Marthaler Park

Tourist attraction City park

👍👍 I couldn't find any pictures of the playground structure online, so I am adding a few. This is a nice playground with a large structure. Several slides, lots of climbing things, a couple tunnels, and even monkey bars! My kids loved it! There are swings and a basketball court next to it. Two benches... People often mention park, sledding,

I couldn't find any pictures of the playground structure online, so I am adding a few. This is a nice playground with a large structure. Several slides, lots of climbing things, a couple tunnels, and even monkey bars! My kids loved it! There are swings and a basketball court next to it. Two benches and 5 picnic tables. A volley ball court is on the other side of the parking lot. The main downside is the lack of shade on the structure.

The lower rating is temporary due to major construction in the park. May want to try another park until the upgrade is done. The new trail is completed. More future construction to come. Enjoy the park until it starts. Lower upgrade is finished and open. The upper park area is closed for construction. New parking lot and kids play area is being worked on.

They revamped the park now with new courts to play volleyball and basketball, including a parking on the other side of the park as well. It's the perfect place to play sports and relax with the family.

Has great paved paths for walking. Has a basketball court, volleyball court, multiple tennis courts, a pond, a giant sledding hill, another sledding hill, multiple picnic shelters and finally, a new playground in the lower part of the park for 2020. One small thing: I don’t know why they tore out the old playground in the upper part of the park and tore out the drinking fountain that was there too when they put in the new playground in a different part of the park. Seems like a bit of a loss for now.

First time here and I was surprised to see they have parent-baby swings. Mine are are big now so they enjoyed the structure, though theres not easiest way to climb up to get to the slides, no steps.

Open, well maintained, two places for large groups to gather, bbq, wander. Great winter sledding!! New b-ball Court's just put in, over 2nd hill, plus extra play area. Trails are cared for year round and for those who refuse to clean up after themselves, the city, or those of us who come often pick up.

Picked up some food in West St Paul and drove to the park. We went to the upper level and found a food a spot to eat. It's a big area and my dog likes exploring

Hands down best sledding hill. I grew up in West Saint Paul but now live in St Francis. My husband took my kids to Keyes Park in Columbia heights and said it was a really fun experience and I told him that was nothing compared to marthaler park. So today we drove all the way here to go sledding. My kids have been sledding for about 2 and 1/2 hours now and they are still having a blast. And depending on the age of your children, it's great that you can sit in your truck facing the hill so you can watch your kids and not have to go up with them, you can stay nice and cozy in your car. LOL
