Great location and decor. Fantastic views over Birmingham. Staff friendly too. We were a group of 30 who pre ordered so expect to go smoothly. Unfortunately food took ages to come out, for example everyone had finished their main meal when sauces we were asking for came out along with side salads. Chips over cooked, steak was good but not great. Drinks took a while to come when ordered 20mins for a bottle if sparkling water. For the money you pay this was poor value and would not visit again, which is a shame because it is a great venue.

The actual restaurant is brilliant, the views are amazing and the food was nice. The service however is appalling. We got our starters pretty quick then it took about 30 to 40 mins for our mains in which we found out they got our order wrong. Trying to flag someone down was impossible, as when we tried to pay at the end, again trying to find someone took a while. If the service was better I would definitely recommend this place.

A wonderfully designed place that makes you feel special. All staff members are smiling and interested. There are places to sit inside and outside the place and it has a great view from everywhere. The service is very fast, the food is both delicious and very fresh. A quality establishment that you can choose for a private business meeting, family celebration or afternoon tea. There are many parking spaces where you can park on the street for those who travel by car. Parking costs £1.5 per hour and is free on weekends.

We enjoyed an excellent meal, purchased for me as a 50th birthday present and using a Buy a Gift voucher. We paid a little extra to sit next to the window and there were great choices on the menu. All the food was tasty and well presented and service was excellent throughout.

Came here for a drink and to take in the view, following a recommendation from a friend. We got straight in with no waiting, it was very quiet in the bar, but the restaurant was getting quite busy, with people coming in for afternoon tea. Picked a cocktail, they were priced between £13-£14.50 each, which didn't think was too bad, for this type of restaurant, so was pleasantly surprised, when the lady behind the bar said that the cocktails were £14.50 each or 2 of the same cocktails for £14. So instead of 2 cocktails for £29, we got 4 cocktails for £28. The views from the 25th floor over Birmingham are lovely and looked even better in the sunshine. Well worth a visit, even, if just for a drink.

This is fine dining with a view. Food was fantastic and full of flavour. Service was also brilliant (Thank you Caitlin). The wine was excellent. The views from the 25th floor across the city were delightful. This all comes at a price of course but if you are able to treat yourself and indulge, then is is a great way to spend a few hours.

It’s a good restaurant, nice ambiance, good food. The waiters are good especially Gabrielle.. she’s very friendly and helpful. Not so pricey for their settings. I had a good evening with my family

The starter I chose (French onion soup) was the best soup I've ever had in my life, delicious! The main (beef burger and fries) and dessert (cheesecake) were good, not amazing but definitely tasty. The drink prices were fair for being in a city, I was expecting them to be more pricey. The atmosphere/decor/view was stunning. It does cost extra to sit near the window so that's good to keep in mind. The staff were friendly and kept on top of things really well. My partner had ordered a side of mac and cheese that never appeared though so some slight communication errors but nothing major, I think they just didn't hear him. Overall really enjoyed our experience here and I'd definitely return for more soup and to try other dishes!

Positives: the staff member who served us was nice and kind. The views from the restaurant are also lovely, but not really worth paying £5 for imo. The fries were very nice and crunchy. Negatives: this place is trying to appeal to customers who want a premium dining experience, however there is nothing premium here. As other comments have said: the place is in need of a refurb: chair have torn leather and looks very dated, steak knife are dull, the quality of the plates/ glasses is poor, the choice of plates for serving food and the size of the table don’t match, very cramped eating experience. The food was an absolute joke, poorly served steak just thrown on a platter, with raw vine tomatoes, the steak was not cooked evenly - some bits very raw and others very done (we asked for medium rare). The steak we wanted originally was out of stock so we had to go for this option, it was very fatty. We asked for blue cheese sauce, the thimble of sauce we received was split/curdled - oil on top and cheese sunk to the bottom - not a proper ‘sauce’. Drinks we wanted also out of stock. Decided to try dessert - sticky toffee was ok, however the ice cream it was served with tasted like a milk sorbet - no creaminess, just icy poor quality ice cream. We also got a baked cheesecake - barely any sugar in it, very tasteless. We finished off with coffees, even those are terrible. Service took a long time, despite place not being very busy and we were receiving food before even having our drinks. Very very poor, would not recommend - even if you have a voucher, it is not worth your money. Go to the bar for a drink if you want to see the view.

