Better then Starbuck, Costa. Staff were so friendly and they were well trained about the coffee art and it taste. The way of their presentation about coffee was impressive. I would love to vist this place again. In summer such a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the coffee.

This is a must visit cafe, it's a gem in Birmingham! I've been here a few times for my morning pick me up coffee and it has never disappointed. Coffee roast and quality is fantastic and I now visit regularly when in office for work/ commuting through Birmingham. The staff/ owners are so friendly and welcoming. I love my lattes and I highly recommend this place. Photo attached with the review is their Nutella latte (with oat milk).

The Coffee Bar Birmingham is a unique coffee place in Colmore Row and the surrounding coffee shops in the Birmingham City Centre. Two energetic young entrepreneurs who are good friends welcome you with smiles and energy. The coffee bar art decor is pleasing to the eye, and It is more than just drinking a high-end range of coffees and eating treats. You learn and educate what, where and why coffee drinking is all about. You come out feeling like a coffee connoisseur. The value for money is excellent, and money is in your pocket to return for a “second cupper” and more. Once you taste the coffee and treat, it's more than takeout or sitting coffee place. It's the ultimate experience. I highly recommend going there just for the experience. People of all ages enjoy the experience, from locals to international students and tourists. ❤️☕🥐

i was in birmingham two days and stopped by 3 times, would’ve been more if i could. my friend and i were walking by and the matcha latte caught our eye; sleek, modern design of the place pulled us in; above and beyond customer service and quality of the drinks kept us coming back :) i got a golden latte the first day and it was unreal, the perfect temperature, sweetness, warmth from the spices. next day was a matcha latte on oat milk, they use minor figures (one of my favourites) and the matcha is incredible. there’s this cinnamon/spiced undertone to it and the mouth feel is beautiful, i could go on. we were looked after so cheerfully, i can’t commend the staff enough. came back later for another golden latte as i won’t see the likes of it again once i’m home. i’d have loved to try the coffee there as i’m sure it’s top tier but sacrifices had to be made ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ if i’m ever back in the area this’ll be my first stop :) even when busy the staff are efficient, skilled, and happy to help/advise. please don’t give this place a pass, you won’t regret it.

Very nice little coffee shop not been going long but the staff are very and the house brew is very nice I like that all the drinks can be iced. It’s in a lovey location and it’s nice to sit out the front on a nice sunny day. The cold brew is my favourite drink from there.

Popped in today whilst on a one off trip to the city. The coffee was exceptional and beautifully presented. The guys seriously knew their stuff and clearly love working with good coffee. Came away with some beans to take home! Give the big chain coffee shops a swerve and head here instead. You’ll struggle to settle for less ever again.

Had my morning coffee here before heading to the 3D printing conference in NEC. It was a Colombian anaerobic natural sidra roasted by Obadiah coffeeroasters , full of tropical fruit with medium body. 🍍🥭 The banana cake was tasty too!🍌

Amazing coffee, great customer service, staff made me feel very welcomed. The music is perfect for a coffee shop and sets the aesthetics perfectly. Staff are very friendly and always up for a good conversation, they have an amazing range of filter and espresso coffee and really take pride in delivering the best service in Birmingham.

Americano served with a cup of water was very good. Surprised by the perfect ice latte here (after many failed attempts ending up with lukewarm lattes in other cafes) Also highly recommend the banoffee buns!

Really top notch coffee, especially if you're extremely picky about your coffee like I am. Great friendly service and really nice cakes as well. Also stocks good quality coffee appliances and beans that the proprietor is more than happy to share his extensive knowledge about.

You know a place knows their stuff when a cold brew tastes like an actual brew rather than liquid green coffee beans. Can't believe I missed out on this shop until they celebrated their 2nd birthday. There are 2 types of espresso beans available for those who like it traditional and those who like it fruity. They source coffees from UK and EU roasters, even the sprinkled chocolate used in their cappuccino is proper dark chocolate flakes, not those subpar sugary powder normally served at other places with the same price range. This is now my favourite place for a quality pick-me-up, whether it's a pour over, cappuccino or an affogato I know it will be👌🏼. ☕

See, I've been to several coffee shops in my search for decent coffee. I've gone through shop after shop thinking "This is too bitter" or "This is too weak", "This is plain horrible". Until I found the Coffee Bar. Nice atmosphere, nice coffee, outstanding service from the staff.

Amazing little coffee bar hidden away next to the Great Western arcade. Had a flat white with the guest beans and it was incredible. Highly recommend it if you’re around Birmingham city centre.

