat up the female passers-by shoppers. The place is disgusting.

Unfortunately, because the centre has lost at least 5 big companies, it is being run down. People are smoking outside under a 'No Smoking' sign. Not very welcoming.

A few empty shops lifts to the car park are often out of action I'm beginning to wonder what the next ten years will bring potentially a really run down shopping centre with hardly any shops in at all but on the plus side the shops I visited the staff was great polite and friendly and I got what I needed

The Swansgate Shopping Centre in Wellingborough does look like it's very dated these days with a number of shops being shut down. It does have good toilets though but they do cost 20p to get access to. If you have a RADAR key it's free and they do have some decent shops there but it's not anywhere I would go out of my way to visit.

It's good, not a massive amount in there, though. Enough if you want to do a bit of a weekly food shop with places like Iceland there or just do some Christmas shopping with numerous shops to go to. It's nothing special, but does the job.

I recently visited the Swansgate Shopping Centre in Wellingborough over the weekend. The centre boasts a good number of shops, making it a convenient one-stop destination for various shopping needs. The variety of shops is quite impressive, catering to a wide range of interests and needs. Whether you're looking for fashion, electronics, or everyday essentials, you're likely to find a shop that suits your requirements. The centre was bustling with activity, adding to the lively atmosphere. It was great to see so many people out and about, enjoying their weekend shopping. However, despite the number of shops available, I felt that there could be more. Adding a few more shops could enhance the shopping experience and provide even more options for visitors. The layout of the centre is well-planned, making it easy to navigate from one shop to another. This is particularly helpful during busy times, as it allows for a smooth and efficient shopping experience. In conclusion, my visit to the Swansgate Shopping Centre was largely positive. It's a great place for a weekend shopping spree with plenty of shops available. However, the addition of more shops could further improve the shopping experience.

I think the shopping centre is in decline toilets shut down at times not helped by public toilet closed at same time. Lifts not working all shut off . Trolley stands removed from car park. Only reason to go there is for light shopping and the fact that car park is free. Always amazed when passing by at night cos the car park is closed but lit up like a Xmas tree. Someone has money to burn. I suppose it helps to shut lifts down and close toilets.

Visited The Card Factory for Mothers Day stuff. Loadsa stock to choose from and Way cheaper than Clinton Cards without sacrificing any quality. Plus there's a fantastic fruit & veg stall in here. Excellent choice and very reasonable prices

This is actually a decent shopping centre. It's not massive but has a good amount of shops of different varieties all under one roof, parking is free as well which is always a bonus! I'd happily go here again.

Always clean in the centre. Nice we can sit down now as some of us are old or have mobility issues. Friendly staff...it has everything I need in there

Free parking, light and airy with plenty of space. Pretty clean and tidy too, with nice loos freely available. Lots of shops still trading, I don't think I saw an empty lot.

A shadow of its former self. Sadly the "Town Council" don't seem to be doing much to revitalise The Town and neither the Shopping Centre. It used to be a vibrant, atmospheric place but now has an almost eerie quietness and dullness about it. Shame.

Nice little shopping centre, nice park nearby with a Morrisons so you can get some lunch too! There's indoor and outdoor shops.

Nice and clean. The car park is big and free of charge for day parking. Please note, there is a release charge for parking cars overnight.

In my opinion, swansgate shopping centre deserves more than 5 stars because of the good stores, prices and cleanness.

Great little shopping centre with everything you need. Very clean and tidy, plenty of staff to help you and to keep the place safe as well. Free parking at the back that joins on to it with lifts and also stairs.

Good shops, very warm staff in all of the shops. Needs investment from shareholders. Facial update would do this good shopping centre a world of good. Parking areas are way below standard. Little bit greasy. Suggest better homes for the homeless that sleep there, there accommodation seems diabolical and in complete disarray. Greedy bloodsucking supportes housing milking the public purse out, again. Go Wellingborough

Clean with nobody no loitering, pity there are a few vacant shop spaces now, hopefully something decent will fill the spaces in quick time 👍🏼

Just like any other shopping centre really ! Good if you want a birthday card, or mobile phone !

  • 5/5 Stanley A. 1 year ago on Google
Surprised how well organized it was, seating has been removed and one way system in operation, which most people were sticking too. First time going into town for over a year and was pleasantly surprised, it was mid week so might be different at weekend. Well done everybody. Still good 👍

Accessible shopping centre including shops with good access the men’s accessible toilet is a bit small, no changing places toilet for those with more complex disability.

  • 5/5 Dan H. 1 year ago on Google
Free parking, but the spaces were clearly painted with very small cars in mind. Nice little shopping centre and well worth a visit.

Pretty run down with a poor selection of shops compared to a few years ago
