I really wanted the food flavors to match the decor of this place. The design is beautiful. Everything looks well thought out from the food display area to the shelving and room decor. Even the food looks delicious, but I found it bland and boring which it shouldn't be since it's based upon food from places that have very tasty vegetarian food. I had some sort of Moroccan stew that could have been Campbell's soup based flavor wise. The staff were gracious and swift. I tasted my chef friends ( yes we're all in the food biz) dishes that all looked great, but reminded me of vegetarian dishes grub the 70s where not having meat in them was the goal and not the taste.

What a wonderful restaurant! So glad to have found this gem for unconventional brunch. The mains are all bowls with soup, curry, etc. shared the curry and Tibetan mama and they both were excellent. The server was incredibly helpful and gave great advice. Topped it off with a brownie that was The healthiest brownie I’ve ever eaten, and also among the most flavorful! Will definitely return to try some of their other excellent options as well as their cocktails.

Love that Le Bontaniste has a location in the Soho area. This is our go to when we feel like something delicious, nourishing, and made with clean ingredients. They have many options from light bites, soups to bowls. Thus it's a great place when feel like something light (great to not just have salad chains as options). The speciality drinks like mushroom coffee is yummy too. Just wish they make all their desserts with unrefined sugar (no brown sugar).

I’m so hooked on @le_botaniste since I tried it for the first time! This vegan fast food place has a few locations in the city (please open in the financial district) and is a solid option for plant based food. I love getting their botanical menu, which comes with a half-sized bowl and soup of the day. It fills up my tummy for sure! Tried their drinks too and those were also amazing.

This place is wonderful! Our server, Jamal, was helpful and friendly. He offered us suggestions, as it was our first time visiting. The entire menu is vegan. We ordered the Mediterranean Pasta, Tibetan Mama, Omega-3 brownie, and the botanical lemonade. The food is delicious, and the prices are remarkably fair. We will be back!

Unique set up / sophisticated lunch & dinner room feel to this vegan / plant based NYC restaurant. My partner & I only dine at fully vegan establishments, so when we travel part of the fun is finding places like this to indulge. At Le Botaniste there are a number of selections you can choose from batch-made dishes, which was nice: you can see specifically what you’re ordering & customize them accordingly. We had the Moroccan curried mix & the chili sin carne with some veggie balls added. The staff was friendly & accommodating. Ideal spot for a quick bite & totally affordable!

A true gem of wholesome eats in the heart of SoHo. I was shopping on a freezing day and needed a snack. I stumbled upon Le Botaniste and was pleasantly surprised by every single aspect of this spot. From the interior to staff to the food itself, it was a fantastic experience. First off, the food looks incredible. All fresh, in colorful pots, all plant-based. Very affordable starters and dishes (my veggie balls were massive and only around $7 — comes with a large serving of hummus). The interior was beautifully designed to look like an old apothecary vibe. Very pretty. There was an outlet which let me charge my phone. I will be back to dinner.

I love this place for a quick, healthy and very flavorful lunch. While you can build your own bowl, I usually go for the Tibetan Mama or the chili sin carne. Today I had the Tibetan and it didn’t disappoint. The curry is so flavorful! Don’t skip out on the kimchi, it goes really well with the richness of the curry. You can’t go wrong here. This is a top notch plant based spot that packs a punch. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

I was looking for something healthy to eat for lunch when I found Le Botaniste. All the meals are plant based and prepared in a gluten-free friendly environment. The menu has a lot of options involving fresh vegetables and more elaborate compositions. The staff is nice, friendly and always ready to help with recommendations and information.

Le Botaniste is a true gem! I recently had the pleasure of dining there and I was blown away by the quality of the food. The tomato soup was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of tanginess to make it taste amazing. The spicy chili bowl was also a hit, with its bold flavors and perfect level of spiciness that made it a delight to eat. In addition to the fantastic food, the dining area at the back was spotless and provided a comfortable atmosphere for enjoying my meal. The space was spacious, which allowed for social distancing and a relaxed atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure that I was well taken care of throughout my visit. Overall, I would highly recommend Le Botaniste to anyone looking for delicious, high-quality food in a clean and comfortable environment. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite on the go or settling in for a leisurely meal, this restaurant is sure to satisfy all of your cravings. Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience this amazing eatery for yourself!

Best vegan food with a NY price tag. Very nicely designed concept. Tried the chili bowl with cauliflower rice and added veggie balls with a carrot detox drink and it came to $30 bill. Got to used to paying no more than 1500-2000 yen lunch in Japan 😅

Delicious and flavorful plant-based organic food! A variety of bowls, salad and soup, and dessert. We had Tibetan mama(curry), vegetable sushi rolls, botanical salad, all sooooo good! We feel recharged and energized after our lunch. Can't wait to return and try other items.

Le botaniste is a great place for vegan options. The menu does not change often but the variety is quite delicious. Not sure how many calories per dish but taste is really great. The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated as well.

I am so hurt by the manger, there was flies in my food, little dots black creatures, its now in my stomach, in my throat, I feel sick, it was too late to realize I ate it. I didn’t even speak about it out-loud in the restaurant. I left and called her and spoke privately so she can fix it for the rest. i saw in the counter flies touching the food. The broccoli was yellow it had living things in it. It apparently offended the manger because she doesn’t want to take responsibility. And she tells me on the phone there’s an issue with me telling her the truth and trying to save others from having flies in their food. because I spoke the truth, I am getting blamed for trying to save others. She doesn’t want to cause loss of ingredients. She didn’t apologize or offered to take care of what happened. Hope this review makes it better for others.

