Our recent stay at Andaz Hotel was tarnished by an unexpected and distressing situation that occurred during the last two nights of our three-night vacation. Although the hotel itself has much to offer, the impact of an ongoing employee strike left us deeply disappointed and restless. Upon arrival, we were pleased with the hotel's ambiance and amenities. However, during our second and third nights, we were unfortunate to experience the constant noise caused by striking employees, which began at an ungodly hour and persisted throughout the early morning. The noise was intrusive and disrupted our sleep, making it nearly impossible to rest or enjoy our stay. Regrettably, it was evident that the hotel had not taken adequate measures to address this issue, despite its obvious impact on guests. The situation should have been communicated to us before our stay or addressed more effectively during our time at the hotel. As guests seeking relaxation and a tranquil atmosphere, we were disheartened by the lack of consideration for our well-being during this strike. The disruption not only affected our sleep but also marred our overall experience at Andaz Hotel. In light of the noise disturbances and the apparent oversight in handling the situation, we feel compelled to share our concerns in this review. While we recognize the hotel's potential for offering a pleasant stay, we urge the management to take immediate action in resolving the strike-related issues to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests. We hope that our feedback is taken constructively, and steps are taken to prevent similar situations from occurring in the future. As travelers seeking a memorable and relaxing stay, it is our wish that Andaz Hotel lives up to its reputation and maintains a high standard of guest satisfaction

Okay do this place is really nice. The room was big enough and had great views and comfy beds. Service was kind and had free snacks in the lobby. The pool deck on the roof is super pretty and they have a little market and a restaurant downstairs. What I hate is the parking. I know this is sunset and parking on sunset is limited so they can get away with high prices but I really feel like charging $70 a night for parking is crazy. And it's valet only. That one thing bothered me because I feel like it's taking advantage of the customers. But otherwise this place was great and I had a nice stay. Wonderful and convenient location.

Suites are large but had strong food smell from previous occupants food getting into carpet and some of the furniture is showing wear and tear as far as stains, etc. Front desk said they had no other suites to switch me to - understood that happens. Additionally service was a tale of two stories - the folks in the cafe serving breakfast were super nice and friendly. Front desk - different story, some were nice, helpful and some others didn’t seem super interested in providing the best customer experience.

Location was excellent and the service was above par. However the rooms and hallways were not that of a 4* hotel. I was definitely disappointed in the quality of the rooms and overall cleanliness of the hotel. I was expecting a 4* experience and I got a 3 but for the price felt like 2. Not worth the money in my opinion, best western next door seemed like a better option after all.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Provide complimentary water and snacks. Cafe on site for coffee and pastries and restaurant. The property includes a roof top patio and bar with amazing views. The rooms are large with a big walk in shower and floor to ceiling windows with amazing views. However some rooms you can hear the traffic. One downside is the property is valet only for $60 but they provide a QR code to text the valet which proved you an eta for your car so your not waiting.

This is an ideal location for anyone traveling into LA / Hollywood area. Its centrally located to many attractions (Hollywood, Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica Pier, etc.). The rooms were spacious, clean and had great views. The rooftop pool and bar was beautiful. The onsite restaurant offered fantastic breakfast, diverse menu selections and plenty of options for my kids as well. Beyond the location and atmosphere, the staff was great also! Walter Rivers, the front desk host, was very polite and helpful. Upon arrival he Walter was very welcoming; he assisted my family of six with an early check in, provided tips on local attractions and dining options. I HIGHLY recommend Andaz West Hollywood for the accommodations, location and staff to everyone.

We stayed for 4 days in July with a Suite and extra room and spent over 4,000 dollars. My daughter had a procedure and every one couldn’t have been nicer. We came back a week later for one night because it was just too hot in the desert. We had a big problem at the front desk because my concierge service put the reservation in my husbands name. They wouldn’t process us even though I have my own credit card. The day manager came out and shamed us. Rachel made us feel unwelcome and feel bad. I had to recommend making a new reservation. She was demeaning, officious and we stayed because we were flying out the next day. Sorry we liked the hotel under different circumstances.

