A lovely small village town like Newmarket? It's brilliant!

Nice plaza, good array of shops and all under cover away from the elements of the weather. As much as I couldn't see a sign, only Assisted Dogs are allowed within the complex. Handy being in town and with a, mostly undercover, car park right outside with bus station, commuting to the complex is great. Car parking charges are: £1 for 2hrs and £2 for 3hrs, so it's a short stay but there is another long stay car park over by Waitrose.

How many shopping centres in non deprived areas boast such a disproportionately high percentage of charity shops?? Newmarket so desperately needs the council and the shopping centre owners to see sense and lower their rates so that the very best shops will want to come to the area. It is negligent and highly irresponsible to obliterate the physical shopping experience in the town by having so many bookmakers and charity shops and hairdressers/barbers rather then clothes shops and food shops. There is no need to have so many empty shop units when there are business development options open to councils and shopping centre landlords. Surely it is better to take less rent and keep the shops full than the high street and shopping centre disappear completely?

It's OK for a quick walk through. Really don't like being told what side to walk on for goodness sake. As for mask wearring... Why? They can only stop something as small as 130 microns and the virus is 1.3 microns - go figure.

Nice shopping centre, well kept in the heart of the town by the market place and multi storey car park. Seems to have been renovated recently, certainly looks better than it did when it was called The Rookery. Good selection of independent and chain stores. Worth a visit.

The shops that are open are amazing but it's so sad to see so many shut. It's always clean and bright.

My local shopping centre and has most thing a small town needs. It could do with a bit of an overhaul but with newmarket having a bid it isn't affordable

Lots of people out and about. Great late lunch in the Pantry. Managed to get odd hardware items in the High Street.

Great place. Everything you need in one place. Looks pretty just now with Christmas decor and a beautiful dome to take your photo in

People ask me why I left the town I grew up in . If you've ever been there you'll see why . Even the best hotel is now closed .

Nice shopping centre, well kept in the town by the market place and there is a multi-story car park at reasonable prices. Good selection of independent and chain stores. Well worth a visit to see what you think.

Easy parking. Cost £1per hour, up until 6pm. Free after 6pm, but the car park closes at 7pm. Went to the Argos inside this shopping centre. Very easy and quick to collect items, and not far back to the car park to carry heavy, large items.

Found it by chance having left a horse at the vets. Fabulous breakfast at a small very clean. Cafe called BFH or similar one the LHS from the carpark. Breakfast was tasty and plenty of food. Staff were so very polite and friendly. Recommend it.

the guineas shopping centre owners need to come to reality with the prices they are asking for rent. Shops are closing down there at a fast rate because of the high rents. Each time I go, there it looks more and more drab. It will make Newmarket look cheap. Council should step in.

There are still some good shops here but when I moved to Newmarket this place felt vibrant and modern, now it is largely quiet and some brilliant shops have gone. Although there are some good food establishments there is no fishmonger anymore, no Peacocks and no M and S. Having those alongside the current shops would have been good for Newmarket and whoever was responsible for the adjacent 'market square' architecture and surrounds should never have been employed as a planner - it's dated, ugly and a blot on a once busy little town

Good value parking (cash & free after 3pm monday) clean, tidy and reasonable variety of shops unlike newmarket itself.

Nice, bright spaces. car park not easy. They do not need anymore phone repair shops. Good choice of cheap or expensive breakfasts though. Take your pick !!

Pantry was nice, friendly staff .. fish very fresh. Very uncomfortable stools and long wait for food.

Newmarket seems to be struggling with what it wants to be and there aren't really any shops that really have that 'wow factor'. The Guineas has cheap parking and the restaurant/cafe, The Pantry, is pretty much all it has going for it. If you're after basic cheap shops you're in luck: a Poundland type shop, CeX, Argos and B&M all reside here. For locals I'm sure it fills a need, but there's nothing that makes it a destination trip.

I had a lovely experience with the West suffolk council and Guineas shopping centre cleaning staff. We were on a holiday and my wife lost her purse somewhere near the Guineas shopping centre toilet. We looked everywhere but couldn't find it. I called the council even though it was a long shot and spoke to a nice helpful lady and she told me she'll speak to the staff in the shopping centre and get back to me. As she told me, she phoned me back after a few minutes and confirmed that the cleaning staff had found it and kept it in their office. She also told me the place and time to meet them. Another very kind lady from cleaning staff had handed over the purse to us safely, including everything which was inside. Hats off to the staff in West suffolk council and cleaning staff members in Guineas shopping centre and many thanks to the person who has handed over the purse safely to the cleaning staff. They have saved our day, and we can't tell you how grateful we are.

It happened in the summertime and we were watching a game. I had vegan food, quite nice. It's always a huge win when a restaurant bears in mind the meatless, too. The service is super friendly.

Absolutely amazing shop, has loads of great value garden pots, decorations, furniture plus all the things a traditional hardwear store would have. Staff really friendly and helpful. Parking a the back of the shop if collecting furniture. A must see shop

As lockdown rules relax, things will slowly get back to what used to be normal. But we are not out of the woods yet so we all have to be sensible and responsible and still observe all the safety guidelines! It is good that the charity shops are open once again.

I am not a big fan of shipping centers, but this wasn't too big and has good light and had a nice feel to it.

A good selection of shops ranging from pharmacies. Clothes. Charities, opticians, several food /cafes, library. Light airy arcade, clean and well maintained. Easy access to the main high street

Still a reasonable range of shops, mostly low end, but some real nice cafés. The "lane" system is easy to navigate to keep safe. Kind of miss the lack of seating however.

Great selection of shops with Three and O2 Mobile Phone Stores, Subway, and even a Costa Coffee as well. The Gallery is a very popular place to grab a bite to eat. Bus station is situated right outside the door as well.

A nice group of shops, cafes and services, like WC , has parking which is 60p for two hours which is extendable, you also have the library and access to more shops down the high street. Market day is Tuesday and Saturday. Well worth a look it also has a nice selection of charity shops close by including to max and QD store, on the high street

Just a basic little rural shopping centre in Newmaket, what makes it different is it is very clean, the public toilets are well looked after by an onsite janitor, parking is indoor, outdoor and you your coins or card as you wish to pay for parking. An eclectic mix of stores, a fine looking coupke of cafes, a pub selling food and at the end is a small market selling fresh well priced produce, go into the butchers for som great cuts of meat and such friendly service

Unfriendly atmosphere, antagonistic staff in the shops we entered. Can someone please confirm if New Market is a general racist area.