First time here, and to be honest, we were not initially impressed. On arrival at the bar, the staff were huddled at the other end, talking to each other while newly arrived guests, including ourselves, were ignored. We didn't even receive a nod or any eye contact as a sign of acknowledgement that they knew we were there. This continued as staff moved around behind the bar. The heat in the room was horrendous! We had to ask for it to be turned off. Then later we had to ask for the background music to be turned down, as it was blaring that loud, we couldn't hear each other. The tables were nicely laid out, with spotless glasses and cutlery! It is a huge thing for me as I detest dirty or cloudy glasses and stained cutlery. The family members who hosted the party used to have their own restaurant, and they trained the staff to dip cutlery in hot water before drying and placing it on the table. The only negative for the table setup was the use of one chair cover that was excessively wrinkled, like it had been screwed up in the tightest ball ever. It stood out a mile. Starters arrived, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Mains were disappointing for some. The Sea Bass was literally just that, no extra sides, just the dressing underneath. Presentation of the steak; I've seen better presentations at 'Spoons'. The steak WAS tasty, as was the peppercorn sauce. Some guest steaks were quite pink and bloody despite asking for well done. The Christmas Turkey had a fuller looking plate, although it severely lacked vegetables. It was literally one each 4 cm chunky stick of carrot and a parsnip, and 3 baby Brussels sprouts! Desserts, everyone was pleased. The ladies' toilets were not maintained during our visit. Both times I used them, another patron passed a comment on the mess of the cubicles and lack of maintenance. Also, it is disappointing that other females would create such a mess! Overall, I am on the fence with returning. My hubby is a definite no.

Gorgeous venue. Beautiful views. And absolutely pathetic service. Impudent staff. We went for an afternoon tea today and had the most sad experience. We stood there for 7-10 minutes and must have made eye contact with 6 of their staff and none of had the courtesy to even smile at us. Anyway, We ordered some drinks before starting our tea. We finished our sandwiches and there was no sign of our drinks. The waitress who was attending us stood their laughing and chatting with her colleagues for good 15 minutes- not exaggerating. We then again asked her for our drinks and she had clearly forgotten. The cups and kettle laid on our table had cracks and were really dirty. I had to ask our waitress to replace them. She brought a new cup which also had a crack and upon mentioning the same to her, she smiled saying all of them are like that. I’m still wondering why did we pay for that cheap experience. An average serves better fish and chips than that place. Not value for money. And even if it was, would never visit there simply because of their poor service and ignorant staff. Highly NOT recommending

They were good service, great location and atmosphere. Booked a table for 6 and got a complimentary Prosecco and also congratulatory message for my celebration. The downside was when I was given rare meat instead of medium and it was not changed or was I compensated, their response was nothing can be done because I had already eaten up-to half. I hope they do better next time and not mixed up my order with no amendments.

Great food and excellent service. It loses points because I was charged for a window seat, but did not know there would be a charge (I would have paid anyway, so not a huge deal). However, I was disappointed that they were out of roast lamb and had no draft beers. Despite these issues I would still recommend. I had calamari for starters and tempura prawns for mains with onion rings and both were excellent, as was the service

Great location, as you can see all around Birmingham. Tasty food, but was expecting a bit better, but it is fine. BAR definitely needs improvement. First, they need to fix wobly tables as well they sticky, and after putting the glass, you need to be careful when lift the glass as the glass attached to the table. Cocktail needs improvement, nothing special.

Love the place, paying a little extra for the window table was worth it. The food we had was very good and the service was excellent. Unfortunately I can't remember the girls name who was our waitress but it was superb throughout. My only criticism would be that it is a little tired. The chairs are all ripped, every table we saw had a tear on the seats around it. Whilst it didn't affect our evening there it's not what I'd expect from a place such as this.

