Really wanted to like this place. But, sadly not a winner. The samosas were 2 in an order at the usual 6 per order price from any other Indian restaurant, and over salted. The naan order came with one large naan. Every other restaurant has given multiple in an order. The Rogan Josh was just salt and onions with bland chicken. My tongue is burning from the salt, making eating very uncomfortable. The tikka masala was supposed to be beef. They were out, so I got lamb. I got home, and the '"tikka" was some orange sauce with tofu and maybe mango? Not sure. It wasn't what I ordered. It wasn't busy there when I ordered (I was 1 of 2 people picking up). This was disappointing to say the least, and more money than I should have spent for what I got, since that gave me the wrong item. Gotta say, there are better places in the area.

Walked in just before 830... only 1 table occupied so we basically had the place to ourselves. Would have expected better service but the waitress was consumed in his phone and the owner was sitting there with his back to the restaurant. Food was ok Chicken tika Chicken curry old fashioned Onion nan Samosa.... Guess I see why people take out so much...

Amazing environment I have been coming here since it's open. The owner's nephew was very kind to me. A 2 young guys were very friendly and were still moving out all those orders and Deliveries They were being also kind to my daughter.letting her feed the fishes Highly recommend if you want really good Indian style dinner platters the garlic Nana and the peshawari recipe I want it lmaoo.until next time

We love Indian cuisine. I don't like to write negative reviews. We ordered via Doordash. Food was terrible. Chicken malai was absolutely terrible. Tough Chicken, no flavor and was not real Malai Chicken. My guests put it in the garage. The Naan bread was tasteless, chewy and likly was old and just put In microwave. I an vert upset and amberasesed. What a shame

Ordered chicken Jhalfrezi. Not sure if they know how to cook it. Over priced. Too much salt that I had to trash. This restaurant deserves less than 1 star. Whoever cooks, I would recommend that person to work somewhere else. I saw one note there, my dad is a great chef. Just to let you know kid, your dad is the worst chef in this world.

Something changed since last year. The food is horrible. Just horrible. Lamb tastes like beef. Goat tastes like plastic. Raita taste is not describable. Never again.

Food was amazing, I dined in recently with my girlfriend and we both got two different dishes of chicken I got curry and she got a dry rub. I must say it was the most amazing chicken I’ve had in a while. The portions were also great. My girlfriend and I received an appetizer, 2 drinks and 2 entrees and it came out to only $42. Definitely will be back and recommend others to give it a try.

I had the worst experience ever ordering food from this restaurant. The food did NOT taste like Indian food. The mango lassi I ordered taste like it was mixed with carrots. The buttered nan was too chewy and too thick to eat.

I give them negative star, Dear all deer Park community, I have a strong request to you, never order any food from there, because very cheating restaurant food is always very worst food and they spoil indian food menus. There is no professional chef. We bought a Manchester lamb vinthalu, they charged $22, only 4 small pieces of lamb and 4 pieces of potato. Taste was vey horrible. I have lot of complaints about the restaurant, I don’t want write anymore. Very over priced, poor quality and quantity.

Ordered via Uber Eats and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. There was no flavor in the tikka masala or the naan, I mean what Indian food has no flavor???? For the price of the meal they should improve the quality and taste of their food. I was happy to see a neat presentation and the food arrived warm, but that was the least they could do. Look elsewhere for Indian food,The new bangladeshi owner seems rather arrogant and dismissive towards the loyal customers of this specific location. I understand it is a tough environment for the food industry but to raise the buffet prices 80% to cover a 7.5% overrall inflationary price increase (based on the consumer price index) appears greedy. The quality and the quantity of the buffet options has also gone down. Please don't forget there are many competitors in this town and this location does not serve real authentic Indian food as the cheff and owner is from Bangladesh not India only good thing here is fish nothing els

I didn’t have a good experience here. The service was bad. I ordered online for pickup. It took an extra 20 minutes to get my order (after the initial 30 min eta on the receipt). This would’ve been fine if the place was super busy or if they would’ve let me know in advance. But they kept me waiting at pickup without giving me any indication how much longer the food would take to arrive and no one at the front desk. The food wasn’t good. The curry dishes were way too watery and lacked enough meat. And to top it off they forgot the naan (which costs extra).

Best Indian food in Deer Park. No parking, have to park on deer park ave. Family owned. Sparce interior ambiance, basic tables and chairs, not sure if they serve alcohol but the food is good. Lamb Rogan Josh medium, excellent. Strange experience today. Asked for a merlot and got some sort of sweat white wine. I consider myself tolerant of spicy food that why I'm here in the first place. I've been here many times and have learned that choosing spicy is more then my pallet prefers. Ordered my lamb curry mild this time. It was spicier then the last time I got it. Nan came out cold, server very alufe, no chips and dips served. I was alone in the restaurant at 2:00 for lunch and felt I was bothering them. Went out for a cigarette found my food and wine removed with check on the table. Was charged for a pinot noir instead of the merlot I ordered. Not changing my rating yet, food was still good. Chef Madras curry lamb still great. Will put up with the spotty service for the chef. Dinner service is much better. Late afternoon lunch seams to be when the problems happen. Guess there trying to get ready for dinner and lunch customers are a bother for the 1 person who is there to wait on tables. Chef continues to put out quality food no matter what time of the day. My thanks to him.

