I’ve
been
using
this
office
for
many
years.
Since
the
practice
was
sold
in
the
last
couple
of
years,
while
many
of
the
same
practitioners
are
still
there,
there
has
been
a
marked
change
in
the
services
of
the
most
important
person
a
business
has:
the
customer.
The
billing
is
no
longer
handled
there.
Many
times,
even
though
this
is
my
primary,
we
get
billed
as
if
they
are
a
specialist.
I
go
into
the
office
and
I’m
told
call
the
billing
department.
I
call
the
person
I’ve
never
seen,
and
they
tell
me
that’s
how
they
have
me
set
up.
I
go
back
to
the
office
and
they
take
a
copy
of
my
bill.
They
say
to
disregard.
I
go
to
the
doctor
again
or
my
wife
goes
and
the
same
thing
happens.
Nothing
changes.
Before
Dr.
M.
sold
the
practice,
bloodwork
was
usually
sent
to
Quest
Labs
or
another,
in
network
provider.
I’d
get
a
bill
that
I’d
have
a
responsibility
to
pay
what
my
healthcare
plan
didn’t
pay
for.
My
bill
would
usually
range
anywhere
from
2-3
dollars
to
anything
under
$10.
So,
recently
my
wife
&
I
had
bloodwork
done.
Since
the
“change”
in
management,
they
now
send
these
tests
to
Sunrise
Labs,
which
is
ALSO
an
affiliate
of
Family
Medical
Associates.
I
now
get
bills
from
Sunrise
Labs
for
$36
&
$90
plus.
These
charges
are
MORE
than
my
primary
copay!
I’ve
NEVER
been
billed
like
this.
It
makes
me,
a
customer,
wonder...So,
I
go
to
the
office
with
these
bills
and
I’m
told
they’d
resubmit
with
a
different
procedure
code.
Mmmm,
I’m
really
wondering....?
Why
do
I
have
all
this
aggravation
with
this
office?
Don’t
ask
for
an
office
manager
to
return
a
phone
call.
You
could
wait
till
hell
freezes
over
for
that
to
occur.
Oh,
and
in
this
day
and
age
2019,
a
representative
tells
me
they
left
a
voicemail.
Very
interesting
in
this
era
of
caller
ID
&
voicemail,
this
rep
lied
to
me.
Now,
I
go
to
the
office
due
to
persistent
pain.
They
give
me
a
script
for
an
X-ray
at
Zwanger.
I
get
it
done
on
a
Monday
right
after
my
appointment.
I
call
the
office
on
Tuesday
to
get
results.
Now,
I
know
the
report
is
ready
cause
I
get
notification
from
the
Zwanger
patient
portal
it’s
ready.
I’m
NOT
a
doctor.
But
I
have
an
idea
what
I
may
be
dealing
with
from
my
past
history.
I’m
told
I
have
to
wait
for
the
PA,
who’s
off
to
look
at
the
report
and
he’d
get
back
to
me.
The
report
was
available
the
next
day.
So,
I’m
hurting
and
I
need
to
wait
for
service?
There’s
no
one
else
there.
My
wife
had
an
appointment
the
next
day.
I’m
kinda
not
feeling
so
good
so
I
asked
for
that
PA
to
call
me
with
information.
Did
I
get
any
call?
No.
I
ask
for
a
note
for
my
employer
as
I
have
in
the
past
to
limit
my
work
schedule.
In
the
past,
no
problem
as
I
have
numerous
nagging
ailments.
I’m
told
no
problem.
I
stop
in
a
week
later
after
dropping
a
script
for
physical
therapy
next
door
wondering
where
my
note
was.
I’m
told
by
the
reps
they
were
“just
talking
about
me.”
They
tell
me
that
I
had
to
wait
for
the
PA
who
saw
me
the
previous
Monday
9
days
earlier
to
complete
it.
He’s
not
gonna
be
in
until
“next
week.”
At
this
point
my
frustration
is
boiling
over.
I
say
to
the
2
at
the
desk
that
my
job
doesn’t
stop
when
I’m
not
there.
I
told
them
I
was
told
Dr.
C
would
complete
my
requested
note.
That
never
happens.
I
get
a
call
and
they
tell
me
I
had
to
get
a
note
from
the
“pain
management”
doctor
or
orthopedist!
Really?
Ask
for
a
call
back
to
confirm
medicines
have
been
ordered?
What
do
you
think?
In
this
era
of
managed
care
and
all,
Family
Medical
Associates
of
Babylon
is
NOT
the
place
to
go
anymore
unless
you
want
your
blood
pressure
to
rise!
It’s
really
a
shame
cause
we
used
to
like
the
office
staff.
They
used
to
be
sooo
accommodating.
Now,
they’re
unprofessional
and
condescending.
Do
yourself
a
favor
and
STAY
AWAY!
They’re
too
big....