Amazing coffee, friendly staff and brilliant art! I come in with my partner and son and they always go above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, I buy my own coffee beans from here and genuinely have absolutely no complaints whatsoever, they also sell t-shirts that are so comfy, both me and my partner have one and you can't fault 100% organic cotton! The vibe is immaculate with calm music and a warm interior, genuinely the best coffee in Birmingham is made in there Sending love to the staff Al, Shannon, Matt and Beth ❣️🎉

By far my favourite coffee place as a local. Perfectly creamy house blend - I also love that they don't burn my mouth out with 100 degrees milk... A low bar, but they manage to surpass it by miles! Staff are also really friendly and sweet - A lovely little gem of a coffee bar :)

Best coffee in Birmingham, with friendly and super knowledgeable staff. Make sure to visit while the Manhattan bubblegum roast is in - it's outstanding. They offer great coffee at a range of price points from the standard ~£3 latte up to a £10 V60 pour over, ensuring that there's something for everyone. Will definitely be coming back!

My husband and I love it here, it’s our go to place for a coffee and a catch up in our lunch break. Husband swears the coffee is the best he has ever tasted and so it should be the team behind the counter know their stuff. I’m a tea drinker and their tea is delicious (no bog standard brews here). The cakes are fantastic, especially the almond brownie. The guys working in the shop are lovely, super friendly and helpful, if you have time don’t grab and go but sit and enjoy a chat.

I have been to many coffee shops in town, but this is by far the best coffee shop in Birmingham. The guys working there really know the art of making drinks. I would highly recommend the hot chocolate, this is the only place I have seen that actually make it with flakes and not the powder that normal shops serve. If you really want a good coffee or hot chocolate this is the place to go.

The coffee alone is five stars but the service is above and beyond the standard of most places. The staff there always make you feel welcome allowing you to enjoy the music and coffee.

Another great coffee for this season, was an honour to be the first to try it out. AL and the team are always coming up with great coffees and drinks. Orange with cardamom in a chocolate 😋

These guys are absolutely AMAZING the whole of Birmingham needs to know about this place. The atmosphere in here is second to none, a very inclusive coffee bar with a great variety of unique coffees, hot chocolates and much more 😍…there’s something for everyone at the coffee bar Birmingham. The staff are lovely and so helpful if you wanted to know which part of the world your coffee beans came from - just ask and they’ll tell you! Happy 2 years anniversary too 🥳 - you guys are the best.

They really care about quality here. I took my own mug and they made sure to warm it up appropriately before they began making anything. They are enthusiastic and knowledgeable and approachable. I work nearby and send people here all the time if they come in asking for coffee.

This is hands down THE best coffee shop in Birmingham. Where to start? The team is lovely, and provide perfect service whether you’re the only person inside or the place is filled. Al’s a true independent owner; passionate, hard-working, and welcoming to everyone. He knows exactly what you need, whether it’s a little silence or a little chit chat. The coffee is fantastic; they’re always bringing in new roasts, they have drinks for every taste, and their prices beat most of the other independents in the city centre. The bakery selection is locally ordered and always delicious. They have equipment for coffee enthusiasts to purchase too. There’s always jazz playing in the background, sometimes slow and soft, sometimes uptempo and engaging. The whole set up is beautiful, no other spot in the city centre has crafted the atmosphere, service and taste of The Coffee Bar. Highlights: the house roast latte, the V60, and the banana and chocolate loaf. Also, every 7th coffee is free!

The best coffee bar in Birmingham. If you want a proper coffee accompanied by a great specialty atmosphere this is the place to be. The staff have a wealth of knowledge on all things brewing and are always down to chat. Keep up the great work guys!

Absolute gem! Quite possibly Birmingham's best coffee! Ended up having 2 cortado's with their guest Ethiopian bean. Shot was pulled perfectly - sweet and balanced (not bitter or sour at all). Milk was perfectly foamed and not scalding. Sharron and Mathew were a delight to talk to and the passion for coffee really showed. The guys are tucked away just off pigeon park opposite House of Fraser- couldn't recommend these guys more if you love your coffee. Will definitely be regulars!

The Coffee Bar in Birmingham offers a quaint escape from the city centre with it's exquisite yet sophisticated range of coffees and cozy interior. The barista's are hospitable and knowledgeable when explaining their range of guest and house roasts. I frequently visit The Coffee Bar as it offers a unique experience each time making it the perfect spot to grab a coffee on the go or unwind after a busy day at the office.
