We
made
reservations
in
advance
and
stayed
after
about
300
miles
of
leaving
Frankfort,
Germany
!
Excellent
place
to
stay
in
a
small
quiet
town!
Immediately
upon
arrival
in
early
evening,
there
were
people
sitting
in
beautiful
outdoor
furniture
under
huge
trees!
There
was
dinning
tables
with
huge
canopy
style
umbrellas
on
a
concrete
patio
lined
with
huge
potted
trees.
We
admired
the
scenery
and
made
a
quick
decision
to
join
the
other
guests,
after
checking
in
and
before
dinner
They
have
an
open
bar
built
between
garden
and
outdoor
dinning.
It
was
so
inviting!!
These
rooms
were
small
but
accommodated
us
perfectly!
With
twin
beds,
big
closets,
a
fridge,
desk
and
chair,
large
full-length
wall
mirror,
hair
dryer,
lots
of
wall
outlets,
constant
hot
water,
etc
.
During
check-in,
we
were
givien
a
room
on
an
upper
floor
level,
with
no
elevator
to
accommodate,
once
we
explained
my
health
condition,
without
any
questions,
we
were
moved
to
a
ground
floor
which
was
extremely
thoughtful!
All
employees
were
exceptionally
polite
and
helpful.
All
spoke
English
as
a
second
language.
Right
after
we
received
our
drinks,
it
began
to
rain!
We
didn't
allow
the
rain
to
ruin
our
evening,
thus
went
to
shelter,
straight
to
their
restaurant!
The
decor
reminded
me
of
a
casual
European
1950's
era!
Choices
to
sit
were
booths
or
tables.with
a
vase
of
fresh
flowers
and
lit
candles!
We
ordered
from
their
menu
.
Each
ordered
a
different
meal
with
thoughts
to
share.
Taking
our
time
and
not
being
rushed,
this
was
an
enjoyable
evening
with
great
food,
beer
and
wine.
What
an
Excellent
Guest
house
to
visit
when
on
a
road
trip.
After
devouring
a
delicious
buffet
breakfast,
we
toured
the
gardens
which
was
quite
pleasant.
Taking
a
stroll
around
this
quaint
town
was
terrific.
After
returning
to
Gasthof
Maxlhald,
it
was
time
to
load
up
and
get
back
on
the
road
again!
