Had a private function there a while ago and it was amazing seeing all the old school games and consoles. Was surprised how well I did at duck hunt. Certainly a refreshing change from typical private functions at bars or modern arcades. Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Very cool experience. Would reccomend.

A great time for all ages, an impressive variety of consoles and games to play. The museum section is very cool, it's fun to point out your first consoles and see how far the technology has come.

Enjoyable experience from both a museum and interactive perspective. Friendly owner with a great vision for it's future. On my visit I had to leave but returned later in the day to keep enjoying the experience. Looking forward to seeing this place grow. Keep it up

We had such a great time playing with all sorts of different consoles. Strongly recommend to call in advance if you are planning for a long visit (we booked for 11:30 session and had to leave at 1:00 as the venue bas booked for a private party)

Was awesome. If you have any love for retro video games and their history, or even just video games in general this is definitely worth a few hours of your life. We just spent 2 1/4 hours there and if it wasn’t for having to catch a flight home could have spent plenty more time. My 12 year old was genuinely gutted we had to leave. The guy working there was incredibly friendly and helpful as well. Overall a fantastic experience.

Excellent if you're of a certain age .... I was hoping to re-live my youth & play Space Invaders or Galaxian but they weren't here. Some interesting retro games & consoles to bring back your childhood memories. 👍

What a great place! We had a 9yo birthday party and it was excellent. You get the whole place to yourself, the games are so much fun, the host is brilliant and very good with the kids. Highly recommend. Food is sorted also along with all plates etc. The only feedback would be to have some music in the background. Give it a go, reasonable price too.

Unplanned most favorite stop while I’m Perth! We visited Perth during the summer and knew it would be hot but we didn’t plan enough balance of inside and outside activities so on day 1 the kids were dying from the heat so we tried to find a good museum to take them to and this popped up. It took a little convincing to get them to agree to go but once we arrived it was all up hill from there! What a cool little place! We didn’t make a reservation and were lucky when we arrived that a school holiday event/booking was just leaving. The place isn’t very big but it’s jam packed with all the old video games from our great childhood and old TV’s to go with it!! It was such a trip back in time that we didn’t know how to begin and then didn’t know how to end! One amazingly great addition to this great great place is that your entry fee (very cheap) allows you to play all the games for the full day!!! You can come & go all day which is unheard of! So if you really want to try and break that old Atari record you can start your challenge in the morning break for lunch & let your fingers rest then come back again to finish off the day! They even have a snack bar (chips & drinks & candy bars) if you don’t want to leave. You will be very surprised as the condition of the games too…you can see some wear but really they are in good condition. Also, if you don’t see a game you are looking for just ask the owner and most likely he has it hidden away. And speaking of owner…if I could give a rating he would be a 10! Super friendly, super happy and amazing shop! We are only visiting but we saw the signage for byob trivia nights, birthday parties and other events that make this not only a great tourist destination but a great regular place to visit if you live in Perth. I’m not into video games at all but highly recommend you to go there and support this great little hidden gem. Your inner kid will thank you for it.

If I lived nearby I would basically set camp there 🤣 We spent a few amazing hours playing the favourite games from our childhoods and tried a couple ones that we never had a chance to back in the day. The owner is a fantastic man, full of joy and enthusiasm for his job. I absolutely recommend this place if you are a gamer or have kids who are into games. The museum area is so interesting too, the history of gaming is so much more fun to learn when the consoles are right in front of you!!

👾LOVED👾the visit! There is a big variety of old gaming consoles to try and a relaxed atmosphere with not too many people. Good location away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag. We didn’t have to wait to play on any consoles. The store person was really friendly and helpful and overall a wicked experience! Recommended for all ages and a great place for kids birthdays if they’re into games.

We were on a holiday to Perth and were looking forward to visiting this place. We were disappointed when we realised they won’t be ready for opening during our trip there. So I wrote them a message on FB to let me know we look forward to be there on our next trip. Guess what? The owner said he would be happy to let us in on our last day in Perth! Of course we bought tickets and went! My son had such a great time playing games on the well-looked after old consoles. The adults did too and we enjoyed reading the history of gaming and looking at some really old game devices we’ve never seen before. This place is such a gem and the owner (I presume) is so warm and friendly. I just wish we had more time there! We are so grateful we didn’t have to wait till the next trip to visit this wonderful place.

Have visited this place twice in the last few months and decided to have my birthday there. It was an awesome time, playing many of the classics from my childhood and even getting into games before my time (something about Pong is very addictive!). Would highly recommend this place, it really is very nostalgic! A great range of games from all throughout the years. Will be coming back again soon!

