Good 'farm shop' style shop with good butcher and delicatessen sections. A little let down by a mediocre café 🤷🏻‍♂️ UPDATE: I really enjoyed my last visit here (two days ago). The 'farm shop' is fabulous with a great product range of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a wide range of luxury pantry products. And then there are the delicatessen counters. The butcher's counter offers a terrific selection of fresh meat and sausages as well as some delicious freshly made pies and pasties. Moving on to the café, the improvement from my last visit was dramatic. Really friendly, helpful staff serving delicious cakes and coffee. As a result I am uplifting my rating to four stars. Well done folks!

Impressive place with a various indoor and outdoor plants. There are also a lot of other gardening stuff to buy, like pots, tools and fertilizers. Food shop has a big variety of foods from different brands. Prices are not low but you get high quality products and plants.

Saturday lunchtime... Not too busy. Sat outside and had delicious prawn sandwich, cakes and coffees. Service was very good and didn't wait long for food. Great selection of plants and Christmas bits. If you arrive at a busy time expect it to be busy!

The check out is always so slow. The staff aren't particularly friendly or professional. The managers and owners are distant and don't appear at all interested in the way their staff work, and the stock is prohibitively expensive for standard items. I wouldn't mind if the checkout staff weren't so slow and didn't seem so uninterested in serving the customer. I have been a resident of Brookmans Park, and customer of the Dutch Nursery for 60 years and I've seen it drop in standards, and professional stock growing ever since Mr Henn ceased running the business. I sincerely apologise if this review appears harsh, the management are more than welcome to contact me. However, unfortunately, the Dutch Nursery has become a generic Garden Centre.

Firstly the good bits. Food is good and staff are friendly. But the processes in the cafe need work. There were not enough table numbers for the number of tables so the guy clearing the tables kept having to ask if people had received all their food. Surely there must be a printer in the building to make some more table numbers. The prices of the fruit and veg are massively overpriced. We always like to support this kind of business but this kind of price cant be justified in a cost of living crisis.

Previously I would have given five stars to the cafe. Now sadly 3 as you have to stand waiting for your beverage and food which can take a long time. When asked if this could be brought to the table we were shocked to be told we have to pay extra for this service. The food is good but prices are high and we are so disappointed with the service. We attend often as a family with members in their eighties, sixties and younger and I’m sorry but we are sad to say say that after years of loyal custom we are considering finding another venue for our social time.

Nothing to do with the garden center, just to let people no do not book the coach trips from there, it is actually the owners son that arranges them RICHARD HENN, my elderly mother and her friend had a rubbish time, cost £70, also was meant to be a ploughmans lunch and it turned out to be a ham sandwich and a packet of crisps, i have had a conversation with him by email asking him for a refund but he's refusing.... Just letting you all know don't bother booking waste of money!!!!!

Amazing customer service and a fantastic selection of products, staff went out of their way to find what we were after, even though it was an extremely hot day they gave great service with a smile even offering us bottles of cold water while we waited. i have visited lots of garden centres throughout our home project and this is by far the best service i have received, this garden centre has lots of stock at great prices. i would recommend this little gem to anyone looking for great products at a great price with amazing customer service given with a smile.

Great garden centre with a large selection of good quality plants. They also do some lovely pots at good prices. Indoors there is a selection of garden furniture and other items. There is a restaurant for refreshments after shopping . . . if you have any money left.

Love the deli! There is a food section, gift section, gardening area, outdoor plants and cafe. Small zone in cafe is dog friendly.

Terrible experience as they are very selective on what there server customers, I wanted chips with my breakfast and they said they don’t serve until a certain time but then serve other customers chips

Living near by the Dutch Nursery I’ve been here many times. Love the quality of the produce and the deli counter. However, the service in the cafe has got slower and slower. I had breakfast today, lots of staff running around but it seemed chaotic, long wait to place order even though I was second in line, and nearly 30 min wait for food. You have a great product but you need someone to help you organise your team and be more efficient. After years of coming here I’m now thinking I may use a different cafe because it takes too long. Shame as the food is always tasty.

We visited the greengrocer and butcher. Both have excellent quality fresh food and the butcher provides local meat which is excellent. However, decided to stop for a quick lunch in the cafe. Much on the menu was finished so I just ordered soup, my partner had a tuna melt toastie. We fortunately had a coffee which we took to the table. We then had to wait nearly an hour for our lunch to arrive. The couple next to us who were there first gave up and got there money back. Will now think twice about going back to the cafe.

Love this place and has a cafe. It's not the cheapest for regular shopping. Not too keen on their Thai range frozen foods because they aren't authentic but I'll be generous with 5 stars as I rarely buy frozen versions of ready meals from anywhere.

Very similar to Pearce's Farm Shop in Buntingford. Popped in for a bit of lunch and a drink. Lovely cafe with good customer service. Has a garden centre, gift and food shop. Nice place to visit if you are that way.

Always a good place to go to for lunch, fresh food, gifts and plants. We really can't fault it.

Great garden centre, lovely gift shops, nice cafe staff but cold food at the cafe and often have staff shortage in kitchen/ cafe and a very reduced menu. Had to wait 15 mins for a heated up meal after I returned it. Son was given incorrect sandwich, they had charged extra for the additional cheese which was not added.Unfortunatley the standard of the food and high prices for poor food let the whole garden centre down. However, nice friendly people in the cafe serving is very appreciated. But will go else where as its the 3rd time ive been there, and twice, food was expensive but stone cold.

Cheese and pies to die for and thats before you get to the garden section. Superb displays of all types of indoor and outdoor plants

Great produce in farm shop, meat, veg, fruit and preserves prices are on the high side. Garden centre is average for what is available for this time of year but also pricy. Cafe very busy and the staff not knowledgeable as to what is available on the menu and very little advertised, again slightly expensive. Service wasn't great either. Tables not cleaned either after customers leave.
