Delicious! Worth a trip. It was very busy when we arrived but we only had to wait a short while to get seated. Sam, the Head Chef, looked after us brilliantly serving the baos and rice bowl as they were ready. Despite it being so busy we felt very well looked after and really enjoyed the excellent food. Will be back.

Great food, tad on the expensive side. The rice bowls were really nice, and the Bao Buns were pretty great! A little bit stodgy, not the best i have had but still really nice + you can’t really get bao buns in Birmingham Good drink selection too

Sought this restaurant out before a concert after hearing about it on the Off Menu podcast ages ago. Really glad we did! Tiny place but fast service so high turnover, I don't think you'd wait long for a table. We sat in the window at the bar where we could people watch or watch the open kitchen. Good drink selection, cans of Peachy and Karma kola were very welcome. We had a selection of boa buns and a short rib rice bowl. Both were packed with flavour and the meats were so tender. The bowl was a large portion with a really fresh and varied selection of pickles. Jury is still out on the salted egg yoke thought! The only downside to this place is the location. Not the nicest road and a little pungent on the street outside. Do not let that put you off you - seek this hidden gem out, you wont regret it. Just round the corner from the station, their takeaway would definitely be better than a sad sandwich!

Finally had a chance to come and visit this hidden gem. Both pork belly bao and crispy fried chicken bao are so good. The pickles matched well with the bao. Pork belly is tender but not overcooked. The staffs are so friendly and food quality is amazing! Definitely would come again:)

Last minute stop and thankfully got space. Loved watch the chef cook. It's a small, adorable place with amazing food. Left very happy getting my bao craving satisfied. Amazing rice bowl, and Korean chicken wings are amazing😍.

Myself and my partner ate here Friday 18th Feb during lunch time. The food was delicious, service was friendly and quick. We overall had a lovely experience. We would highly recommend trying out this place! The fried chicken Bao was our favourite.

One of the best lunches I’ve had. Very unassuming from the outside and I am so glad we went! All the food was tasty & cooked to perfection. Only managed to get one picture but Bao looked amazing too. Can’t understand why there wasn’t a queue around the corner?!

My husband and I visited Birmingham today just to try this place! The wait was well worth it as the buns were GORGEOUS 🥰 Would definitely recommend it to everyone! The staff were super nice and accommodating despite being rushed off of their feet due to the footfall and delivery orders. We tried the pork, beef and lamb buns. Hubby and I both agreed that the lamb was best, pork was a close second!

This is an incredibly tasty and cozy place. The staff are very welcoming and a joy to chat to. Food is incredible - I keep coming back with friends and family, whether for lunch or dinner. For me the bao buns were the absolute highlight.

This was suggested by a colleague and I do highly recommend it! It’s a very cozy tiny place near grand central station with great art and minimal interior with very friendly staff! Lovely Asian flavour palette. Definitely recommend it!

I cannot even begin to describe how good the rice bowls are here, genuinely the the best. I make sure I visit each time I visit the town centre. Cannot wait to come back, best pork ever hands down!

What a lovely little spot! The vibes and music were immaculate! It was perfect for lunch, with everything being filling and hearty. The bao were great, with loads of choice, wish we’d ordered more tbh. The rice bowls were equally as amazing, with loads of pickled veg to mix things up, and what seemed like an endless array of topping on top, a very interesting eat. To say we will be back is an understatement, as I’m sure this will quickly become a regular for us, dropping by for a quick and relatively cheap bite to each. I’d recommend for lunch, gives you a nice break from the carnage of Birmingham town, tucked away rather pleasantly :)

This is a small place but with big hearty bowls! Would highly recommend. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. I had the beef shin rice, and can honestly say it was delicious. I have never had an egg yolk so tasty! The meat was melt in your mouth. Pork Bao was a winner too!

