I'm glad I took a "before" pic because there was nothing left after. I'm blown away by how good this place was. I dropped in late after 9pm and knew right away this was a family run place. Friendly service. Immaculate. Inexpensive. The fried chicken and mac n cheese were spot on, but I need to talk about the greens. Hands down one of the finest vegetable dishes I've ever encountered in my 40+ years of dining out ever. At any price point. I seriously drank the leftover pot liquor out of the tray. This place is only a buck or two more than fast food and it's freshly prepared and delicious and made with love. Thank you so much for being open late. I'm going back tomorrow.

When they first opened it was better. Customer service needs improvement. From greeting to handling food. I will say the sweet potatoes were delicious. Greens were too heavily seasoned though, which made them spicy. Also, no prices listed anywhere. so your not sure what you are paying for. Paid $12 for the pork chop dinner. Great taste but kinda overcooked. Maybe because the guy was on the phone in the kitchen. I do like how the cook certain things that are not out front when you order. Like shrimp, pork chop and a few other things. I wish I got 2 pork chops. Even if I paid 14 or 15 dollars. I may try on a weekend day get better service.

Because I have a strong southern background my husband and I were not impressed with the food. The collard greens had too much sugar in them, and the candied yams had more pineapples than yams. But what really annoyed us what’s the customer service. And someone should notify the rude boy at the register that a red Durag and a white T-shirt isn’t appropriate. He should stay in the back with his bad attitude . Never again

Great food with friendly service. I’d give Winnie’s five stars if they were more consistent with their offerings. I understand that they’re in the midst of a relocation and look forward to giving them a five-star review when they offer teas, baked goods, etc.

Since moving from the city to long Island I was on the hunt for soul food and found this place. It was difficult to find when I used my GPS. But overall the wings were ok. The lobster mac was a tad bit spicy which I didn't like. Giving three stars because they ran out of ribs. No corn bread. They only sold cake by the pie not by slice. I wasn't thrilled that I had to wait outside for my Order. The tall gentleman behind the counter was VERY nice. But if those items were available I would have given 5 stars. Maybe I will visit again. I'm 30 minutes away and it was disappointed those items were not available. If you like non spicy mac. Then get the plain mac and cheese. I wish I did that.

Good food, I had the jerk chicken with Mac n cheese and it was delicious The staff was very friendly, asked me if it was my first time there, took the time to explain the menu items and the way ordering works which I really appreciated. Not giving it 5 stars because it's a bit pricey in my honest opinion. I can go to a Spanish deli, get similar food/amount for half the price.

Well as you all may know, it’s hard to find a good soul food place on Long Island. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place is. The only issue I had was the styrofoam to go containers but it’s not like I can’t take it out of the plate. Loved it and hope to keep going. Forgot to take a before picture.

This place DISRESPECTS the name "soul food". I think I'm going to be sick with all the cheese inside the seafood Mac and cheese ( no visible lobster and only 2 small baby shrimps🧀.. gave me 4 flavorless greasey fried chicken widgets.= (2 wings) The sweet potatoes are OK but not really yams. They have mashed sweet potatoes people. (Babyfood) cost. $23 dollars .. I really hope winnie see this and make the proper adjustments. Stop disrespecting the culture 😤 #BF

Food is good sometimes. My favorite item off the menu is the lobster mac&cheese but it is a bit pricey for the portion. The never open ontime so if you plan on going there for 12 like the time they posted says try back at 2-3pm dont try to stop here on your lunch break.

Nice sized portions! The rasta pasta was ok, i think it would've been better with chicken but I wanted to try shrimp. The jerked chicken was really good too.

AHHH-MAZE-ZZZING!!!! Jerk chicken and BBQ Pork Ribs are fall off the bone good and the lobster and shrimp mac and cheese! Sinfully good!! I can't wait to go back and work my way down the menu! The staff and customers were both polite and talkative. Big portions too! Our new must stop! Only thing; No ting.

Young staff at night was very rude and wasn't much food to choose from after 8

Lobster and shrimp mac and cheese is amazing. Jerk salmon was almost too salty. Thd salmon was made to ordee, so i appreciate that. The young gentleman behind the counter was pleasant but not too helpful. I was really annoyed that prices arent listed and there isnt a menu on display. That being said i would definitely go back. Please create a menu with approximate prices. I would have been inclined to try more items if i could see the options instead of them being told to me.

My bf and I had fried chicken from another place last weekend and was utterly disappointed. Tried this place and I will never order from another restaurant again. We had their jerk chicken, lobster Mac and cheese, fried chicken and corn on the cob. Everything was beyond delicious.