What a great time! Trip down memory lane. Museum display of all the old systems and gaming devices with info. Heaps of games to play. Super cheerful staff. Hadnt pre booked, stayed for 2 hours! Well worth the entry fee. Better than Timezone!! Went on a Wed arvo, wasn't busy, plenty of games for all. Pong, Ninja Turtles, Street Fighter, Multiple Sonic games, multiple Mario games, and more. Happy customers

A great retro gaming museum that brings back memories of the good old days of classic games. You can play the games too. The owner is very friendly and gives a tour of the history of consoles. Highly recommended

I've been a few times and I've never had anything less than an amazing experience. If you're not a fan of reading, then the museum won't take too long for you to clear. However, if you're someone who doesn't mind the odd bit of learning, then there's a whole lot packed into that small space! The arcade is a great place to chill out, play old favourites and destroy your friends, and its also got a pretty good game selection, so don't let what's out on display fool you into thinking that's all there is.

Relaxed. Totally professional. Spectacular range of consoles, most with boxes, from the early 1970 to today. A number of machines are hooked up to CRT TVs for hands-on play. If you're into retro gaming, this is a must-visit destination. Feels like a genuine labour of love has gone into curating this collection and the $16.50 entry fee is worth every cent.

Absolutely the best experience I had during my holiday to Perth. Owner was extremely warm and welcoming, and you could tell that he loved the store and video games in general. They had retro consoles dating back to the inception of videos games all the way to present day. On top of this, they have a wide array of games to play. I sat and played multiple Gameboy games for hours on end, and it really made me feel like a kid again. Could not rate this place any higher, especially for those who love video games.

A great small museum of retro consoles. It's great to see all the different consoles from various eras and explanations of how they impacted the video game industry. At the back there are a few consoles which you can play and try out. Little kids would be amazed what counted as video games back in the day. They offer bookings for parties here too.

We attended the Pokemon and Pizza day and loved it. Great spot to spend the day for kids and big kids at heart. Good selection of retro games and consoles. Some fun craft activities for the kids on their special events. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the fun day out

Fantastic! Great place to visit if you’re in Perth for a few days. Really reasonably priced and unexpectedly takes a good amount of time to read and play a bunch of games. Absolutely fantastic to be able to see so many cool consoles and games and actually get to play many of them in their original form! I hadn’t seen half of the consoles and games that were on show and it was really interesting to read about the rise and fall of different companies. Staff are also so nice with providing assistance with games, as well as changing the games with the consoles you can play on. Overall a fantastic place to visit with a variety of things to see and play, not to mention the enthusiastic and friendly staff, definitely worth a visit!

I've been there a few times and always enjoyed it. The static display of consoles is informative and impressive in its completeness, and the interactive section is loads of fun. I went once with my nephew and he particularly enjoyed playing Sonic 1 and Wii Bowling. This is a great independent museum and Perth should be proud to have it. Book ahead to ensure there's no private functions at the time you want to visit.

I came to Perth on a holiday and was stoked to spend HOURS inside this place. The staff are nothing but kind and passionate about fostering a respectful and exciting environment. I happily spent over 4 hours in here playing some of my favourite games from childhood and would gladly spend days on end if I could. For such an affordable establishment I was expecting something of way less quality. To anyone who can, make your way over to these guys!

The nostalgia box is so amazing. I would recommend that anyone who has played video games in their life should visit this place. I played games that I haven't played since I was in primary school and all the fantastic memories of those times came back to me. It was so magical. I wish I had more time to spend there. I would recommend spending the whole day there. They need one of these in Brisbane so they should franchise over here. If I ever return to Perth this place will be the first place I visit. Thank you for so much fun and such a memorable experience. Owner is fantastic and so friendly and helpful.

I just want to say a huge thankyou to the owner. He is super friendly. Warm, welcoming and bubbly. It's not often you find customer service like this. I was waiting out the front for my partner to park the car and the owner came outside to welcome me. I noticed how he was super happy to change the games for his patrons. In my opinion, he doesn't see this as a job. He genuinely enjoys making people happy and seeing people enjoy themselves. He came over to all his patrons and made sure they were all having a good time. The museum part is pretty amazing with little information tags telling you about the history of each console, when it was manufactured and so on. There is a comfy lounge area if you're all gamed out. There is snacks and drinks if you're needing refreshments. There is a huge range of games and nostalgia waiting for you to play and they are kept in great condition considering how ancient some of them are ! 🧑‍🦳 It was so reminiscent of my childhood. I'll definitely be back here again. No place like it! My daughter also loves it ! If I could give 10/10 I would ! Kudos to you Mr owner !