Spent three nights at this centrally located hotel with many restaurants, bars, and hot spots within walking distance. The Comedy Store is steps away and a must visit! Our flight arrived at 11am and we went straight to the hotel and were able to store our luggage. We were supposed to receive a text when our room was ready but didn’t receive any communication so that was the only hiccup. They have a complimentary snack bar which is a nice touch. Great rooftop pool area with nice views. Our room was spacious and clean!

Great hotel. Well placed on Sunset. The staff are friendly, polite and efficient...the rooms are in good order, bathroom was well equipped and nice shower with really nice bathing accessories (shower gel, shampoo and body lotion). Will definitely stay again

This is a return trip to the Andaz and it’s become our must stay hotel when we are in Los Angeles. The rooms are nice, but the vibe of the hotel is what keeps us coming back. The rock and roll history, the VIEWS of Sunset from the rooms AND the amazing rooftop pool. As nice as the hotel is, the staff is top notch, friendly and truly committed to making sure guests enjoy their stay. We were greeted by our names by Dior at the front desk the second time we saw her, very friendly and had great suggestions for a restaurant. The neighborhood is great and fun and safe to walk. We look forward to a return visit to the Andaz.

Wow! Nice, clean rooms. Very good service from cool people. Best location - Comedy Store to the left and Saddle Chop Ranch to the right. Also check out the hotels previous history. I will be back!

I stayed at room 906 I checked out Oct.21 11am. Unfortunately i forgot my couple of personal items. When i arrive Canada, i ll give them a call. I thought they would shipped my belongings however they said room is cleaned and there was not any items left at the room. It was definitely my mistake but the team is there looking to take advantage of the clients. So be extra careful!

Awesome rooftop with epic view, super friendly housekeeping and bar staff. Beds were comfy and housekeeping continued to bring us any supplies we needed each night quickly. Wish the rooftop bar was open in winter, a few heaters up there and it could be a hopping hangout! The hotel has some cool music history. I would have rated it five stars except- We didn't use valet service because there were so many reviews about damage to cars or excessive mileage when cars were returned. This was confirmed for us when we checked out and the gentleman in front of us had an issue with his car and the person working the front desk told him "we're still checking the cameras". The first set of valets when we arrived were so rude and mocked my spouse, he refused to leave his key with them. All the rest of the valets were pleasant and friendly, but we did NOT park our car on the premises. There are two lots easily walkable from the hotel that are half the price. No damage to our car.

If I could give there beds and pillows a higher rating I would. I don't normally sleep well when going abroad however they did warn us on the signs In the room there maybe noise, I didn't hear a thing got such a good night sleep. Unlike most hotels this has its own fridge great for my dad which was a diabetic. There were 3 rooms we booked as 6 in total were booked it would of been nice if we had a room over looking the beautiful city instead of a car park. We weren't in the room that much but would of been nice. There was an issue with parking however that had been resolved as their system went down. Overall very clean hotel and has free glasses of wine tasting in the afternoon. Please check for times as may have changed. They also offer free coffee in the morning and snacks that are near the reception which is a nice touch. Overall would stay here again as West Hollywood has alot to offer nearby and if you are taking a car has its own valet parking at a charge. For those coming from the UK please bare in mind resort fees and parking fees. Resort was $30 dollars plus tax and valet parking was $60 plus tax. This wasn't included in my package holiday and is an extra. Just for those on a budget may come as a nasty surprise.

Great Hotel and Great location. Roof top pool has an amazing view and modern feel. Workers were very friendly including the receptionist Dior who always went out of her way to make the stay a great experience. Free snacks in the lobby were awesome and a great touch.

It could have been an easy 1 star review but the front desk had nice attitude to solve problems. I’m not picky when it comes to a necessary hotel stay. However, I can’t compromise on cleanliness, especially when the check-in time was delayed to 7pm because of house keeping. I found some leftover of a take-out Caesar sauce in the tv shelf… Room is nice though. Very roomy suite with quite low cost.

