I rate this experience a 2.3. this is a Peruvian place. I was disappointed. Got there for lunch, and literally had to sit myself. It appears this is more of a fast food service place not a restaurant. The server which there was only one initially was covering basically all the tables 12 of which had patrons. I had to request the menu, and it took a bit of time to get it. The server was in a hurry and asked to take order for everything at once, apps, main plate etc. I ordered the fish Ceviche, which delicious, soupy, full of flavors, cilantro, onions, with sweet potatoe, which i ordered an add'l side of, really good. Ordered el bistec de pobre (poor person's steak) had 2 eggs, double the meat, a bit hard, rice, sweet plantains, french fries. I also ordered the fried red snapper which when you look at the pictures you'd be amazed about the size, and color, and crispness, however the texture for some reason the meat on the fish was a bit tough which is unusual for red snappers. I believe it was refried. I had it with extra onions (encebollado) and a salad which they failed to serve as i requested it, and i had to pay extra for it. No dessert... the worst part of this experience was when i requested to take the leftovers home. That was an adventure. I was not informed the containers, all of the ones you need to take food home they charge you. I found out cause i always check the bill looking for hidden charges, which it happened. I was charged for 4 containers after asking the owner. He indicated everyone is doing it which in ALL the places I've visited not once had this ever happened. No dessert....i will not be coming back here as the experience left a sour taste in my mouth. It wasn't about the customer experience for this establishment. It is about just making money period.

I’ve eaten here a few times, but on my last visit I noticed that the waitresses and the establishment already CHARGES you a TIP in the final bill. (BEWARE) they are slick and won’t say anything about it and you may end up double tipping. The food is good and you get gigantic portions. But they could be a little mistrusting and I have not returned due to that cause. Could have been a 4 star rating... Update.. returned And noticed that the plates and portions have gotten way smaller but the prices remained the same. Plato norteño (entree)shrunk by 25% $21 as seen. Papa a la huancaina $6 for 3 slices of boiled potato and half a hard boiled egg ( appetizer) 🤔 Update... returned again, place has gone through some remodeling, waitresses are new from last visit and a lot more attentive, Price for the the Plato norteño is now $24 AND a lot smaller than last visit. Still 3 stars. STILL ISSUES WITH THE BILL, the way they bring you the check is questionable, nothing is explained on the print out, and YES, the TIP is already included, but they still don’t tell you.

The staff is friendly and polite. I will said this is the best sea food restaurant in North bergen (bergenline ave) area . So i will recommend this to anyone that loves sea food . Delicious Peruvian food, BYOB, parking is either metered street parking or pay by phone lot nearby

Do not order from this restaurant if you like to wait one Hour + Food is decent ! I still don’t understand why Latino restaurants suck at customer service.

Food amazing, I don't like the include tip on the bill policy. Maybe I missed the sign but I had to wonder and inquire about what the new charge was...not even sure how it's determined.

We have been trying to give a chance to our local restaurants and this one......💞 is a keeper 😋 prices are super affordable and food was yummy. We had JALEA and PESCADO RELLENO DE MARISCOS, both dishes were outstanding 👌 For drinks we order a pitcher of a mix juices, pineapple, strawberry and mango, very refreshing.

Wasn't too crazy about my chicken soup. However, my dad had some beef dish. It was tasty and decent.

The food needs to improve the quality of the meat. We ordered a Lomo Saltado and they didn't put sirloin steak or rib eye that they are good for this kind of dish. The parihuela no having enough sea food and fish. El bistec was small and thin. Overall needs to improve the dishes
