It
is
a
fine
French
bakery
downstairs,
and
a
bistro
style
restaurant
upstairs,
Charming
for
lunch.
Just
what
you
would
expect
of
a
French
restaurant
in
the
USA:
quiche
lorraine,
croc
monsieur,
salade
niçoise,
steak
frites,
etc.
I
had
the
steak
frites
which
consisted
of
a
small
hangar
steak,
perfectly
cooked
rare,
with
fries
and
a
salad
Bakery
is
very
good.
From
croissants,
cookies
and
sandwiches
to
classic
pastries
such
as
palmiers,
allumettes,
opera,
mille
feuilles,
profiteroles,
éclairs,
and
macarons.
Quality
is
consistent,
but
while
it
will
satisfy,
it
might
never
knock
your
socks
off.
In
the
many
years
I've
known
this
restaurant/bakery,
it
has
never
deviated
from
good
middle
of
the
road,
French
food.
A
comfort
to
some
and
a
bore
to
others.
