This is a review for the Christmas lights. They are terrible this year (2023). Nothing like last yearโ€™s great light display. Weird & small almost like a local Halloween thing. No guides as advertised. Avoid!

Another review for the 2023 Christmas Lights: This is not suitable for children, no 'Christmas' Lights. There is a story about Queen Elizabeth I which is partly guided but overall incredibly disappointing and not at all festive. We had to leave the tour of the Palace as our children were bored. Wish we hadn't gone :(

It is a very cold day after Xmas and a few shops are open. It is really nice to walk in and visit the outside and the parking is just at the skirts of the entrance at the top of the village

Hatfield Park is a perfect place for woodland walks, open countryside for picnics, bird watching, ancient trees and wild plants and shrubs, there are 3 different lengths of circular walks, yellow (short walk), Blue (medium walk) and red Long walk) all superbly signposted throughout, you'll experience beautiful woodlands, scenic open countryside and a beautiful lake, supporting all range of wildlife, swans, coots etc and water lillies. A superb day out for everyone and every age group.

Well organised Michael Buble concert. Parking was easy once in. The access road in and out was very narrow, but they seemed to be allowing traffic in both directions which was a mistake! Leaving at the end was a bit like wacky races, but the parking staff soon got a handle on it. Great day.

The birthplace of Elizabethan Tudor England. The guided tour of the Old Palace is highly recommended, bringing the place and history to life. Gardens were beautiful in June too.

Superb piece of heritage, worth the entrance fee. Guides are excellent but be aware there are a lot of steps to negotiate. The food court is vrry good and not expensive expensive.

We attended during the October half term. We did the yellow trail woodland walk around the park. Lots of Halloween props and a pumpkin hunt. They also have a trailer ride that runs on the hour that takes you all across the park, woodland and over the Broadwater. We were lucky enough on the day to walk through a period set being filmed for Amazon Prime.

Lovely Park land with fantastic views. The Craft fair was well organized. Friendly people the toilets were spotless. 2 men were keeping them clean all day. I can highly recomend Hatfield House.

Came here on the bank holiday for a day trip and it's beautiful . We did the woodland walk which was about an hour and a half and was lovely and peaceful. Lovely restaurant in the stables area along with a numbers of shops which were nice to potter around in. Cost about ยฃ10 each to do the woodland walk and then walk around the gardens We didn't do the house this time but even without the house it's a lovely day trip

We enjoyed the Living Crafts Art event at Hatfield Park between 5th and 8th May 2023. The Living Crafts event offered fantastic experience on creating artwork and craft projects. A lot of handmade unique products from individual artists and craft people. Visitors can join a workshop to learn a new skill. Itโ€™s a absolutely amazing experience!

Itโ€™s a nice place to see but most parts were closed during our visit. So be sure if those places are open or not if you want to see all parts. And during hot weather itโ€™s a bit challenging to wander around. Bring your bottle of water and a hat or even an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun light.

A little expensive but a great place to walk the dog and the wooded areas are fab in Autumn. Different walks are mapped out on the guide. A great place for a day or afternoon outing.

Gorgeous grounds, especially the gardens, and especially at this time of year when there's something new flowering all the time.

Great day out. Fascinating house. Main restaurant not cheap - ยฃ3.50 for quite a small piece of Millionaire Shortbread - but good quality. On our woodland walk there was no signpost indicating where to turn left into Elephant Dell, so we missed it

I am so proud to live within walking distance of this beautiful piece of history. If it's good enough for Queen Victoria it's good enough for me :) You can park for free and visit the most gorgeous place for a drink and wander around some lovely little boutique shops for custom jewellery etc. If you're feeling adventurous you can also pay ยฃ60 for a family of 4 and wander through immaculate gardens to the main house. Truly stunning, especially if you love royalty and history. A Really lovely place. 5 stars

Barnet Car Club hold an Annual Car Show the second Sunday in September and we went along with our Morris Minor convertible. I had a walk in the grounds. It is an interesting garden with unusual fruit trees and wildflowers.

Went to a firework competition, paid ยฃ30 for a parking spot, to get a worse view than if we hadn't bothered as the lower display was obscured by other cars. The fireworks were good, the drone display was too low and couldn't see it properly over the bank of toilets (of which there were too few. Won't go again.

Went for the light display at Christmas. Was lovely especially for my 3 under 10 year olds. Advise to wear wellies in the winter as the ground was quite mucky.

Went to Battle Proms, was fantastic. Just a shame it was windy so the red devil's and spitfires couldn't do their things. But the rest of the show was Incredible. The young player of the year for the French horn was truly magnificent. And I loved the loan piper. Be there next year for an amazing experience. Oh yes, and we came away with a magnificent kite dragon ๐Ÿ‰.

Christmas lights at Hatfield house were wonderful for the family. Beautiful to see, great music, lots of facilities and food stalls that also catered for vegans. Looking forward to going again next year!

A great park with really good walkways, unbelievable trees and nature, and interesting stories. Definitely worth the price. You could spend days here. I had to deduct one star due to the missing benches. There are a few benches around the entrance to the park, but if you go for a walk there is not a single bench around. Would have been really helpful for my 79 year old mother. I do believe there is enough space to place a few benches along the walkways.

The grounds of Hatfield Park are vast but well worth walking around, down to the river and the tree where Queen Elizabeth the first sat when she was told she was queen of England.

A peaceful and beautiful park for people and family to enjoy. It was a beautiful day and we get to enjoy a nice breeze under the sun. The trees are majestic and beautiful.

Hatfield house is stunningly beautiful the staff are very knowledgeable and interesting especially the lady Sue in the library could have listened to her forever. The grounds , gardens are expansive. You will need more than one visit for this absolute gem.