Great place and a ‘judgement free zone’ - I’m a grown adult and spent about 30 minutes repeating ‘Jack’ and ‘Harvey’ trying to name my Nintendogs... Can someone please feed them while I’m away? & go easy on the treats, Jack is on a diet.

What a fantastic place. I actually booked this place out for my husband's 40th birthday party. Young and old had a ball. Liz was great. She organized everything, even a gaming tournament with a trophy at the end. If you're after something a bit different, loads of fun with no stress - please consider this place for a party or else just drop in and have a blast from the past playing all the great games from your child hood!

Amazing! Not only did the kids have fun, but we had as much fun reminiscing the games of pur childhood and sharing it with our kids (who like the old style more than ypu would think) On top of the experience, our host was amazing and patient with us, and was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend for kids or adults!!

Absolutely lovely place to remember old videogames and play them!! They have a fair variety of consoles that represent the history of videogames. Plus you can play a wide variety of them in old TVs! How cool is that 😅🙌

Excellent service both before and during our visit. They replied to emails promptly and were very helpful in the response. Very friendly and professional service during our visit, it's clear they're passionate about what they do here. I brought my partner here for a cute after brunch date and we had a blast and felt very comfortable the whole time. This felt like a safe place as queer women, they seem welcoming and non judgmental of LGBT 🌈

Went with my two sons (12 and 11). Had a great time. Amazing for me to see things that i played with as a kid in perspex boxes as museum items. My youngest is loves his switch, PS etc, so was fascinated in being able to see the old consoles that he has only watched on YouTube! We all had a great time playing on teh old consoles - staff were very friendly and helpful.

Kid noticed some Mario murals on the outside and wanted to go in... Didn't expect too much tbh. The guy (Dave) at the counter was an Energizer bunny oozing positivity. His vibes set the tone for the visit and it was amazing! Walking through you see multiple retro consoles with brief and informative snippets. Interesting facts accompanied each console through the ages. Further into the room there are a couple of arcade machines which really brought back memories. Middle part of the room was decked with multiple consoles...Nintendo family com... Sega Saturn.. Xboxes of different gens... PlayStations.. and all playable! Amazing stuff.. really nostalgia overflowing... What was supposed to be a half hour time passer ended up throughly spending an entirely enjoyable day there. Hundred percent would recommend anyone wanting to relieve their childhood, and to allow their kids to experience a glimmer of what the 80s and a simpler time was all about.

I went to this place once as a kid and once as an adult, and I have loved it both times. It’s so good to play the games from my past for a quick trip down memory lane. Staff are nice, polite and super helpful. Everyone is trying their best to give customers the best experience possible, and it shows! Please, if you got kids that like video games or are a kid at heart that wants to revisit old games, go here. It’s so worth it. ❤️

Such a cool place. Thanks to the owner for being so inviting, fun, and engaged. The thing I didn’t understand before coming in was that there is a digital library of almost 1500 games that you can choose from! They’ll pull it for you and let you play it.

The Nostalgia Box, the name says it all. As an older kid I grew up seeing the evolution of electronic games and this is captured in the Museum button by button. Dave and his crew are top notch and if you happen to be lucky enough to get tickets to his Games, Pizza and Quiz night, it will be one of the best entertaining nights you could hope for. 5 stars all round for the Nostalgia Box Museum.

It was so good to be able to see the progression of consoles through the ages, I had no idea how primitive the first ones were! We spent almost three hours playing all different consoles and reliving our childhood. It was wild to see how far they’ve come. The guy behind the counter was so super lovely, very welcoming and more than willing to help anyone who asked for help. We will be back.

Im very reluctant to give places a 5 star review as I think its difficult to tick all the boxes. However this place fully deserves 5 stars, it's exactly what you would want in terms of a nostalgic gaming experience with the added element of some gaming history. It has loads of games and gaming experiences to offer all of which are a blast from the past. They serve snacks and beverages as well so you can stay and play all day. The owner Dave is extremely helpful and friendly so don't be afraid to ask him for anything. Had a wonderful time, would visit again.

Came here with the family and they loved it. The owner is a very nice, polite person. Pay once and can stay for the rest of the day. We went out to lunch and returned and continued playing. If you liked retro gaming or gaming in general come here to play as much as you like. Cheaper than going to arcade. Highly recommended to kill time and have fun.

A brilliant day! Really interesting to learn about the evolution of the consoles from the early '70s and the growth of the industry a few years later and what role each console played in it. Heaps of consoles out to play as well with plenty that I had not heard of including and extremely old and rudimentary Pong console. Staff member working was terrific as well. Clearly loves his job which is so important in a gig like this and made it a really comfortable environment to hang out it.
