This
hostel
is
far
from
the
best
HI
we've
been
to
but
I'm
sure
it
ain't
the
worst.
Our
experience
was
rocky
from
the
start.
The
system
at
reception
was
down.
When
it
came
back
up
they
weren't
aware
what
website
we
booked
with
and
the
amount
of
the
deposit
we
made,
they
then
had
to
convert
our
deposit
from
USD
to
CAD
and
proceeded
to
subtract
it
from
the
grand
total,
all
of
this
on
a
calculator.
Meanwhile
I
had
to
wait
in
a
room
with
no
A/C
watching
everything
play
out.
Don't
get
me
wrong
I
can
understand
waiting
for
a
downed
system
but
having
to
do
manual
maths
to
give
me
a
total
for
my
stay
felt
out
of
place.
When
that
was
done,
we
were
shown
to
our
room,
Room
#1.
A
typical
hostel
bedroom
that
can
sleep
up
to
7.
Room
had
no
A/C
therefore,
you
had
to
sleep
with
the
window
open
not
to
suffocate.
This
is
quite
a
downfall
for
light
sleepers
since
the
bedroom
faces
a
semi-busy
street
with
a
decent
amount
of
traffic,
a
hospital
2
blocks
down
so
if
a
ambulance
passes
by
your
sure
to
wake
up,
and
during
wildfire
season
there
can
be
a
smokey
sent
in
the
room
that
can
become
irritating.
To
add,
windows
do
not
have
blinds
therefore
make
sure
to
bring
a
blindfold
if
you
cannot
endure
light.
On
a
lighter
note,
the
bedrooms
have
massive
lockers
so
you
can
put
all
your
stuff
in
but
dont
forget
your
locks.
This
hostel
also
only
has
1
shower
and
2
washrooms
per
floor
thus
at
times
can
be
really
busy.
Trying
to
take
a
shower
or
use
the
bathroom
can
be
a
challenge
especially
when
the
house
is
packed.
There
is
no
parking
on
the
grounds
or
on
the
hostel's
street.
The
only
parking
available
on
the
property
has
been
converted
to
an
employee
parking.
Parking
can
be
found
about
100m
away
on
the
side
of
a
city
park.
The
hostel
is
also
located
about
2.5km
from
the
downtown
area
which
can
be
a
long
walk
during
those
30C+
degrees
days.
On
the
bright
side,
pancakes
and
coffee
are
served
from
7-10
everyday.
