How did I only discover this place now!? The food tasted so great and the flavor make it feels like having a homemade meal at someone's home. The specials apparently vary every week. We had stuffed roasted acorn and chili (lentils) from the specials menu and the oyster mushroom OG tender from the regular menu. All were super delicious. Also had the refined sugar free raspberry chocolate cheesecake which was AMAZING! Could tell they use high quality ingredients. The owner talked to us and is very passionate about sticking to using organic and quality food. Highly recommend! We've had their special thanksgiving catering which complemented the whole meal super well. Also have visited the new location at West Village and the food was super yummy as usual. The dining setting is much nicer than the East Village location.

There's a lot of good vegan options in this neighborhood, but this is definitely worth a trip. The Mac & cheese balls were really delicious, maybe the best of that kind of dish I've had. The fried oyster mushroom sandwich was also good, though it could have maybe used some more veggies. My partner loved her risotto. We also got dessert and the cheesecake was great. The service was slightly slow - it was Friday evening - but really friendly. Prices are typical for the Village. They had wine and beer but those prices were really very high. They had a great tea selection with nice presentation. One unexpected benefit was some really lovely live music, which they have several times per week.

Warm food and warm conversation, both with great flavor. It’s no wonder this gem has withstood 22 years. Simple but delicious, it’s so refreshing to find clean and tasty food!! Bring all your friends Hopefully you get a chance to meet Vladimir, too. 💫

I really, really loved this place! Their vegan menu is extensive and creative, and it was incredibly difficult to decide what to order. I finally opted for the Green Machine burger, which was exceptionally tasty and not heavy or greasy at all. They also have a drink menu which includes beer, wine, kombucha, juices, etc, and tasty desserts (even some raw options). Our server was friendly and efficient, and prices are reasonable in light of the quality of the ingredients. 10/10; will return!

YUM! plant-based eater here!! I popped into this place for dinner and was greeted by the most lovely owners. Dinner was super easy to order, and the food was DELICIOUS. My food was piping hot and ready for takeout in under 10 minutes. Definitely pricey but I was very satisfied and the portion sizes were decent! So yummy :)

This is a vegan staple on the LES. It's American comfort food but with less guilt! Veggie burgers made without gluten or soy. The walnut pesto was a lovely addition. The matzoh ball soup was flavorful, but the matzoh balls were very dense. The crispy Mac n Cheese bites ARE NOT TO BE MISSED!!! That was my favorite thing we ordered for sure. The sangria was pleasantly fruity (tasted like apples and strawberry) but it was not cloyingly sweet. Overall tasty and very filling.

I'm currently on a very restricted diet for autoimmunity, and that can make travel really difficult. I was in New York this past weekend and did a Google search for restaurants that might fit my protocol. (Autoimmune Protocol/AIP) The Organic Grill popped up, and even though I'm not vegan (and my friend was reluctant to even attempt eating at a vegan joint) We gave it a shot. Not only did I find food that met my strict protocol, it also happened to be the best meal I ate all weekend. My friend (sort of a meat and potatoes kind of guy) Also really enjoyed his meal! The service was good (decent, quirky, and amusing!) Ambiance was chill and the vibes were good. I wish there was one in my city - I'll definitely be back!

This is the IT place for vegan food in the city! Everything from the loaded fries to the cookies and cream cheesecake was delicious. By the end of my lunch, my tummy was full and my plates were locked clean. Maris was very sweet and made our experience all the better. I cannot stress enough how SCRUMPTIOUS everything was. Coming back here every day for the rest of my life!

Food is stellar! I love burgers and eat meat all the time, however I feel like the burgers here are filled with flavors and delight…even without meat. Vlad, the owner was very caring and kind to us. They have large paper placemats you can color like you are a kid again while you wait for your food. Or if you have kids, it’s a perfect thing to keep the kids occupied for a meal at the table.

Had the most amazing Valentine's dinner there with my husband- every dish beautifully prepared, served with love and care /lovely service and soooo delicious! My husband had the lasagna and I had the risotto on tonight's prix fixe for two. And there was live music (very cozy) . Highly recommend even if you're not vegan it's so yummy!

