PHENOMENAL CONCEPT! However, lackluster experience so far. I will update if/when I visit and the experience is improved. I’ll share what drives my rating and feelings below. 1. Parking is bad. That aren’t a lot of spaces allocated to KRATS at the moment. 2. KRATE is essentially an enclosed open are where you find a number of different shops. You park and then walk in the open air shop area. There has to be a draw other than some food places. For me, right now it’s comparable to a food truck park or a poor attempt at an Amarture Works concept. 3. Right, there are mainly food places. There is one womens clothing boutique shop, a wonderful flower shop, a cigar bar, and a couple of other non-food places, but there’s mainly food. I mean there are literally two different coffee shops 20 feet apart … at least one will crash and burn. 4. Unlike an Armature Works, there’s nothing to keep a visitor’s attention. I don’t want to drive, park, and walk into the shop area for just a meal if I have no other reason to be there. They need to have constant live music or create some other draw, e.g. other unique non-food shops or some other entertainment experience. At Armature Works, you can eat, walk the river walk, see live entertainment, and people watch. Here, it’s just blah. At a food truck park, at least it’s an easy in and out and they pretend to be anything more. 5. Again, I love the concept and once you’ve walked into the shop area it tries to be inviting. The graphics are great, and it looks pretty enough. There’s just a lot missing to make it a draw for me personally and I suspect many others as well.

What a unique place. If it was not that hot I would take my laptop and work all day outside in this place. You have manygood food restaurants and coffee shops and a nice environment to spend your day!

So many places to eat. Some of the shops were not open but were.coming soon. Wish there was a little bit more coverage from the sun but overall a great place. Lots of restaurants did have spots to eat inside and umbrellas to eat outside.

It's a great food adventure that's worthy of a drive from Brandon/Valrico. A unique container park concept that I think is way better than Channelside (Sparkman Wharf). It's true that you don't have the view of the bay, but Krate at the Grove offers so much more. It has something for everyone. Do you like tasting a little of everything? Then this is the place for you. There are foods from countries and regions all around the world such as Asian, Puerto Rican, Peruvian, Cuban, Jamaican, French, Greek, Mexican, Hawaiian, Venezuelan, and Mediterranean. They have ice cream, fruit paletas, baked goods, fried foods, charcuterie, pizza, hot dogs, salad, cocktails, candy, cigars, beer, and so much more. There are some boutique type shops in between but I wouldn't say it's a good shopping venue yet. If you want to shop, then you can walk across the parking lot to the Grove which has all kinds of shopping. I mean, it's all right there. Parking is free, and there is plenty of parking spaces. There are some pros and cons. Many businesses aren't open until after 1pm (some even later than that). There were a few places open during my morning visit. It was also a good time to take in the local art while it's cool and quiet. I think that was my favorite part of this visit aside from having a pastry at Bakery-X in a warm and inviting atmosphere. You can always retreat to World Market and come back later to visit more shops that have opened for business. Just check the hours before your visit. Indoor seating in some of these restaurants are limited. I'm hearing that most people go there in the evening when there are events scheduled. Hence, they have lots of outdoor seating for entertainment. I think the one disappointment for me was that Blush Champagne Bar doesn't open until 1pm. I'll have to go back again real soon to try it. It's going to take many more visits to taste my way through it all. There are new restaurants opening up soon as well. It's really an exciting place to be!

The concept of the small shops and restaurants is really inventive and charming. The whole area is organized well; just wish the surroundings music wasn’t so loud everywhere and the bathrooms were clean.

First time here. Went on a double date to celebrate Valentine's day weekend. The area is beautiful and clean with a lot of restaurants and shops. Tons of lovely paintings and sculptures, perfect for photo opportunities. There is also an outdoor stage concert area which I thought was a great touch. Last but not least if you decide to have a cocktail you are allowed to walk with it on the entire Krate property. All in all very pleasant experience and will be returning!

