They did not stand by their lifetime warranty. They designed my wife's ring but when it broke said it was normal wear and tear. My feeling was that why would you design something that breaks from normal wear and tear. They said it happens with that kind of design. I couldn't help but laugh and say "why on earth would you offer that design then" Their response was a discounted repair on a platinum setting. I'm not totally discounting them because they do seem mostly knowledgeable (at least the jewlers) but I won't buy my wife's next piece of jewelry from here.

Kaplan’s has been absolutely amazing! I was gifted a family ring for my engagement ring and they have taken it in as if I purchased the ring there. I also landed on them to design and make a custom wedding band to match. They held my hand the whole way through and never left me waiting or wondering and dealt with my 50 questions a day. They do all their work on site which is comforting to know your jewelry isn’t being shipped out. Nina

I was so happy that Kaplans was open . I had several pieces of jewelry that had sentimental value and needed repair. I also had a valued diamond I wanted reset on a chain. Fortunately the Kaplans do all of their own bench work on the premises so you know your pieces are safe. They spent much time with me even though I wasn't purchasing anything. And Ivan fixed a beautiful bracelet and polished a decorative necklace clasp to it's original beauty and charged me for neither. We are very fortunate to have the Kaplans in our community as their inventory is quite distinctive and gorgeous , and their service to their customers is stellar!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Lisa to custom design the engagement ring of my dreams! My now fiancé, Sam and I went to her with my mothers diamond, tried on a number of things they had there to determine the overall look I wanted, and consulted with Ivan to see how my much desired baguette diamonds could be incorporated. Lisa was so patient and informative through the entire process (Sam learned a lot!) After that initial consult, I requested that all of the communication go through Sam to leave some element of surprise for me. He was provided with the CAD drawing to approve, sneakily had my mother pick up the ring for him and surprised me with this work of art in the Caribbean! Thank you SO much Lisa and Ivan!

Always such friendly and helpful staff. I needed my palladium band made smaller and they were able to do it over my lunch break and tightened and polished my other ring as well. I don't think they've looked so good since they were purchased 13 years ago!

Had an excellent experience with Tim, John, and Tammy. Looked all over the city to find a european cut diamond and John came through with a real winner. Tammy worked with the design I was trying to create (i.e. fit my lady's needs lol) and between her work and the final filigree/engraving, everything came out perfect. My fiance gets compliments all the time ("It looks like a princess ring!") and I could tell the staff was genuinely excited about putting together such a unique twist on a very traditional piece. Excellent communication and service, I have zero complains.

Dropped off a gold necklace to get the clasp fixed and was told 2 weeks. Never got a call or anything within that timeframe so I called after 3 weeks and was told it’ll be done next week, no call again, I called them after that week and was told wait another week, i said I am coming in to get it instead since it had now been 5 weeks and it magically was done all of the sudden once I said i was taking it somewhere else. They gabe me a run around for 5 weeks when it literally took them 5 seconds to fix after i put pressure on them about it.

Choosing Kaplan’s was the best decision I could have made for my engagement. I brought a family stone to them and fell in love with a setting that designed for another cut of diamond. Not only was the owner able to customize the ring in-house, but he did it free of charge and on an unheard of timeline. When I proposed, my fiancé was awestruck by the ring, but I was mortified because I had mistakenly ordered the wrong size. When I called Kaplan’s to ask if they could resize, they agreed to do it the very same day, and again, free of charge. You cannot find this kind of service with a chain jeweler, or anywhere else that I’ve heard of. The staff, especially Casey, was a godsend during the entire process. I procrastinated for a christmas/anniversary gift this past holiday season. I needed a duplicate of her wedding ring to go on the other side of the engagement ring. I called the week before christmas and talked with them to make my request. I did not expect to get it in time, it was my own fault for procrastinating. I could tell they knew I wish I had called sooner for my order. Their communication was great and they called me the day before christmas and said it was ready! I made it over there to pick it up! I was the seemingly rock star husband, but Egon was the real hero, they made it happen. Best jeweler in town.

We recently moved into the Borough of West Chester and have visited Kaplan’s on two occasions, once to purchase an engagement ring and once for watch repair.
