Extremely disappointed. Sushi was bland or just downright gross. Ordered a spicy tuna roll and it was literally a tuna roll with Sriracha literally dumped in gobs on top. Ordered an avocado roll with tobiko, specifically requested to be *inside* the roll (this is my fave roll and I order it every time I get sushi) I got a cup of tobiko on the side. When ordering I specified which rolls were for which meal and each roll came in an individual container; how wasteful. This was the 3rd chance for Bluetail and I have been equally disappointed every time. Will not be ordering from them again. Went to Bluetail Sushi on a Thursday night and the restaurant was busy. There were continuous take out orders being picked up during our time at the restaurant so you know their fish are fresh. We ordered the love boat, Belly dance roll (left), BC roll (middle), spicy tuna (right), cucumber roll (bottom left), and a Sake Sangria. My family and I enjoyed all their rolls. Service was fast and friendly. Will definately recommend this restaurant to others if they are in Kelowna. Note, I love how they provide a thicker disposable napkin.

I shared a sushi dinner with my family at Bluetail recently and we tried some new rolls! (The lighting isn't great in the restaurant, so excuse the darker photos.) After some miso soup & brussel sprouts to start with, we dove into the rolls! We had a couple veggie rolls and a rabbits roll (both great for veggies & flavor!), a BLT roll (loved the deep fried beet), a super supper roll (much calmer flavor wise), and an avo crispy rice roll (which is totally different sort of roll, but a favorite among us all!) Dad tried the yakisoba dish which he enjoyed as well and though initially skeptical at the size of the dish, was just right in the end. Staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. I gave 4/5 atmosphere as the music got to be a bit much and over-powering your conversation a bit. Regardless, we've enjoyed exploring the menu and look forward to our next meal and adventure at Bluetail!

Some dishes are good, the chirashi had too much sauce sauce and overwhelmed the entire dish. The sauce was all I ate and remember… the rolls are ok and the udon soup was flavourful but too salty. This place used to be better than this… Came back again, soba pepperoncino has good taste and texture but too much sauce and TOO salty. Beef tatami quality has dropped, fried Brussels sprout is good. Overall still got good variety and taste. Good atmosphere with K-pop bgm. And they also dropped a bunch of noodle soup from the menu :(

Love this place. Food is excellent, reasonable prices, good selections. Enjoy the diner, the staffs as well. If you haven't been there before, give it a try. You won't be disappointed

Sushi was enjoyable! I found it odd that the hot sauce was just squirted onto the spicy tuna, and the Rock and Roll was a bit bland after the spicy tuna. Otherwise, there was great service and decent portions for the rolls. Tempura was tasty, but again it was odd that a huge piece of broccolini was not cut a bit more, it was literally the size of my hand.

There a few weeks back. Super fresh food and attentive staff. Definitely a place to go back to when I am in the neighborhood.

Fantastic lunch, great service. Very clean and friendly staff. I order a large amount of food for one person with the intention of taking leftovers for a snack later. I had to hold back on my eating as everything was so delicious. Very fair pricing compared to other sushi restaurants I have visited. Highly recommend.

We ordered a love board. The taste was disappointing. Never try again I'm sorry. Especially Sunomono🥲 People are friendly and kind. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing service, friendly staff, superb food! When they say "enough for 3" believe them! Even though your going to want to eat till it hurts. Will be our new favorite spot to spoil ourselves (and it's not even expensive! You get a lot of GREAT food)

The food is really good and the staff was friendly. Serving sizes are great and there is a mix of dishes, rolls and drinks. The deep fried icecream is a must have. Great for everyone, meat, fish or veggie lovers. Great place for a date or family dinner.

I usually order Bluetail twice a month and am always pleased with their quality. However the last 2 times I have ordered with Skip the dishes my order comes with my rice missing and cold chicken. Seems like they dont care about the quality of their food or service when you are ordering through an online food service. Probably wont be ordering food from here in the future. Very disappointing.

Great experience here. Service was fast, staff was good, food was great. Great selection of nigiri, reasonably priced, all of the ingredients were great quality and the flavor was great in everything. Not even super expensive either which surprised me, given the quality. Just normal price. Definitely coming back here

We enjoyed dining in last night here. We had a later dinner, so the later hours for this location of remaining open was great. We ordered: Salmon tuna sashimi Tuna karage (this was very delicious) Bluetail tempura (the lobster was amazing in this!!!) Red dragon roll (would not recommend, not much flavor) and deep fried matcha ice cream for dessert!

Nice sushi place near the hotel I stayed at. The sushi was good. The rice felt wanting (not enough rice vinegar/sweetener or it was left out drying too long) The atmosphere is dark and typical of trendy places these days. What I really enjoyed was a little girl, quite excited for her birthday, wasn't looked down on by patrons or staff when she was loud. The staff themselves were very attentive, and that kind service goes a long way! Prices are very good considering.

My granddaughter is a big fan of salmon sashimi. We took her out for lunch at the Commerce location recently. The service was friendly and prompt, all the dishes were very good and the cost reasonable. We had Salmon Sashimi, Teriyaki Chicken combo, Miso Soup and a Dynamite Roll. We will definitely be back.

This place is really amazing loved their menu and surprisingly the price? they are cheaper than usual sushi place. We definitely be coming back here for sure. Oh and yesss staff were so attentive and friendly,

Went for the first time to try the "Love Boat" on our 10yr anniversary and I'm very glad that we did! Everything was absolutely delicious, well-paired, and perfectly portioned for the pair of us. The spicy miso was very tasty without being overpowering (probably safe even if you can't handle too spicy). The sunomono salad was very refreshing and paired surprisingly well with the sashimi. The tempura was all excellent as were the California rolls, and the service was wonderful! I think this is the third or fourth sushi place we have tried in Kelowna, and it is definitely the best! Truly a standout restaurant, and quite reasonably priced. Also, it was a good thing we went a bit earlier because we didn't make a reservation and the place filled up completely not long after; probably a good idea to book ahead here which I will be doing for our next visit! Thanks a lot for making our anniversary dinner such an enjoyable experience!

Popped in for the lunch special because I was in the area. Very high quality for the reasonable price, and the service was super fast with just the right amount of attention. I was able to order a real crab California roll in the special too! Based on this experience, it’s worth going out of my way for lunch in the future. P.S. the spicy miso hit the spot!

It was very tasty, I had avocado fries avocado and yam rolls. Avocado fries and rolls were great, yam rolls were triple the size. Wheng had a teriyaki chicken bento meal. She very much enjoyed it, would recommend but is very busy be warned!

The whole experience was great. As for me, the best sushi in Kelowna. Service was quick and efficient. And prices are decent as well. Lobster roll and King Shrimp rolls are the best!

Wow incredible meal. Took my grandparents here and the quality was exceptional. So many options for specialty rolls. Service was so friendly and food came so quick.
