I was pleasantly surprised. What you get for the price is very reasonable. I got a specialty salad, and it was huge. The side salad was large for $4. The burger was also very tasty. Everything looked fresh and crispy. I would definitely be back and you should check it out if you are looking for a nice sit down meal with plenty of options for all.

Disappointed. It’s such a great building, location, and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the fish was dry, and you only get about eight fries with the basket. The kid's meals were barely warm. I ordered a salad that came out after starting my main meal. My wife’s meal was good. Our server seemed to be somewhere else and not very attentive. It won’t be on our list to go back anytime soon.

Came for happy hour beer Blue Moon $4. Ordered Fish And Chips as suggested by waitress, added a fry mushroom as starter ($2 off starter dishes). Both taste very delicious esp the fish! They also serve very big portions.

We used to eat here often. Our waiter was very rude, arrogant and not helpful. The worst service I have experienced in a very long time. He told my friend who was obviously having a hard time walking (with a walker) that she could get her "own popcorn over there". The light bulb over the table was flickering like crazy. No one seemed to care , so we had to open up the fixture and unscrew the bulb. No flickering, but no light either. The bathroom was filthy too. It seemed like maybe the supervisor wasn't there and no one out front cared. The food (My friend and I had fish and chips and the fish was very good!) Overall the place is looking very tired and in need of a cleaning and sprucing up. I hope they will do it, this used to be a fun place.

Solid dinner choice. Between our family we got the 4 corners of the menu. Everything was pretty good. Food came out fast, price was fair. Service was a little lax, especially considering they were fully staffed and had few customers. Having to hunt down staff to get drink refills is a pet peeve of mine and costs the server in tip and the establishment in review. Again, solid choice for a good meal.

It had been kind of hot or miss lately, I realize some food may not travel well- and order accordingly. I also now realize their website is extremely behind in pricing updates. The person on the phone taking my order wasn't aware of the polices around the business lunch specials and we have gotten different answers all 3 times we have gotten it to go. This meal was a very soggy bun, the meat and peppers tasted unseasoned. The fries were dry so I gave them to my husband which is why you see more in 1 container than the other. At this time the business lunch special is $14 So the added value is you get a drink free, as the Philly cheesesteaks and fries is menu priced at $14, sadly the sandwich and hard cider weren't worth the price point. I am giving them a mid rating because it really has been all or nothing the last few times we have eaten inside or gotten take away. The benefit to eating there is I can send it back.

Great place. Very cool atmosphere and great food. I had the fish and chips and they were delicious. My wife had a burger and she said it was terrific. We also ordered the shrimp and mussels appetizer, great as well. I would definitely go back again if I was in the area. Oh, and contrary to an earlier review, it did NOT smell like farts. :)

Been here a few times in the past and this time we were sat at a table that obviously hadn't been cleaned. When we told the server he just scoffed, and wiped the table. Didn't show up for about 10 minutes so we just left. Used to be such a nice place but this was atrocious. Giving food a 3 since we never got to order and atmosphere a 4 since the place is generally nice but this was very bad.

Had dinner with friends. The service was exceptional. My burger tasted like the grill hadn't been cleaned well - in fairness I didn't say anything while there. I was hungry and just wanted to eat. Tried my friends artichoke dip it was exceptionally good.

Been coming here for years and honestly the food quality has went down. Staff is too busy talking to check on tables! Food comes out cold and nasty!

We were greeted promptly and placed our orders including fried pickles. We had to ask for silverware after the appetizer arrived. We grabbed the first employee, the hostess. She brought back a glass with enough forks for the eight of us but only three napkins. My niece's chicken fingers were overdone. My shrimp was smaller and seemed breaded. I usually eat at the Old Bag on Broad Street in Whitehall. Their shrimp are larger, more flavorful, and are batter fried. The cocktail sauce was good. Coleslaw at both places is terrible. Fried pickles were probably the best I've ever had.

The mussels and shrimp are amazing. A repeat dish for me at this restaurant. I don't eat chocolate, but it had a nice presentation, and it was mentioned it was very good. I like a good Bloody Mary and their's were on point. Very nice atmosphere. Went during the week, not crowded. The service was amazing. Didn't need to ask for anything. Totally recommend this place for a nice, casual dining experience.

Bartender was on point. Happy hour is definitely the way to go. Chicken nachos were dry and lacking much flavor. Hard pass next time. For a Friday night, it emptied out by 7:30ish. Seemed to be an older crowd hang out. Not too many servers just standing around, so that's a good sign. No dinner ordered, but saw huge soup portions. Regulars were by far favored over us new visitors. I'd stop for a beer again at the bar.

Stopped in for the first time for a Father's Day lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how everything was. Staff was friendly and everyone enjoyed their food. My wife got fish and chips was the portion was quite big, it was nicely cooked/battered and tasted great. I ordered the blackened cod reuben-style sandwich and absolutely loved it. There was a choice between getting the cod blackened or baked and blackened was definitely the way to go. The spices were so good and the bread was delicious too. Kids also eat free on Sunday's too which is a nice plus. We'll definitely be back!

The hamburger could be a minimum of two not giving the option of a hamburger only because it is a sad burger but good, good treatment good taste nice place.

Love the old bag of nails. Had an event here and the space is great and spacious and the workers were the best and on top of everything.

The Old Bag of Nails in Westerville is a must go. The restaurant is located in Westerville where there are tons of shops and old buildings on the street. The restaurant itself is located in an old building, with possibly original floors and ceilings. Our servers are always nice and they were patient with my wife while she sampled some of the seasonal brew options. It is a beautiful old building both on the outside and interior. Very well maintained, good sanitation practices and overall a great establishment. All I have to say is come hungry though because when you get Fish and Chips they give you two big battered delicious filets. I tried the Eddie Style battering for the first time. It has a kick to it but dip it in the beer cheese, ranch and buffalo sauce combination and it is a great fish for dipping. I also recommend the pickle spears they do come in six but only pictured four because well they are so hard to not eat at first. I am not much of a pickle person, but I do like fried pickles though. What I like about the pickle spears is that they are not too vinegary, bitter, salty, slimey or too sweet. The batter makes the pickle just right and I recommend the beer cheese to dip them in. My wife did try their seasonal apple cinnamon beer non IPA brew. It was good and reminded her of an apple cider with a hint of spice from the cinnamon at the end. I hope you can visit it soon and while you are there check out the small businesses on the street. My recommendation is Shirley's if you want to feel nostalgic and get gourmet fresh popped assorted popcorn.

Rick is the best server we've had in a while! Supper friendly and knowledgeable about the towns history. Great atmosphere, amazing food. Best Rubin I've had in a long time!

The food was not good at all. It tasted like it was cooked the day prior, then heated up in the microwave and served to us. I ordered 12 boneless wings, and my wife ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich. Not pleased at all with the food.

We ordered the nachos that we have ordered many times before. We always said it was the most consistent in town. Imagine our surprise when the recipe for the nachos was completely different and not in a good way. The former cheese, chicken, lettuce, tomato and (maybe) onions with sour cream and salsa on the side was now chicken, salsa, black beans, fried bean purée, a slight amount of cheese and green onions with sour cream on the side. Was told it has been like this for at least a year. Ummm, no. We had the original recipe a few months ago. Very disappointing. Will not order again.

👍👍 The whole family loved this place. Only issue I had were the onion rings. They were still doughy and had no flavor, don't get them. However, the burgers were awesome and even the kids said they wanted to come back. The fontana sauce is on another level.....amazing. Get a side of it and dip everythin...
