The views of downtown Pittsburgh from here are just breathtaking. It's free to visit and there's also free street parking close by. We didn't have trouble finding a spot. There are no other visitor amenities. On a sunny day, plan to come here around noon (or later) for the best photos. If you are here during the morning hours, you'll be facing the sun directly, so photos will be very glary. Bring a good camera.

one of the best sights in Pittsburgh, there is not only one point to photograph the city, you can take a short walk to go through Grandview to see different views, great for day and night photos as it has great lighting. Offer to take other people's pictures too!

A must visit place when traveling to the beautiful city of Pittsburgh. There’s a great scenic view of the city from this location. It has some of the oldest buildings in the area. Parking is curb side and very limited. Do not attempt to go there by bike or scooter as the hill is very steep.

Grandview Overlook offers spectacular views of downtown Pittsburgh day and night. From the overlook one can see the Monongahela River, Allegheny River, and the Ohio River. Many Pittsburgh neighborhoods can be seen from the overlook including South Side Flats, the Northside neighborhoods, and views on a clear day out to Oakland with the Cathedral of Learning serving as a landmark. Benches are available in some spots to take in the view.

The view is amazing! Def worth a stop here. I'm sure it looks even better on a day with clear blue sky.

This was probably one of the most memorable things we done while in Pittsburgh. The views from Grandview Overlook were absolutely beautiful. We went during the daytime and the views were great. I would think if a person wanted the best Overlook of the city, a night view would be the ultimate time to go. If you are in the downtown Pittsburgh area I would highly recommend checking out Grandview Overlook. There are some small shops and eateries within walking distance from the Duquesne Incline. Paid parking is available along the Overlook but like all large cities, parking can be hard to find. I also highly recommend checking out the ice cream shop just down from Duquesne Incline.

I have visited this place plenty of times or let me say this anytime I get bored in Pittsburgh I visit this overlook. I feel happy to see Pittsburgh skyline (specially in the evening and night), point state park's top view. Loved it. If you are in Pittsburgh visit this and take incline as well.

Very nice view of the entire city, can see lots of bridges. Super sunny and hot at mid day summer, bring enough water and prepare a hat is always good idea. Lots of other lookouts along Mount Washington too, short walk between each other but a bit hilly so need some effort.

Simply awesome. Try and reach late evening during daylight and then stay until it's gets dark. Downtown looks superb. Wish the fountain at point state park was operational, view would have been even better.

The Grandview Overlook boasts the perfect view of Pittsburgh's Golden Triangle. The Overlook, as it is called by locals, is located on Mount Washington, a 450-foot hill that is popular among residents and tourists alike. The Overlook runs the length of Mount Washington and provides vantage points of Pittsburgh's beautiful Skyline. we parked street side parking and enjoyed the look from the 2 overlooks. both are adjacent to each other. The Grandview Overlook is also located within the impressive Emerald View Park, a 257-acre park that consists of the Grandview Scenic Byway, and three historic spaces; the Grandview Overlook, Olympia, and Mount Washington. It is a perfect spot to watch a gorgeous Pittsburgh sunset. and free to visit.

One of the best spots to view the city. There are different lookout pillers that give you different angles of the city. Definitely worth checking out especially at night when the city is all lit up!

A wonderful spot to see for a view of the city! We went in the daytime this time and it's just as pretty as going at night. I'd definitely recommend doing daytime and night. Night is pretty with all the lights lit up. Down fall, accessibility is terrible and parking is hard to find.

Great views even on a cloudy day. A lot of road closures made an interesting drive up.

Beautiful spot to have a great skyline view of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania . Visitors who love to get a perfect click of the downtown must visit this area. I visited on a rainy day but still awestruck with the little cliff view. Neatly maintained area with limited car parking space . Visit this place with a spectacular view and let me know how u enjoyed during your visit.

This view left me astonished. Pittsburgh is one of the prettiest cities in the United States. The breathtaking view of the city at night is even more impressive. Every time I visit from out of town I enjoy this city more than previously.

Every city should have an overlook like this. It’s a great spot with a nice walkway and a decent amount of free parking. The views it provides of Pittsburgh are second-to-none and you could really spend an hour or so up here just admiring the view. I’m not a Pittsburgh native but this view definitely made me, well, maybe not β€œfall in love” with Pittsburgh, but it definitely made me really like it and want to come back.

This place is amazing and I always spend sometime on my every visit. The views are amazing in all seasons and I can just sit here for hours together. The night time looks amazing with all the lights and it's always easy to find parking.

The view from here is absolutely stunning. It is possibly one of the grandest city overlooks I have visited. You can see the entire city with great river views and many bridges this city is famous for. Parking is limited and the drive is pretty steep, but well worth the effort. Best views seem to be at night.

The place to see the skyline of Pittsburg. The skyline is as beautiful as it can be. There some construction work going on on the overlook. Currently it is closed. Still the skyline can be viewed from the un barricaded sides.

There is no doubt that this place highlights how beautiful Pittsburgh is. Unfortunately, there are some missed opportunities when it comes to accessibility, parking and overgrown vegetation blocking the view of this naturally and man-made beautiful city at fork of the Ohio river. Parking is scarce and difficult with no UTurns and sudden dead-ends and one ways on side streets, but it is nearly impossible for a wheelchair user. There were no obvious accessible spots and those along the road were along uneven curbs and paths, no room to get a chair out, traffic whizzing by, and parking meters without enough room for a chair to allow the occupant to reach it. I did enjoy being able to get an overview of the city and seeing all the action on the river.

The Grandview overlook is one of Pittsburgh's best, viewpoints. The view of the city and the rivers and bridges is always stunning and the colors are amazing. The only thing is to just be aware of your surroundings because it is not always the safest part of Pittsburgh. Personally, I've never had any issues up there but I know that some people have. Overall, I would definitely recommend this, as well as the West End Overlook as my two favorite spots to look at the city from above.

The view from Grandview was amazing! Even on a foggy day it took our breath away! We took the Duquesne Incline up and walked the 1/2 mile to the overlook. Totally worth it!

Beautiful place to watch downtown Pittsburgh and the Monongahela River. You can see beautiful color transition in the sky during sunset. At night the view is magnificent. All the buildings light up and the reflection on the water is just breathtaking. Highly recommended.

Lovely view of the downtown and the golden triangle and the point state park. We enjoyed walking by the sidewalk. Cars can be parked along the side walk itself

Nice view of the city! Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Not too over crowded, it was a nice stop for a short evening stroll.

Beautiful Panoramic view of the skyline of Pittsburg. Parking is on the streets. We strolled through the sidewalks soaking in the views. Wish we had gone there during evening to catch a glimpse of the skyline during night with the all the lights.

Amazing view of Pittsburgh skyline. Visited during daytime, but thought that city lights would look amazing in the night hours, and spot on! As the lights started to turn on after sunset, it looked absolutely beautiful. Must watch!! Easy bokeh effects with a decent camera!!
