This park in westerly is of great size! It is large enough you can see other people yet enjoy your own peace and space. Its a great place to have a picnic because just about anywhere is a spot to sit down and enjoy whats around you. The history there is fascinating and you can easily learn more by talking to the library staff! There is also bathrooms in the library. It's a very dog-friendly park and there are many good boys who stroll around with their owners. I also just love love love how many squirrels run around, and they get pretty close to you! If you throw some nuts they love to grub on them. I come to this park often because it is such a gorgeous and fun place to be! I have met many wonderful people here. They hold all sorts of events, even plays on theatre stages!! I have seen zumba too, you can ask the library staff for more about events and times. I love this park!

A gem of tranquility in the middle of Westerly. Stroll around and marvel at the variety of mature trees. Stop and sit on a bench or get up close and hug one of your tree ancestors. There is a packed used book store within walking distance and a great Mexican restaurant if you want to Bring a book and a taco and spend a serene afternoon amongst these beautiful trees.

What a beautiful park in RI. We decided to enjoy our wraps from Sandy's here on a bench and lookout over the beautiful park. It's super dog friendly and the grass is really green. I was impressed by the variety of trees and that the garden was still flowering in November.

Beautiful, classic city park. Beautifully designed. Clean, right next to the library. Definitely worth a walk when visiting Westerly

Beautiful park In the heart of downtown Westerly. Great for walking and observing all the beauty of the stately trees and pond. In the summertime you will see lotus flowers in the pond. If you want to venture out of the park there's plenty of stores and restaurants at your fingertips. There's also the Westerly library that abuts the park. Overall it has beautiful terrain with some slight hills and open fields.

So serene. Loved that they had benches along the path to sit and enjoy the beautiful day. The park is very dog friendly as long as the dogs are on a leash. Many canines and owners enjoying the park when I was there. While the map mentioned a restroom it was locked when I was there.

Wilcox Park in Westerly, Rhode Island, is an absolute gem! The open space it offers is simply breathtaking, providing a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The well-maintained water fountains add a soothing touch to the surroundings, making it a tranquil oasis. The abundance of trees creates a picturesque landscape, offering shade and a sense of serenity as you stroll along the paths. What I love the most is its convenient proximity to downtown, making it an easily accessible retreat for anyone seeking a moment of relaxation. One fantastic aspect of Wilcox Park is its dog-friendly policy, which makes it the perfect place for dog owners to enjoy quality time with their furry friends. Additionally, the presence of benches throughout the park invites visitors to sit back, unwind, and savor the beauty of nature. The large pond with fish and turtles is a delightful sight to behold, adding a touch of wildlife charm to the park. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply seeking a peaceful spot to read a book, Wilcox Park is an ideal destination to immerse yourself in nature's wonders while still being close to the heart of the town.