A wonderful dinner. It was cozy but not too tight. The food was delicious and filling. The owner was a delight! I can’t wait to go back.

My boyfriend and I dined here for the first time tonight, and we had a lovely evening. I am vegan and gluten free, and he is gluten free—I only heard good things from him throughout the dinner! We ordered the cheese board (delicious and filling), Mac and cheese balls, the green bowl, and the BBQ jackfruit sandwich with the homemade GF cornbread bun. Our server (and presumably the owner) was extremely attentive. We can’t wait to come back for brunch. Hello GF pancakes!

The new space on W. 3rd St. is so much lovelier than you would guess from the outside! It's cozy, warm and inviting, and I love that they have live music most nights. The food is lovingly made and so delicious! Some of my go-tos are the cheese plate (they make their own cashew cheese, and it's so good), the Triple J Pulled Jackfruit Sandwich, the Original OG Burger with added Spirulina Cashew Cheese, the Kung Pao Cauliflower Pops, the Mac & Cheese Pops, and the cornbread. I keep meaning to try their bowls, but I always get pulled back into their comfort food! I'm so glad they moved to a location that's much easier for me to get to and are continuing to make their delicious vegan food.

A great find for gluten-free and soy-free eaters!! The restaurant has a very no frills look so I wasn’t sure what to expect walking in, but I was really pleasantly surprised. The menu is well labeled in terms of dietary restrictions, and the majority is either gluten free or soy free. I got a pot of cold brew, which comes in a teapot and tastes pretty good, and the loaded sweet potato fries, which are served on a hot skillet. The staff are attentive and clearly care a lot about the place and the happiness of their patrons. Highly recommend as a brunch spot or mid afternoon lunch spot!!

Awesome place. One of my favorite casual restaurants in NYC. Food is amazing, and is basically VEGAN HEAVEN. Heart felt recommendation

This place was great. The service was incredible. The food was wonderful! As someone who has to follow a strict gluten free diet I was so happy to have food that was not only *safe* but delicious! The Mac and cheese bombs were the group favorite! The live atmosphere was an added bonus.

Great restaurant with tons of flavorful dishes. There’s a weekend brunch menu and I highly recommend the pancakes and waffles. Plenty of gluten free options too. The staff is excellent and there are often events there like Jazz nights.

Organic Grill, where have you been all my (vegan) life? So absolutely wonderful. From Vlad to the food to the ability to color on the table paper cover. For appetizers, we had the Buffalo cauliflower pops and then Kung pao oyster mushrooms (Vlad’s recommendation and it did not disappoint). The cauliflower bites had the perfect amount of “breading”, sauce and crisp - nothing being too overpowering where you could also appreciate the cauliflower. The mushrooms were fire. The texture was 🤌 meaty not chewy. The sauce was 💯- definitely tastier in my eyes than Buffalo I think because it was both spicy and sweet. So freaking good. Of the two, would recommend the mushroom one for something tastier or honestly both (but get different sauces for each). At this point I remember thinking I don’t want to get full because I would really like to keep trying more dishes. 😅 Not that that ended up stopping up… For mains - I had the “green melt” and my boyfriend had the tofu omelette. Both were fantastic. The green melt came with a sauerkraut on the side which went so well with the sandwich. The sandwich was cheesy and pesto-y and tempeh-y and so delicious. Probably on the heavier side than the omelette. I could have stopped at half but it was too good. The omelette was also great. Couldn’t tell it was made from tofu. Rather plain compared to the sandwich melt but both complimented each other. For dessert we tried their kombucha on tap with the tiramisu and the raw chocolate pudding. I would recommend the tiramisu. All in all- great. I was so completely satisfied with this meal and place. Would come back.

Great made from scratch (Made From Scratch!!!) vegan food. Great ambience, loved the paper table cover and the crayons provided, and enjoyed meeting the chef/owner. A great place to wow any carnivore die-hards.