Our 2nd but not last stay at The Andaz. Great rooms very spacious and clean, incredible views we stayed strip side. Pool was amazing, restaurant was great. All the staff were so helpful, shout out to Dan who made our stay superb.

The only good at this hotel is my location. BE CAREFUL Do not stay here, especially if you are women traveling without a men. The valet will stalk you, hit on you and when you turn them down. They follow you to your room. The only lady that works there Olivia needs her job so she can’t even speak up about the crassly behavior she sees from valet. Then don’t try to complain the nonchalant director of Operations Daniel Kantona needs to be fired. He is very dismissive and doesn’t care how woman are being attacked, with unwanted sexual harassment and stalking from his staff. Not to mention I had to put in a complaint at the Hyatt consumer affairs department to even get a response from Daniel. My 24 year old daughter and I were so disappointed with the behavior we checked out earlier and changed our flights. That’s how unsafe we felt. I have traveled the entire world from Cairo Egypt to Ocho Rios Jamaica and never once have I felt so disrespected, unsafe and my voice unheard.

It was a pleasant stay! The room was big with a king bed and a living room area and a fantastic view of the city. Quiet hotel but theme with music in mind so it is interesting to see the events they have daily at the lobby. Rooftop pool and bar is a n or small space but smell of marihuana is heavy. Restaurant at the lobby where you have breakfast was delicious and with a good enough menu for a few days of not repeating the same food. Service was on point from the valet parking guys to the lobby (Walter) to the waitress at the restaurant to the housekeeping staff everyone was friendly, kind, helpful, and very willing to help! The best thing is the location as it is very centric to everything you want to do in LA WORTH STAYING!

Wish I could go above 5 stars with the service. I arrived late in the evening and was helped by Dior. She was absolutely amazing and made me feel more than welcome. The hotel is fortunate to have someone like her. You can count on my return business! Great room - clean, modern and comfy

As a music guy, I love the history of this place. The place still has an interesting vibe left from its glorious past, which saves the place from a one-star rating. My wife and I were invited for breakfast last Saturday. I had the eggs benedict, and my wife the avocado toast. On both plates, we had almost hard-boiled eggs - and I had the worst Cappuccino I had in ages. I doubt I will ever go again. Worse: if invited, I will try to convince the person to go elsewhere. A shame really. As I live in LA, we did not stay but just met for a business breakfast.

Overall a good hotel. Good views of LA and surrounding areas. Nice rooftop (sometimes it's closed for private events though). Breakfast is good but super expensive. Don't park there. There are alternatives 2-3min away that are 1/4 of the price

Great location, easy to get anywhere. The rooms are pretty average at best. The staff, on the other hand, I can only base on the one lady I conversed with, but she was dismissive and quite rude. Overall, it's a solid place but pretty average.

This place has really gone downhill since I stayed here back in 2019. Rooms are really worn down and in need of renovation. My door would not open as the lock ran out of batteries in the middle of my stay so had to wait for maintenance to fix it while I had an important meeting to run to. They used to have complimentary snacks and drinks in the mini bar which is now gone. Room service is also gone. Sad as I used to love staying here.

Very fun and happening hotel if you're visiting the area. The lobby is true to the Hollywood atmosphere. Rooftop pool and bar have beautiful views and great service. My room was clean and could see sunset Blvd right outside. It is a noisy area so keep that in mind but it's not too bad. Food was good at the hotel as well - particularly breakfast.

  • 5/5 Amanda G. 9 months ago on Google
Loved our room, very spacious and open. We enjoyed the rooftop pool and had such an awesome time, however, our last night they’re the pool was closed for a private event and hotel. Guess were not allowed up. This was a big bummer for us because we had planned our day around going to the hotel pool but signs were not put up until around 5 PM. My suggestion for the hotel is to plan ahead and communicate accordingly. We had our car with us, and the valet was incredibly kind and efficient. This is a perfect location as you are really close to everything important in LA! We will be back

Very tired rooms with no amenities. This hotel is not what an Andaz hotel should be. We weee completely underwhelmed and surprised to find that the quality of the rooms was more like a 3 star hotel. Dark, smelly, thick dust on vents, lights flickering, headboards and furniture all chipping, no water, not even a pen and note pad in the room! Also if your room is facing Sunset Blvd expect noise and a lot of lights. Outside of that, the reception and breakfast area was welcoming and staff were lovely and understood why we checked out early because of the standard of the hotel rooms.