I had a fantastic experience at this place at Taj Tandoor. We loved the awesome vibes and the food. The Owners are super welcoming. I am glad we ultimately decided to try this place. Great quality Indian food. Nice looking place inside with a quiet theme and plenty of space. Service was pleasant. My wife and I enjoyed going and will definitely go again. Starters are great, food was good too. Ambience was nice service was good too, staff was good and polite and accommodating.

Favorite Indian cuisine restaurant of all time!!!! If you crave Indian desi cuisine, this is the place you have to hit !! The owner, Mr.Johir he is such a nice guy and the renowned chef Bijoy!! The food is excellent 👌 and the hospitality is impeccable. Highly recommend!!! Great service loved it.

I went to this establishment today I should have walked out when I saw no other patrons, I gave it a chance maybe I missed the rush hour Nope horrible!! The Roti was a cardboard flying saucer The curry goat I believe was not a goat but something else caught in a net in the wild and your better off eating an old pair of shoes at least you would know what you were eating don't waste your money its horrible🤮

I ordered the food from this restaurant today. Was a terrible experience. The quantity was very less. The nan was burned.the chicken tasted like milk .The food was trash and very overpriced. Just waste of money, pls don’t buy from there. If you want to waste your money you can go there.

I haven't had Taj tandoor in a little while. I ordered some for delivery today and was very disappointed. The sag paneer was oddly sweet and no spices to be found, it tasted like a bad version or Spinach and artichoke dip with paneer in it. The karai curry was decent but the very large pieces or ginger made for some odd bites. The Tikka masal was very sweet with dry Boneless chicken. The saving grace was all the bread tasted fresh and soft. 2 entrees a side dish and 3 breads cost me over $80 on Doordash. Guess it's time to look elsewhere for Indian food. I use to suggest this place to a lot of people. Sadly it's changed drastically

Lassi and meat samosa was very tasty, the cheese naan had plenty of cheese but just tasted like naan so not worth the additional cost, and the chicken korma was completely flavorless. I've gotten Indian food in mild before and have still had it bursting with flavor, this however tasted like literal nothing, very disappointing. I might try again and get a different entree because the samosa and chutney were good, but unlikely since Indian food isn't the cheapest

Butter chicken taste horrible, I can’t begin to explain how horrible the taste was. Their naan bread tasted like yeast. This place needs to get its act together, this is not Indian food .

Food is delicious and flavorful. Come here if you want great and authentic Indian food.

Got chicken tikka masala, aloo hobo, baighan barta, and another vegetable dish. Everything was poor except the chicken tikka masala. The eggplant dish was tasteless. Not even salty. The potatoes weren’t cooked through. Most of the vegetables lacked flavor and weren’t cooked long enough. Very disappointing. At least the portions were small.

We have the worst experience ever first time we get lunch for all and they mix butter chicken gravy in paneer and chana the taste was the worst and we spend $100 we r never coming back again

My family has been coming to Taj for the past 3 years now and the food is always amazing! The food takes a while when you order in since they do get a lot of to go orders, but, it is worth the wait! The restaurant is very clean, the food is fresh, flavorful and the staff is nice!

The food here is consistent and always tastes great! Fast service, great people, and never stopped performing during COVID. Been to tons of solid Indian spots in the tristate between living in Manhattan, NJ, and Syracuse, and this is the best by far.

Came in trying to determine if there was food that didn't have dairy in it but did have chicken. The guy at the counter didn't understand what non dairy was, or he made believe he didn't understand, even though there were vegan options on the menu. We left frustrated.

If you want to experience the worst lolypop chicken, you can try there chicken lolypop. It’s not crispy at all. Too oily. Not properly cooked. I ordered 3 timers chicken tandoori. One time it was ok but next two times it wasn’t cooked properly.

Just received our order from Taj Tandoor and beyond disgusted. I cut into a samosa and found MULTIPLE EYELASHES!! We called the restaurant to ask for assistance and was told it was the delivery persons’ fault. Yet they delivered directly! Still they refused to take ownership. There is no way to insert genetic material after frying and the order was delivered directly from Taj Tandoor - not Uber or Grubhub. My husband and I were just told by “Ali” it’s not their fault and they refuse to do anything - no replacement or refund. So now we have to take the measures to dispute the charge. I’m attaching images as proof. Just lost my appetite while they lost a valuable customer. Shame. So many wonderful Indian eateries on the island, but it’s clear Taj Tandoor doesn’t have a clue. Or a care.

The waiters were very nice and kind. They help me choose my order and even guided me through it. Over all an amazing experiance