Absolutely LOVE this place! Such delicious food and the sweetest owner. I get the vegi squash bowl every time… I can’t break away I love it too much. With the mushroom patty!

Cool healthier spot in the West Village.. owner Vlad is super kind.. knows a bunch of the health influencers around the world - Simon Hill, Rich Roll.. some chefs.. pretty cool Everything is plant based, vegan The Green Melt sando w/ tempeh bacon was AMAZE. Liked it better than the famous Green Burger that everyone raves about (found it ok.. the mushroom patty was good but nothing special.. the tempeh bacon was the move in the sando) The caramel brownie cheesecake made up of tofu and sweetened w/ agave, maple.. (vs refined sugar) was tasty! Bit too sweet for me though.. The oat pancakes w/ the coconut mozzarella whipped cream was the MOVE. So so good! If you’re getting the breakfast scramble, would elect for the tempeh over the veggie sausage Place is good, healthier side.. but not THE healthiest spot even though its vegan (vegan does not mean healthy people! Lol) Nice pocket in the West Village

Incredible culinary addition to the neighborhood! Turned out my non-vegan friend often ate at the East Village OG—she’s thrilled it’s so close now. Everything we ordered was delicious. We went gaga over the Mac ‘n Cheese Bites, but the cauliflower Kung Pao, Matzo Ball soup, red wine and sangria were excellent too. I’m thrilled that almost all the dishes are gluten-free, especially the desserts. We devoured our chocolate peanut butter and carrot cake. Great not-too-loud music, friendly service and warm and peaceful atmosphere. We’ll be back!

I love this place!!! Not only was my meal amazing, flavorful and healthy, but the people that run the place are so sweet. I ordered takeout during peak dinner hours and it was ready within 15 minutes. I ordered the Kung pow bowl and got some sort of raspberry dessert bar and both were awesome. I can’t wait to become a regular here and try everything on the menu! I’m not a vegan, just health conscious, but this place makes eating healthy an easy choice. Portion sizes are also generous.

This restaurant has moved to w 3rd st & 5th Ave, jic you’ve been to the old location. At the old location, I really enjoyed the cauliflower sandwich with marinara sauce and would highly recommend that option. For my most recent visit, I had the shawarma sandwich, which is made with seitan. The shawarma is not in the regular menu and was one of the daily specials. The seitan is marinated very well and has a nice chewy texture and savory taste. While the sandwich was very delicious, it is not something that I would regularly order due to it being a more expensive menu option. But if you are looking to splurge on a vegan dish and try something new, then you should definitely order the shawarma if you see it on the menu!

We always thoroughly enjoy places where the food is prepared by professionals, where the service knows the choices, and how they are prepared, and where the ambiance adds rather than distracts. This is our favorite in New York. It is worth the trip, easily reached and in Greenwich Village. We will come again - every time we are in New York.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I’m a long-time vegan and I eat at every vegan cafe/restaurant/market I can find in cities everywhere from Hawaii to Europe and I’ve never had food like this. It was truly delicious, inventive, filling, rich, and (best of all) cruelty-free. Vegans and non-vegans alike will love this spot. A must-eat in NYC.

The parm sandwich was fantastic. The sauce was delicious, the bread was very good, and the cauliflower gave it a nice crunch. I’m excited to try more things from here!

I ordered a takeout of sweet potato home fries, $8 and some other items. The place was empty and getting ready to close, so no rush of orders to confuse with mine. I left a generous tip. I was given white potato fries which I don't eat. He took the order and gave it to the chef. I ordered a black bean patty, which was very small. The owner was gruff and unpleasant. I won't be eating there again any time soon.

RUN DONT WALK HERE! The food is insanely good, very balanced and filling (i have a crazy appetite, but got full off of one meal already); its so delicious that I was actually stunned. And they have holiday specials; latkes is SO good, trust me on this; you better get it while its still holiday season. The owner is kind and super helpful, the place itself is cute, and they have A TEA MENU, which is super cool. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the portions, so go support your local business!