Nice food, the bao buns were great, we also had some rice bowls which was good but some parts of the bowl were cold (e.g you would expect caramelized carrots to be warm). Staff was really friendly but £40 was just not worth it. I m not sure I would recommend it

I've been here about 4 times now. The food here is just so good! The pork belly especially is marinated really well and tastes so flavourful. I highly recommend it. The buttermilk fried chicken bao is also very tasty. I only wish the place was bigger and had proper sitting but it doesn't bother me too much.

truly authentic and delish chinese food in generous servings. hidden gem along a quiet street (which i discovered on google maps😂). hearty food, heartier service, reminds me very much of my mum’s cooking (only better!) 💖

Tiny, cozy, fast and full of flavor can describe this place! Service is excellent, really friendly staff, however the center of the place is flavor. Baos are steamed in front of you, the presentation is good, they are good size and will fill you fast. However the highlight here is the flavors, pork belly was super tender and packed with flavor, the fried chicken one was amazing, perfectly cooked, crispy outside but tender and juicy inside, definitely a treat!

Probably the best bao buns we’ve ever eaten! It’s a tiny place but they make up for the lack of space with amazing food. We ordered beef rice bowl which was delicious and filling, two fried chicken baos (had to order an extra one because the first one was so so good) and a lamb bao too. Would definitely recommend, can’t wait to go back!

Lovely little restaurant with delicious food. The rice bowls are generously sized and very tasty. Service was quick and it's nice to sit at the bar and see the food being made, as it's a small place (<20 seats) it also made it feel more like an authentic Japanese bar. Friendly staff and good drinks selection too. Close to the station and definitely worth a visit if you're up in Birmingham and want some lunch/dinner.

Good looking place with corteous service and attractive menu, but the food somewhat leaves you feeling duped. Very bland generic Asian food—never had such tasteless pork belly before, the veg were just as dull. The presentation was pretty and I was initially thrilled until I tried to smell the bowl and it hit me immediately that it was going to be unexciting. That said, the cured egg yolk and the rice itself were nice.

Food is delicious. only had the bao. the bao bun is very soft. very well presented. portion is quite small. not much of sitting area. i think about 12. all on high sitting like bar area etc.

Fully recommend this place, the bao buns are delicious and freshly made. We got a selection but photographed are the chicken, beef shin and pork. The beef shin was amazing and my favourite so far. 1 bun is perfect for a lunch time snack and 2 filled me up for dinner. The place is very close to New Street station.

My dad and I were recommended this place and happy we came. Personable chefs and server, gave us some good choices and we weren’t disappointed. The beef was perfectly cooked, and portions were huge, worth the money. Small interior but cozy and warm! Would come back again next time in Birmingham!

Great bao buns and a great variety of options. The chicken, pork belly and duck were all delicious. The confit duck egg was very nice, but quite rich! Wish the bar was a bit deeper so that we could sit with our legs under. Was uncomfortable to sit at the bar.

The bao were fantastic - so light and fluffy - but the fillings were a bit hit and miss. We really liked the fried chicken bao (so much that we ended up ordering another) but the soft shell crab was a bit stingy in terms of portion size and the tofu missed the mark on texture. That said, the bill was decent at £30 for a two-person lunch, so I’d give it another go.

Very good and very casual pan asian dining! Need a snack or a hearty meal then walk in and be pleasantly met by quickly served up bao buns and rice bowls! I had just arrived in Birmingham after a 2 hour train ride from London and was really hungry, so I ordered the braised beef shin rice bowl for my lunch. This was both delicious and filling for the £12.50 charged. My eyes fell in love instantly before I demolished every last grain of rice in this stunning bowl of food (my mother would have approved). Service in here was lovely as the young girl taking my order was embarrassed to say they ran out of ice, but then proceeded to run to a local shop to get some. I really appreciate little things like that as they make you feel like valued customer. Love that the menu gives you a little guidance on how greedy to be with the bao buns! 1 for a snack and 2-3 for a meal, I always struggle to assess portions until I try them. Overall, brilliant little spot and definitely will be back to try more.

Superb bao. We had 4 different options (lamb, pork, chicken and duck). They were packed with flavour, with pickles and sauces complimenting the meat perfectly. Nice small selection of beers too, but opted for their Punchy non alcoholic drinks which went perfectly with the food

Delicious rice bowls, we had braised beef and duck breast, both were very tasty, aubergine as a side was a perfect add. Friendly environment and quick service … makes this place the perfect spot to have a meal on the run or a quick catch up with a friend, sitting places are limited to 10-12 people .