Great location! Amazing views. Not the most kid friendly due to a lack of amenities. Also don't stay on level 12 on NYE the roof noise was a lot over night. Also a good amount of street noise from the busy street.

Great hotel. Centrally located. The view is the best part, with a small sun room off of the main room. Great staff, rooftop pool. Only complaint is the shower is hard to use, and has no water pressure. Excellent hotel gym with free weights, machines, and 3 Pelotons. One of the better hotel gyms.

  • 5/5 Nicole E. 2 years ago on Google
The staff here is amazing. They create such a lovely experience. From the event coordination down to the valet parking and housekeeping, each staff member is friendly and helpful. The bar has amazing drinks, the rooms are beautiful and the pool area has the loveliest views. It's in a great location ,there are so many restaurants and bars around if you want to mix things up. The beds are so comfortable and the suites are fantastic and the hotel has such an awesome history. If you want a great experience on the sunset strip be sure to stay at The Andaz.

  • 5/5 Kamalika R. 2 years ago on Google
Good location, big rooms, good service. We stayed in the king room with views of the hills. The rooms on the front side face the Sunset Blvd which I didn't want. The poolside chairs were not well maintained after people used them. Their gym was really good. Restaurant had very minimal options. Rooms, cleanliness and service are good here along with the location. Will stay again.

  • 2/5 Brian P. 2 years ago on Google
Nice rooms but no in room coffee machine, no room service, and no heat. Have literally never stayed in a hotel where they gave me a space heater and made me pick up my food from the lobby at this price point. Really disappointing. The bar closes at 9. The pool restaurant is totally closed. Just feels like major Covid cut backs have become permanent.

  • 2/5 Ted L. 2 years ago on Google
Staff is friendly and helpful, but the rooms are dated. The 3rd floor is by the parking lot, which is noisy at night. I accidentally left a few nice belongings when I checked out, and staff were unable to locate them a day later. This did not meet my expectations of a Hyatt facility. You're paying for the location and not the hotel.

This Andaz hotel has a great Location and some of the best cocktails and food that I’ve experienced. Food items you don’t want to miss in particular would be their breakfast French toast and the Cheese Pizza. Some of the amenities listed are not operational in full swing which maybe due to the current circumstances. Overall, if you’re planning a nice stay in a prime location and close to touristy places like the Universal and Warner Bros and the walk of fame, Andaz offers a pleasant stay!!

  • 2/5 Nelly B. 2 years ago on Google
Ended up checking into the Andaz and checking right out. The room was quite dirty, stains on the carpet and looked unvacuumed. Surfaces were dusty and it really didn’t come across as a 4 star hotel. However, the staff was amazing and so understanding and helpful. Unfortunately we left to go to the One Hotel and it felt a lot nicer in comparison.

This was absolutely the best hotel experience I have ever had. The staff here is so friendly, efficient, and just genuinely nice people. The view from the rooftop pool is stunning. The sunrise will blow you away. The food in the restaurant is delicious as well. I literally have nothing bad to say about this place. 10/10 would recommend.

  • 5/5 Carmen M. 1 year ago on Google
Large rooms with plenty of space. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great blackout curtains. Sink sort of leaked water all over right side of bathroom counter and not great lighting, but still liked room. We didnt use any of the food/bar or amenities so I cant comment to service, and location depends on what you're doing, but the surrounding area was very nice.

Best location to explore Los Angeles, close to everything. A lot of places to eat and shop around. Close proximity to tourist traps and else.. Check in was easy, room was clean, decor was modern, everything worked in the room, elevator was fast. Breakfast menu could be improved, due to their bakery items not being made in house, sometimes those items arrives later than early morning. Valet personnel are very attentive, also text to retrieve the car is fast and easy.