Best view in Birmingham. Absolutely gorgeous evening we had, both ordering the signature steaks shared with a bottle of wine. The entire ambiance and open space felt welcoming and inviting, plus once it got to 8pm and the live music started, it added to the romantic scene even more. The singer was amazing, and her voice was the perfect background to enjoying cocktails out on the terrace. The food was delicious as expected, and prices weren't as steep as comparable to London. The service was almost *too* good, as at one point we had 4 different people serving us, either topping up our drinks, asking if we needed any sauces, and accidentally delivering us another bottle of wine. We definitely felt cared for! Even without booking a window-side table, we still had great views of Birmingham, admiring the University clocktower from our meals. Though we only had the table for 2 hours, by that point in the evening we were ready to sit outdoors and watch the sunset. We're already thinking of coming back sometime soon!

We had a BuyAGift voucher to use so I guess the menu we were given wasn’t the proper one. However, we had an 8oz Sirloin and a tomato and basil soup start with sourdough bread & salted butter. The starter was lovely, very hot and the butter for the bread was very nice. The sirloin was nice, cooked medium, chips were too chunky and dense for me. Personally, I would say the steak at Miller and Carter is better with the onion loaf. Staff were very friendly. Views were great. Nice atmosphere but if I were to go out for a steak again I’d go elsewhere.

Went for lunch after I was gifted with a Buy a Gift Voucher. Was served by a lovely helpful waitress called Anesha. The reception staff were accommodating and helpful also as my Sister is disabled and in a disability scooter. Food was delightful and hot eaten in pleasant surroundings. We are looking forward to coming back.

We had lunch on the January 50% off mains deal. Food was nice but not worth £23 for a main course. £11.50 good value. Beware that although on arrive we made it clear we had booked on the 50% off deal (You have to book online to get the offer) the bill initially came with no discount. We also booked online the non window seat option and were seated by the window by the server (lunchtime so place was pretty quiet) and the bill had a £5 per person charge for a window seat. Server was not authorised to take either charge off themselves so we had an awkward exchange of sending the bill back twice and watching them walk over to front of house. Server was not offended when we removed the service charge for this reason. PS I’d appreciate it if you can avoid portioning out mayonnaise from the wholesale buckets whilst customers sit a few feet away.

There's no doubting that the views are amazing! Afternoon tea was nice. Small selection of sandwiches and some nice cakes. We also opted for a glass if prosecco. Furniture is rather worn. Could do with some TLC. I'd have expected a bit better standard to be honest. Reasonably young black girl who served us was absolutely lovely and offered great customer service. Older Asian man who brought out the food was a different kettle of fish. He was possibly mute and had certainly left his personality at home.....or on holiday somewhere far away in 1981.

It's ok. I expected more. Went for afternoon tea, Food was average, scones were nice, good gluten free options. it was a very hot day and no AC so everyone was uncomfortably hot. Waitress spoke so quietly we had to keep asking her to repeat herself. Would not go back for afternoon tea.

I visited here with my sister as I'd received it as a gift. First impressions weren't great as the meet and greet is set very far back and not very obvious or welcoming. We were shown to our table, and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. We paid extra for a window seat and were put next to a large column, almost completely blocking the view, from the seat I was given. If I did visit again (which is unlikely), I would sit in the "cheap seats" in the middle from where you get a much wider view. Our afternoon tea was lovely once they had replaced the sandwiches for what we had actually asked for. Our waitress was delightful. I wish I had noted her name so I could mention her here. On the whole, I'm pleased I've been but won't be rushing back.

Amazing Sunday roast experience at Marco Pierre, great views and very friendly staff. The staff brought out a birthday treat for me which was lovely. Huge portions and excellent quality food. I highly recommend the mixed Sunday lunch with all the trimming. The vegetables were delicious!

