——post covid review This is an example of a restaurant that pulled a 360 in 2 years. I get it food costs more, totally understandable but they raised prices and skimped back on quality. Wife got mofongo with garlic shrimp. The shrimp was like a soup, wheres the garlic? Barely any flavor the tostone was dry. I got the ropa vieja, heartburn attack! Cheap tomato sauce, the yellow rice has no flavor. The yuca was atrocious, frozen yuca not fully cooked the mojo is just embarrassing , literally goya green recaito paste with lime juice YUCK! Tasted chemically. Something changed here for the worst! No longer recommended, no longer returning. ——pre covid review No lie, if you want good food at a great price come here! They’ve got daily specials on deck!! 4 meals + a sandwich and app $42!!!! Where else are you getting this???

Had Cinnamon Raisin Bagwl with Butter n Coffee. Good Service. Place little Pricey But Good Part They have a Public Restroom for a small place. Place is Very Clean.

An alright spot, food is mostly reheated and served quickly. Service is bad, they manage to screw up orders consistently and seems like they talk smack behind customers back. Gave it a few chances but officially done eating here.

Beware that even though breakfast menu says " All breakfast are served with Coffee, Juice& Bread with Butter" you'll be charged extra for the juice.

I’m Mangu fanatic lol and this place makes it on point 🍳I always have the same thing but they’ve a huge menu to choose from 👌🏻you should stop by and give it a try it’s worth it 🫶🏻

The food here is always fresh and delicious. The prices are still reasonable although they have been slightly raised since the pandemic began. The staff is always friendly and courteous. There are only 3 tables with seating for 4 as the place is small. If you’re looking for comfort food just like home made, this is the place for you.

Talk about DELICIOUS!!! Took an hour ride from Sussex County and it did not disappoint! Prices were great, food was out of this world. Clean, friendly,and quick service!!

My third order, the waiter took down the wrong order. I asked for boliche (pot roast) moros (rice and beans), and plaintains. I received boliche, plantains, and maduros Sweet bananas! I called and they delivered the moros (beans and rice)right away. Next time I will ask the waiter to read the order back to me! However, the food is fresh, the staff is polite. The delivery is prompt!

One star because the delivery guy can't knock on a door or ring a doorbell and instead left my food on the floor and left. I only figured out my food was there when I went outside for something else. I deserve a refund of $3 tip for this type of service. Una estrella por que dejaron mi comida en El Piso en vez de tocar la puerta como un humano normal.

Fantastic food. The empanadas de pollo were flavorful. The mofongo de queso frito was PHENOMENAL! I enjoyed it so much. Also try the corn fritters. EXCELLENT! And of course the cuban coffee goes without saying.

This is the original and best Pio Pio restaurant. The food is authentic and seasoned perfectly. The portion sizes make for great leftovers the next day. The staff is friendly and attentive. Overall great place that has become our favorite local restaurant.

I ordered eggs with turkey and fries and I got back a completely different order. I called them and let them know their mistake to see if I could get a refund, they said that the order did not exist anymore so they took it upon themselves to send me a different order without calling me to ask me what order I would want to replace it. When I asked for a refund they did not want refund it because they had “already made it”. They did not even try to send me back a new order after I expressed to them that I had stomach surgery and could not eat certain things. I ended up losing my money.

Pio Pio 55 it’s an excellent restaurant. Food it’s always fresh and delicious. Been coming here for years, and they are always consistent. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended. 10/10