Another memorable stay at my home away from home. Great location, fantastic service and well-appointed rooms. Big thx to John at the front desk for being a real champ who went above and beyond to help me with some difficult arrangements, making my stay very smooth. The rooms had little problems here and there, and sometimes the music and lights from outside would be a bit loud on the weekends, but the A-Team staff more than made up for these occasional lapses. Will keep going back to this property for sure!

From the moment my friends and I pulled up to the door, to the final goodbye from the parking attendants, this was one of the most memorable and lovely stays we've ever had. A quick two nights felt like an entire week of exciting revelry thanks to the efforts, kindness, and sheer professionalism of the staff. The GM, Julien, was a true hospitality king and Hyatt should do everything in their power to promote and keep him in their ranks. From the happy hour wine to the poolside bar, this hotel is the perfect spot for those who crave a walkable LA neighborhood (a rarity) with enough food & entertainment to last you from brunch to 3AM. Could not recommend Andaz enough.

Stayed at this hotel a few times and the service on my last stay was outstanding. From front desk, to bar to the team in the restaurant. Relaxed vibe but still professional and prompt. Wine or coffee on check in is a nice bonus and a great pool with stunning views. Always my go to for LA for the price point.

We had a wonderful stay over 4 nights and all the staff were wonderful. The atmosphere was great and they helped with everything from assisting with our travel requirements, sightseeing activities to the streaming of my Australian football team game. A really big thanks to Dior who was absolutely wonderful. Every time she greeted us was a pleasure and she personalised our experience with suggestions for places my daughter would enjoy. Big thanks Andaz, keep rocking.

Stayed there for a weekend. Staff is friendly and helpful! Room was clean, big and modern. Complimentary water and wine when we arrived. Great location, nice hotel! I would pick this one again 😊

Probably the worst hotel experience I've encountered with the Hyatt. We stopped by early to see if early check in was possible, front desk said no rooms but will text us when our room was ready. She did not text us, we came back 3 hours later to check. At check in, I said I could take my own bags up with the bell cart. Staff said they had to do it, so I said no problem. Get into the lobby, they said to for me to just take it up. Odd. At check out, I noticed an extra charge saying we dined at the restaurant when we didn't. Asked us multiple times if we dined in the hotel explained we never even step foot into the restaurant at any point of our stay. Had to follow up hours later to get a refund and a note on the folio "Guest claims this is a mistake. Did not eat on our property" Piss poor service.

A little costly, but worth the extra money over staying off of Sunset Blvd. If you have Hyatt, use the points to get a better offer! Lobby is beautiful and grand. Rooms are a generous size and very modern. I stayed here when I was on Wheel Of Fortune in 2019!

  • 5/5 Kevin D. 1 year ago on Google
Great family stay! I would recommend the Andaz to everyone. The staff was awesome and greeted us with a smile as soon as we arrived! TJ and John at the front desk were the best and they were always available to help us. We will be back for sure!

Andaz is the perfect place to stay in LA--wonderful large rooms, great location, and an amazing staff. Emilio had reached out before our stay to ensure we had anything and everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and once we arrived Chris, Charlie, Peter and several other members of the hotel staff went above and beyond to make the stay truly one of the best experiences for us.

  • 5/5 Matt A. 1 year ago on Google
Lots of good hotels in the area, but this one really separated itself with a combination of service, style, and a great location. Really enjoyed our stay here, we were upgraded to a room with a fantastic view of the city, spent lots of time at the rooftop pool area. While the hotel itself is great, it has a special appeal if you like staying at hotels with a cool history.

My partner and I chose to stay at the Andaz as part of our travel to the US from Australia, and our experience was so amazing here that we decided to extend our time in LA. The rooms were spacious, modern, clean and the hotel itself is in an amazing location right on the famous sunset boulevard. The highlight of our stay however, was the professionalism and kindness of the staff that work here. From the check-in staff, right through to the bell service and security, the staff were so helpful and so willing to accomodate us to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, and I will be staying here each time I travel to LA in the future. If you want a modern, clean and comfortable hotel, stay here!
