I came all the way from Brooklyn nyc to New Jersey for one of these! They have a variety of bagels they make daily. You can have them made with anything and anyway you crave! The service is fast, staff are pleasant and food is made fresh on-site. When in NJ and craving a bagel sandwich done right, GO HERE!

The worst customer service ever! Go to Bagels by Jarret, the staff is much more pleasant and the food is delicious! The most bizarre and unprofessional events took place on a Saturday afternoon about 45 min before closing time. I ordered a cold sandwich and I see that the cashier rang me up for about $14.00. I asked her what exactly is she ringing me up for and she tells me that she’s ringing me up for other things as well. The cashier tells Rosa (the person who took my order and was also making my sandwich) that I didn’t ask for the other things and Rosa had all the attitude in the world and kept making nasty gestures and mouthing off saying (in Spanish) that I did tell her that I wanted those other items, etc. To their surprise, I’m a fluent Spanish speaker. When I told Rosa in Spanish “I didn’t tell you I wanted those other things, I only told you that I wanted a sandwich.”, she literally looked me in the face and rudely said “you did tell me you wanted the other things” My fiancé and I couldn’t believe it. Even he was trying to tell her that he heard what I said and that I didn’t ask for anything but a sandwich. Rosa continued having her attitude and turned her back on my husband. I told the cashier to cancel my order and I just left. Bagel box needs to get it together and hire people with better customer service skills. All that attitude was uncalled for. She did not even start preparing the other things that she claimed that I ordered.

the three ladies are so rude they have no customer service skills. I went in there one day and they were all having a big group conversation which resulted in me having to wait and extra five mins. I was the only one in there. There bagels are always hard now and they messed up my plain bagel with cream cheese and added whatever she thought I said. bagels use to be really good but I've been disappointed in the customer service and food service. they guys that work there very very nice though. those women need to learn some nice manners.

I usually don’t write reviews on restaurants but I had to share my experience today. I usually go in here about 3 to 4 times a week so I’m here a lot today I went in and ordered a garlic bagel with sliced lox And a little bit of onion I don’t know if they hired new people. But I had to show the lady who was making my bagel where everything was, that’s not even the worst part. I get to my car open my bagel and there is a single slice of lox on each side. The bagel is 90% cream cheese with a little bit of lox.

I've been to every bagel joint in the area and these guys win the prize for best bagel. Their homemade cream cheeses are delish too. The jalapeño bacon is my personal fav.

Honestly they where good as far as food , I literally sat there for a few min. All I hear is them talking bad about almost all the customers in there . One of the guys was talking so poorly about another customer thinking no one spoke Spanish . He goes and rings me up and I tell em I know you weren’t talking to me . Just super unprofessional but it was good . Next time don’t talk smack about customers you never know who’s listening and knows Spanish

its MEH id rather go to Bagel which because its closer. I dont understand why they say they close at 4, but they wouldnt let me get anything after 3:30. Like, change the closing time to 3:30 then?

We’ve been going here for years, always fantastic service and food. Placed an order for delivery today (not realizing they don’t deliver on weekends). A very pleasant young lady delivered it, and nicely explained this was a courtesy, as we’re close by. They just earned our further business!

When I got there, only one other person was there. They already ordered, so I placed my order. Bagel with cream cheese. Pretty easy right! The guy making my bagel answered the phone while making my bagel. Not the 4 women standing there doing nothing. At this time they started to get busy. All 4 girls were busy. Mind you I just had back surgery (I’m wear a mid body cast) it’s clear as day. They all finish, every single one of them forgot about me. Took other peoples orders without finishing my order. When I spoke up, no one had anything to say. They pretended to not understand me.

Got the chocolate mousse cake and it had fungus on it.

Ordered a pumpernickel bagel with lox slices scallion cream cheese capers tomatoes and o lions and 😍😍😍Did not disappoint ! Bagel and loc were very fresh, they also gave a good amount of lox. And their coffee is bomb!

I’m giving a nice review because they have nice staff. Their bacon egg and cheese is horrible and I’m a daily goer but I just can’t take it no more. Pio bagel or page will now get my business even if I have to go out the way. It’s a shame tbh.

I can’t say enough good things about Bagel Box. Since moving out of WO, it’s still my go-to spot. The bagels are fresh and soft, and you won’t go hungry with the portions they give. Despite it being a fast-paced environment, the staff is ALWAYS so pleasant to not only the customers but to eachother. The dynamic is always positive.

This place is horrible first of all, I ordered a coffee I specifically said I want it sweat ! They give me unsweetened coffee and my food was so cold and disgusting smh please people do better next time keep it cute

OK, these people who work at the Bagel Box do not understand English. We asked for a dozen assorted bagels. We received a dozen egg bagels. We then reiterated that we wanted a mix of different bagels like garlic, sesame, everything, etc. Two egg bagels were taken out of the bag and replaced with 2 garlic bagels. We live about 3 hours away in Upstate NY and wanted to bring some good bagels home. We were frustrated and disappointed.

The bagels are better than average for a NY/NJ bagel and the other food is good. The service is abysmal and food prep can take a long time. They tend to be disorganized and overwhelmed and if they’re not messing up my order, I witness them messing up someone else’s order. I hope the owner sees this because they have a good product but very poor execution. GET A BETTER POS SYSTEM AND CREDIT CARD SYSTEM.

Very good bagels but a bit thick for my mom's taste. I heard of adding honey to the boiling process that helps toppings adhere better.

We love this place. My wife and her family have been going here for years. We usually get the locs with some cream cheese. I've seen a ton of people come in to get coffee. So it must be good too. Small and family owned. Go here for your bagels!

Omg!! How lucky am I found this gem. Amazing bagels AND amazing salads AND pastries!!! Everything is delicious.

Bagel box have shown me time and time again that they are incompetent! I placed an order on the phone and first the lady had me wait 10 minutes. She finally gets on the phone and I have her repeat my order (because this happened to me before) and after 30 minutes I go and pick up my order to find out that it’s lost. So the lady tells me she’s going to make my order I wait in my car for another 10 minutes and return to the bakery and she tells me oh I said no I don’t want my order. So for waiting an 1 I received no food. If Bagels by Jarrett were open I would have gladly went to him but seeing as it s Tuesday I was out of luck!

One of the women preparing the bagels was not wearing her mask properly. It was sitting below her nose, and when I asked the cashier to tell her to fix it please, she pulled it up and then immediately let it fall back down again. This is a pandemic, and she is touching food. This is completely unacceptable and disappointing considering I usually love bagel box and get great service.

Pretty good "New York" style bagel shop here in West Orange; long lines, credit card use minimums, and even non-english speaking workers, all conspire to provide a satisfying over- stuffed bagel with multiple choices of tasty toppings (butter, tuna, lox, egg salad, etc.). Can't go wrong if that's your craving. Oh, of course only regular (and decent) coffee to wash it down. Definitely nap time after!

Ok. I normally love it here. But I went in this morning and some of the employees are not fully wearing their masks to serve the food, I saw one employee preparing what seemed to be a large order with no mask on talking over the food that she was packing. Also they aren’t wearing gloves, or are only wearing the gloves on one hand. I honestly regret getting food from here today. Probably won’t go back until after the pandemic

I ordered food to be delivered for someone as a surprise. I provided the individual over the phone with my credit card information. When the food was delivered to the individual, they had to provide their own credit card as payment because Bagel Box failed to charge my card with the information provided or follow up with me if there was an error that occurred. That is frustrating and defeats the purpose of me ordering the food in the first place.

Been going here since high school. It's a must EVERY TIME I visit!