Best Vegan Restaurant in the entire city. They have so many different vegan options to choose from, and honestly they’re all super delicious. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you choose. I love that everything on their menu is organic and sustainably sourced. My partner ordered the chile sin carne and it was really flavorful and simply delicious. I had the magic miso soup which was comforting and extremely healthy. Their veggies are so fresh (something you don’t easily find in NYC) The staff is cordial, helpful and friendly. This kind of service is hard to come by in a city like New York. Everyone seemed really happy to be working there. Good job everyone!

I love this place so much. It's such a well designed restaurant and you expect it to be high end and expensive, but then you realize that it's a causal place to get lunch/dinner and the prices are under $15 for your entire meal!! Le Botaniste, is something I've been looking for in NYC for a long time. I'm a vegetarian and I'm always in search for something delicious to eat. So happy that I found this place!! They have the best vegan chili I've ever had and I love their Coconut curry. Both are a must try!! Ig-@traveleen_gurl

So so so good! The options are very unique, so I was hesitant when ordering, but the Moroccan stew bowl ended up being scrumptious! So flavorful and healthy. The chia seed pudding with berries for dessert is a must try as well!

WOW WOW WOW 🤩. I just can’t put into words! Amazing quality & simplicity. Ooooh, the joy of eating and NOT feeling guilt. I’m not a vegan but if I were, this is how I would imagine heaven is…. 😇 The Tibetan curry bowl was a grand slam. I need to come back for the mushroom and the chili con carne after a tasting . The red wine can be improved upon. If only this was also a BYOB. I can totally see myself here for lunch twice a week during the summer. Outdoor seating is marvelous in SoHo 👍 Just superb on every level and unparalleled 💪💪

This is a counter service restaurant. You order the food at the counter and then you get a tray, you then pick out a place to sit and eat. I ordered a pick your own salad which was delicious and felt nurturing. I also ordered the vegan sushi which was also good! Felt like desert and ordered the brownie. Great spot if you're looking for a healthy meal to enjoy without it being over the top or elaborate.

I’ve made Botaniste a regular visit for dinner and lunch. I love their rotating and inventive menu and am amazed at how quickly they prepare such high quality, delicious and healthy food. I’m amazed at their model and approach. Everyone on the staff has also been warm, welcoming and super knowledgeable on their menu items. Space is attractive as well. Overall, just a great place to integrate into your life to get food your body will thank you for at a reasonable price.

This place was perfect to have a quick lunch that was light and flavorful! I got the botanical salad and my friend got the chili con carne. The food was very tasty and all vegan! Would highly recommend. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and had a very aesthetic vibe.

I loved it all! All veg restaurant and organic. I was overwhelmed by the choices, and the environment was lovely. I had Moroccan stew - it was exactly what I needed to balance my system. Thank you! I will come back.

Firstly, the ambiance is absolutely fantastic and the service is quick. The people are very sweet, accommodating and hospitable and the food is amazing. The entire menu is vegan and health oriented, and very tasty! We went multiple times because the food is just amazing. There are also multiple stores all across the city which is really convenient! Overall, it’s a great vegan place to go frequently because the meals are pretty filling, great to look at and healthy.

Discovered this place by accident. Got the charcoal drink which has chocolate, almond milk, agave. Delicious, refreshing on a hot summer, heat advisory NYC day! The inside is so cute. I can't wait to try more from the menu!

A vegan friend invited me here for the first time, and I’ll continue to come here for lunch! The food is fresh and innovative, and feels like comfort food. Walk up to the counter, most of the options are dished up while you’re placing your order, some they grab from the kitchen. It’s quick and delicious. Staff is friendly. It’s also very reasonably priced for such high quality food!

Really delicious, hearty vegan meals, while still being light and refreshing. The Vegetable Tagine bowl and the Mezze spread assortment with crackers was a perfect tasting of what Le Botaniste has to offer. Perfect for a hot day!

Very cute place. Cafeteria style setup, vegan and vegetarian options, lots of interesting ingredients. Tons of healthy choices but may be difficult for those who are picky. I settled for something a little more familiar. They also have wine, which was a pleasant surprise!

This is a nice concept if you're into salad and bowls kind of place. I liked my Vegetable Tajine but one of the person's in our group didn't like the Miso soup bowl. The miso soup was overpowered with ginger and the tofu in it was super salty. Their drinks were very good.

Lots of fresh, flavorful plant-based options. If you want to feel great after a meal, this is the spot. Salads, juices hit the spot every time. Delicious sauces/dressings.

A great spot for a tasty, healthy, veggie food. Plenty of space and artfully decorated space. They also have a wine bar to go with your food.

Looks fancier in the pictures than it actually is. You order at the counter and all meals are already prepared and they just serve you in a bowl what you choose. Fair prices and tasty food though.

  • 5/5 Sara H. 1 year ago on Google
Grateful this place exists! An entirely plant-based spot where the food is consistently delicious, nutritious and made with care AND also spotlessly clean with a friendly and attentive staff!!! BONUS that when you dine in you have real (pretty) ceramic bowls and utensils and don’t have to create any waste. Also has a lovely wine selection if you’re into that sort of thing. Love Le Botaniste!!

Calling all herbivores and flavor enthusiasts! If you're on the hunt for a taste bud fiesta, look no further than this vegan haven. I tried their Chilli Sin Carne, and my taste buds threw a party—they're still talking about it! It's so delicious; even my non-vegan friends were eyeing my plate with envy. Trust me, this place is a veggie paradise worth visiting again and again!
