The lady Amy was very rude.my children are of mixed races and one wanted their ear pierced she refused saying she doesn't do that to colored people and go someone where. My child was so sad and crying we has plans of ear piercings and bday present shopping there. Never again will I take my kids their and never will I shop there. Shame on you for being so mean to a 3 year old

I stopped by during the week and they were closed. There was a sign on the door stating the hours were 11-6. It was 5:45. I came back a few days later and the hours were noted as 11-7. Doors locked! The floor/windows had totes and boxes of things piled up. I can’t even rate my experience with shopping here because they aren’t even open when they say they will be.

It's 12:32 and still no one is here. All I want to buy is some squishmellows.

I am a grown 27 year old man. And I finally had the courage to get my ears pierced yesterday. 10/10 great experience. The 16 year old professional ear piercer worked magic with that piercing gun. Will reccomend to all of my friends!

This girl named Brooklynn was a HUGE help. So my friend wanted to buy a phone case for 2$ And she bought one but it didn’t fit her phone so she let her return it but then she didn’t like the design of any of them so she brought out more than 20 phone cases just for her! I love Claire's & all of their products are super adorable!! My daughter got her ears pierced there and everything went amazingly! The only thing I have reservations about is the pricing of their products... Which, I do understand in this economy! My daughter was super into LOL Dolls, and they sold Underwraps there for $20! When you can get them as low as $11.88 on Amazon or Walmart! Avg price is $14.99 but hey, that's $5 cheaper! HOWEVER ~ a ton of their items are super unique. super fun & cant find at most any place, plus their accessories (whether child, teen, YA, or even ADULT are so super cute!) Necklaces, earrings, jewelry, theres way too much to list - I'd just suggest looking around b4 I bought an item that is sold elsewhere (e.g LOL Dolls, squeezimals)

Helpful and knowledgeable staff that took care of piercing my daughter's ears in a timely manner.

I went to Clair'e to buy a gift on Sunday morning and waited for 20 minutes after the store opening time. Other stores in the Valley West Mall opened on time but no employees showed up at this location. The front door never got unlocked. It is sad when the employees fail to come to work. Other customers walked up and looked at the locked front gate on the store and left. Claire's lost business today.

I'm so sorry to everyone who had a bad experience there. We are working to fix all the kinks but with staffing so low it's been a problem but we have new team members coming in. I am now the new Store Manager for valley west and I hope to see you all come back and give me a chance to make things right just give me a week or two please. Thanks all for your patience.

Bought a phone case from here about 2 weeks ago. The design on the back is almost completely gone and its cracked in about 3 different places. I've gotten a phone case off of Ebay for $2 that lasted longer than this one.

I was in the Valley West Mall store this afternoon in West Des Moines IA, in search of the Glitter Butterfly Spiral Notepad which was advertised on the Claire's website for $7.99. It was indicated that the item was available in the Valley West store and that it could be picked up in 2-4 hours. As I live just minutes away, I simply drove over. I was told in no uncertain terms that they are not allowed to honor the website price and that I would need to pay the full price of $12.99. Something does not seem right about that. As a side note, the two young ladies working were more interested in eating their large pizza which was in an open box, front and center, at the register. Customer service surely isn't what it used to be. I left the store and did not purchase the item. Doubt I'll be back.
