Nice hike down to see the waterfall. The signage is not very good. You'll probably get a little wet. It's steep, around 50 meters in elevation. You walk down from the car park and then back up. You can go in a circle or take the same route down and back. There are 14 parking spots in the car park. The car park can be used for freedom camping as well. There is one porta potty, one garbage can, and one picnic table at the car park. The road is mostly gravel/dirt, up and down part of the mountain. Very narrow road. Google Maps gets a bit lost and doesn't know exactly where the car park is, but follow the scenic lookout sign and you'll be fine.

Great views, u will see a triple waterfalls for the first sight, and keep walking down to explore more, larger waterfall is waiting for you over there. Time is short, it is like 10mins to go down, it is too easy for young children to run up and down. Great for older to exercise sometime. πŸ’™toilet πŸ’™easy climb πŸ’™clean water, great view No many car parks, may need to park further end of the road.

A lovely day outdoors in outstanding weather under blue skies in late March... Several walking tracks provide access in and around this bush reserve. A stream feeds four waterfalls, three of them above viewing and one at ground level. A rocky terrain could provide a base for swimmers or those wanting to sit, observe, enjoy the ambience and partake of a picnic... A toilet is available adjacent to the car park.

How could you not give this place a 5!!! It is BEAUTIFUL! Absolutely loved it, we started our walk from the bottom and got the full effect of the place, definitely worth the walk around! And the drive isn't too bad either to get out there!

If you enjoy visiting and travelling places like the Water falls then this one Kaiate Falls is not to be missed. Nice step walk to multi layered water falls till reach the big one with multi pools to sit, swim and dive in. Beautiful place to visit and definitely to add in your list while in Tauranga. πŸ˜πŸ˜€βœ¨πŸ”πŸ’¦πŸ’§πŸŒΏ

Beautiful waterfalls nice walk however the 2 bridges are gone so you cant cross the river at the moment. If the current is weak enough you can go swimming and cliff jumping. Be careful after heavy rainfall it is quite dangerous

Breathtaking views! Family friendly. The track wasn't too bad at all, we went with our kids and they had a blast. Pretty quiet spot, only about 3 other couples spaced out along the track. Lots of great photography spots!

We were here on 6 Oct 2023. Beautiful waterfall. One of the bridges is damaged (marked on the map). Good nice hike. Come with proper shoes. Some parts can be slippery.

This is a beautiful walk and the falls are stunning. It is a bit slippery in places if it has been wet and a little climb up again if you don't like stairs. But a must see if you are in the area.

Absolutely breathtaking worth every step. A little muddy. It is an easy walk if you are fit, I'm not so I found the steps a bit tough coming back up.

There's a uphill track and downhill track. Doesn't matter which way you go, it's the same amount of uphill either way. The pool is not recommended for swimming as the water is contaminated. Took my dog there and it was a short walk. Took us about 30min to do the round trip. 2 x waterfalls to look at. Nice place for a uphill walk.

There are several big or small waterfalls along the track. Nice place for the short walk. Enjoy the waterfall and beautiful scene.

Excellent hike. Very easy with my prosthetic leg. Definitely a must if you want to escape the city folk and farm country look and feel. This takes you out of the element and its quite stunning. The falls at the bottom of the loop are the most amazing but its beautiful the entire time no matter what trail you choose.

Always a great walk and beautiful waterful. Lovely bush walk. The path is muddy and some paths are closed due to heavy rains and tree obstructions. Can be done in winter or summer!

Very wet but nice place. Signs with not rocommended swimming in area, because of some microbes in water. Two main watrfalls located few hundred meters each other. First is composed by three parts. One - one and half hour journey.

Awesome falls. Think I got sick from the water though. Council advises not to swim but did so at my own risk. Great swimming and jumping place. Did some canyoning down the waterfalls, great fun!

Beautiful! Bunch of steps, a little muddy, fantastic places for jumping into the waterfall Didn't notice any missing bridges either. It's all completely passable

Nice little waterfall area. There are a series of drops in a small area. Not the most fancy, but worth the short drive if in the Bay of Plenty area.

Gorgeous! Either enjoy more gentle pools before you get to the carpark or go for the hike and see the falls. The walk is pretty covered with trees etc so you're not in the sun the whole time. Some areas of the track are a bit wet with recent rain but all very walkable with no issues. We loved it, such a gorgeous place. The water is definitely clean enough to have swim and cool off. We'll definitely be back!