Went to Marcos Pierre white with the girls for afternoon tea for a birthday surprise. The ambiance and views were incredible overseeing the birmingham skyline. I loved the photographs on the wall however I found the furniture did look very, weared, tired and outdated. The staff were friendly, however they were quite slow setting up and we found ourselves waiting a while before we were actually served. The afternoon tea was delicious. My highlight was the fresh scones with jam and cream. The macaroons were delicious too. I wasn't best pleased to find a lipstick stain on new tea cups placed on our table. Having told the server one would assume it would be removed, however the cup remained on our table with the server ignoring our request for new cups. I did however appreciate the birthday cake with candle as I thought this was a sweet gesture. Overall I was very happy with the food and views. I think more attention to detail is required and the staff could be more attentive.

Before flying back to Australia on 20.06.23, my dear friend and I had some drinks and a late lunch. We paid extra for sitting near the window. Never had to do that before. The food was great but the biggest shout-out goes to Natanya our waitress. What an asset she is to the restaurant. If she was not sure about the menu items she would check with the chef. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She then brought out the most touching plate. Thank you Natanya for making my visit to the restaurant so memorable and personal 🙏🏼🥰

The place truly lives up to its hype and aura. Marco Pierre White isn’t a dine-in restaurant, it’s an experience. The views from the 25th floor are simply breathtaking. The food, seating, ambience was great. The hospitality too was nourishing by Miss Nash and others. The staff were courteous enough to help us make our anniversary dinner memorable. Looking forward towards celebrating more milestones there.

I have 4 for food. We had a buy a gift voucher given to us, when we called to book we were told it's only Monday to Friday 12-5 so limited hours. Was a small choice in food once there. But, husband loved his steak, gnocchi was OK and lots of it but got boring as every mouthful was a bit bland and the same. Service from staff was great, they were very attentive. You pay extra for window views but it's not worth it. They did surprise us with a anniversary plate which was lovely.

  • 3/5 Maryna R. 1 year ago on Google
We visited Marco Pierre restaurants 3 times and were not impressed with the quality of food and there's menu is quite limited. This one located in the Cube has a great view and at sunset hour looks absolutely stunning. But that's it. My battered salmon was quite greasy and my husbands sirloin steak was the worst he has ever had with a lot of gristle and fat, would have expected better quality. Presentation and service good but be aware service charge included added on the bill.

Had a date night here with my husband and it was amazing 👏 the location is superb and I loved the window seats although they were £5 extra. The food was amazing and we had a great night. I will definitely come back.

We had, a virgin experience voucher found it hard work just to make a, booking. Arrived there, expecting everything to be, high quality. Lacks attention to details first stop ladies toilets of which 3 where out of order not best for busy restaurant and bar. Thought we have cocktail before meal which they had an offer of 2 cocktails for £14.00 which was fine but only if your both having same drink. We sat just outside the bar area noticed few things that needed attention maybe i was just been over picky but glass door looked like been cleaned with dirty cloth all smeared i can understand fingermarks on glass door but this just looked like no effort could be made also tables were sticky and needed wiping down. We went to be seated and the seats next to our table were very badly ripped and damaged wasnt overall good look for a fine dining experience needed to go in the tip. Service was ok little slow at times and chaotic seem to have to try grab attention to get served noone was at hand to ask if we wanted to order drinks quicker to just go to bar. Food arrived was hot nice enough value for money probably not. Ordered apple and black currant crumble it was just apple but was best part of the whole thing for me. Little bit off putting there are 2 menus you get small menu with not much choice if you have booked an experience day makes it feel like your cheap option just making up the numbers. Overall glad i came just toi see what all fuss is about but not in rush to go back.

We had a champagne afternoon tea.. it was amazing! Lovely selection of sandwiches, the smoked salmon was to die for. An array of sweet treats for afters, the cheesecake was so fluffy and light, plus scones, clotted cream and jam. Our waitress could not do enough for us but wasn't pushy. You have to pay extra for a window seat but it's definitely worth it!