KRATE was an awesome experience it had plethora of eateries and unique small businesses. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because they really should have awnings and more shade. Florida is so hot not sure why people always have so many outdoor places and not enough shade. But overall such a unique and fun experience

The concept is amazing! I love that they have a variety of different shops and food options. 😋 I've been to multiple of the little shops but my faves are the refillery, the tattoo shop, and the little metaphysical shop. I love that they have live music and a playground here too.

This complex is truly incredible! Besides a few obvious issues with parking, which will probably be fixed in due time, they have created the perfect small business showcase at the Grove. Not all businesses are open yet, but many are, and they are all both unique and spectacular in their own right. To my delight, there is also a concert area, a shaded playground area, clean air-conditioned restrooms, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Yummy drinks and live music. I give them a 4/5 or 7.5/10 because it can be an enjoyable experience but there isn't usually much to do besides shopping and eating. I still think it is worth trying out! It is next to a nice movie theater so if you do both it can be a really fun experience!

Krate is a trendy area in Wesley Chapel. It is a mini shopping and dining area made of containers. The area is full of restaurants and shops for people to enjoy. The streets are full of excitement and music. There is an area for kids. Recommend Krate.

I'm so glad they added this location to our town! They frequently host events with live music and shows, I recommend coming on a Friday or Saturday night for date night. :) They're very dog friendly which is a huge plus for me. I love taking Teddy around and just browsing the shops and restaurants.

This was such an interesting place. It was our first visit and we arrived at 8:00. The place was so full of energy and excitement. It is a unique setting with tiny shops in built out shopping containers (Krates). The variety of vendors is amazing. There are food vendors of almost every nationality packed into one tiny location. I saw A Ramen store next to Mediterranean/Middle Eastern. Shake a Salad which was next to a store with everything Fried. Cuban food, Greek hookah lounge, bakery, ice cream, candy shop, cigar lounge, the list goes on. Each restaurant had its own patio area which made seating perfect on a beautiful evening. They even have a stage for live entertainment although no one was playing tonight several store front were playing their own music and folks were dancing. They also have small pop up vendors under tents. One even had a snow machine going selling hot drinks and baked goods. Another was selling cute succulents in tiny handmade vessels that were adorable. This is a perfect place to go on a casual outing or date night and just hangs out. There were several wine shops with little tables and plenty of little boutique stores to browse through. Such an up beat and fun place to visit.

Crates set up along the back of The Grove plaza. It's a neat little set up with a playground for kids and plenty of seating all over the place. We wanted to walk the perimeter to get a feel of what our options were and noticed it was hard to walk because there was no clear walking path. Some shops had seating blocking what could be a walking path. Otherwise there's plenty of options for everyone to be satisfied. The seating being outdoors in this Florida heat is another negative. Unless you go late when it cools down it's not enjoyable to go eat.

Great venue with the use of shipping containers. There were lots of great options to dine and activities for families. I was there during the day but can see it being a great place to hang out in the evening. Looking forward to going back and trying more dining options. The seating was very comfortable, too.

Road Trip Saturday. Went for a drive to check out the new Krate addition to a mall in Wesley Chapel. All the small stores are mostly first time small business owners. There little shops are made from shipping containers, there are 46 of them there. Most are food of some type. The place is very clean, and every shop we went into the owners or workers was very friendly. All the containers are hand painted with real paint, not some wrap job. The colors are bright but easy on the eyes. They have a really nice stage area where they have live entertainment. I'd say it well worth the visit if your in the area, or even a day trip to go and see. It's right off I-75 at the 279 exit. Easy to find and get to.

Lovely experience. Great murals on the krates. Great area to just walk, immersed in the ambiance, and satisfy your taste buds. Eclectic music booming from Latin rhythms, country, rock,r n b. Great ambiance . Now a major minus is that the businesses close early. It's summer. They should open late and close late to take advantage of the cool breezes in the evening which would encourage more sales. Greatly Appreciate Ato fresh delicious and healthy selections and Yummy beautiful cheese box which is pictured below.
