Very nice decor. Nice selection of foods on menu and drinks menu. Love the layout of the place. And the cafe was clean. Seats comfortable. We went here on a busy lunch time on a Tuesday afternoon. It’s a popular location and people inside seemed to be enjoying themselves. Adults and children. Prices are reasonable. Nice to try something different. The orders and payment were taken at the table. Our food was ordered, served and eaten in under 30 minutes for a table of 4. I know because I had to rush back to where I needed to go. I’d probably sit near to the window in future the front of the order desk was quite busy.

Quality of food was excellent, the service was quick but it would have been even better if what we ordered arrived altogether. However the price of what we ordered and the quality of what we received was superb so I'll always recommend Damascena for anyone wanting an authentic Turkish experience.

As many others have attested too, Damascena Coffee House is really a beautiful establishment. The coffee here is authentic and exceptional. The selection of food is vast and good, however, we felt it was a lot pricier than what it was worth. We were also disappointed with the baklava. Regardless, definitely worth visiting, and we appreciated the great service.

Very friendly staff and a chilled place to grab a bite to eat. Food was top quality and price is fair. I particularly like the fact that every Damascena we’ve been to so far has a slightly different menu so always something new to discover.

Damascena in the Jewellery Quarter has plenty of seating inside as well as some tables outside. The interior is their signature style, very nice. The food is absolutely delicious, there is plenty of choice on the menu. Plenty of drinks choice as well. Their freshly squeezed orange juice with rose water is so tasty and refreshing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food arrived very quickly even though it was quite busy. Overall very nice experience and recommend for a quick lunch.

Had the Juz Muz (eggs and tomatoes brunch) and Turkish coffee. Omg. This was divine. So so nice. Service with a smile too, and a great menu that was more a culinary brochure and really well marked up for allergies, food intolerances etc - I’m gluten free and dairy free and the menu was so easy. Lots on offer.

Been here a few times and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. They also have spaces with plugs where you can come and work. I’d like to start off by saying I’m not a big fan of foods like falafel and hummus etc but I actually really enjoy and like the falafels here. It can be confusing looking at the menu at first as there are so many options! If it’s your first time visiting, try a falafel platter with your choice of hummus dip. During my last 2 visits I also tried the mixed mezze where you get falafels, salad, choice of dip, and a choice of what appears to be a cross between a curry-soup-dip. I opted for the “fuul medames” which is creamy and has fava beans. And then the other time I tried “fuul damascena” which is tomato based. You can order these flat wraps to dip and scoop the liquid up. The menu has been updated so you can actually see what everything looks like before you order which was super helpful for me. Lastly, I have also tried their desserts (lotus biscoff cheesecake, a lebanese dessert that has cream and jam in a sponge, and a vegan lemon cake) - I liked them all and paired them with an english breakfast tea (despite them having a wide variety of teas and coffees because I’m a bit basic like that :) )

We visited Damascena last week. We absolutely loved it! The flavours in their dishes were incredibly authentic, bringing the taste of the Middle East to every bite. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and their coffee was exceptional too. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Middle Eastern cuisine and a cozy coffee spot!

So I saw the reviews for this place as I am a blogger foodie I went with my friend to review. I ordered the Turkish coffee which was great. Also mains DAMASCENA LAMB SHAWARMA ARABIYA 12.95 👇👇👇👇 Shawarma seasoned lamb, crunchy salad, homemade garlic sauce, and pickles. All folded up in a flatbread and served with a side of batata harra potatoes 👈 Food took about 30/40mins to arrive, was disappointed with staff, as they were talking constantly, nothing clean, not cutlery or napkins, floors were dirty, that's why the loose points for the service. I had to find napkins off other tables etc. I was gracious to leave a TIP. Thank you

Great variety of desserts, including cheesecake, velvet cake and Turkish delight with vegan options! The staff was polite and attentive! The coffee was strong and the prices were reasonable! The decor could be improved and be more traditional like the sister cafe that is located close to the cathedral!

Came a few years ago and loved it, came back and the service was good awful. ‘20 min wait’ was actually 62 minute wait for food. When we asked, we kept getting ignored or told ‘it will be right out’. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at all, and the food was very simple. Tasty but not worth the wait. Hoping it was a one off because my last experience was much nicer

Nice quirky coffee house to meet friends, or have a snack on your own or have a meeting. Clean and friendly with a lovely vibe. Fresh orange 🍊 juice with ginger and a Chicken Shawarma Flatbread Wrap. Manageesh Platter (FLATBREAD)with hummus, fattuush salad, pickles and olives. Will definitely visit again. Nice interior and seating. Clean toilet.

I ordered the mixed meze to share - Avocado hummus, fuul medames, fatuush, falafels and flatbread. Each of the dishes were well balanced and very tasty. The staff were attentive and the fresh juice options were incredibly refreshing on such a hot day, Thank you!

Food was really delicious and decent size portions for the price. Also staff were very friendly. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that food took quite a long time to arrive, fortunately we weren’t in a hurry 😝

This was one of the best meals we EVER had!!! Every single ingredient was delicious. The grilled halloumi was the best we have ever tasted. I dont even know what they seasoned it with but it was next level. The falafels were so moist and moreish. The hummus was AGAIN the best we ever had. The manakeesh with za'atar and cheese was so fresh and yummy. We will be back. Highly recommend

I was there today and ordered a Walnut Katayif, as from the name it should have walnut, from the description it was Hot dumplings filled with chopped walnuts, dipped in syrup. Served with vanilla ice cream. But it was filled with dessicated/shredded coconut and cinnamon with a few pieces of walnut. When I reported that to the waiter he just smiled.

Very polite, positive and smiley staff, clean restaurant and bathroom. Food was very tasty with beautiful presentation. One of the best falafel I've eaten, kibbeh makliya taste was too strong for me but everything else was amazing. Dip sauce also very tasty especially the avocado hummus. Pistachio Cheesecake was fresh and went well with coffee. Definitely coming back
